I downloaded EGit p2 repository ZIP (5.7.0.202003110725-r) to install it offline. Though, the installation ends failing with the following error :

I've followed the tutorial in here https://www.eclipse.org/subversive/videos.php but it looks like it's not having it. Is there anything I'm missing? The connector isn't installed as yet because the tutorial says it needs to be installed later (but I even tried when it was installed and it made no difference). My version of STS is this:
Spring Tool Suite
Version: 3.6.4.RELEASE
Build Id: 201503100339
Platform: Eclipse Luna SR1 (4.4.2)
ANy idea?
thanks

Can't upgrade m2e with STS 3.7

I'm running Spring Tool Suite 3.70 RELEASE (build ID 201506290652).
It's telling me that there are upgrades available for a number of components but when I try to do the upgrade I get a complaint that the repositories can not be located. Also, when I start it, I get an error that automatic updates can't be performed (or something to that effect) with the same details I'm posting below.
Is there a way to change the repository location, or is this a more significant issue?
Thanks...

That error is coming from Eclipse complaining that it could not find any repositories. It looks like a network problem.
You can also try with this direct link: http://public.dhe.ibm.com/ibmdl/export/pub/software/products/en/MobileFirstPlatform/mobilefirst_studio_plugin_7.0.0.zip
Open Eclipse > Help > Install software... > Add button, select the archive and continue with the installation.

unable to install CDT in Eclipse Luna

I have just downloaded Eclipse Luna in his package Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers. I want to add Eclipse CDT to program in C/C++ (I know I can download CDT package, but I prefer this way, don't offer that option as an answer please).
When I tried to install it using Marketplace I didn't found Luna version.
If I use Luna update site, that retrieves CDT 8.4.0.201406111759, I got this error:
An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
session context was:(profile=epp.package.jee, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).
No repository found containing: osgi.bundle,org.eclipse.net4j.jms.api,3.1.100.v20140218-1709
If I use Kepler update site, retrieving CDT 8.3.0.201402142303I, I got this error:
An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
session context was:(profile=epp.package.jee, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).

I added Eclipse CDT 8.4 update site (http://download.eclipse.org/tools/cdt/releases/8.4), it retrieves version 8.4.0.201406111759, same version than Luna update site, and obviously error was the same:

How can I install Eclipse CDT in my Eclipse Luna instance?
PD: Eclipse forums are not accepting my credentials of Eclipse account, I could not post my question there.
Finally I solved the problem. I was using Oracle Java 6 to execute Eclipse. After upgrading to Oracle Java 8, the installation process executed correctly.
Go to Help > Install new software...
Add the following URL: http://download.eclipse.org/tools/cdt/releases/8.4/ and install CDT from there. The current Luna repository for CDT in Marketplace does not function properly, so the manual way is the way to go.

I also tested to install PyDev on eclipse 4.2 and got the same error.
After testing different versions of eclipse and getting the same error.
I downloaded the PyDev Zip files instead and placed and unpacked in eclipse/dropins, restarted eclipse and it is working fine!
For PyDev in eclipse use this URL :
http://update-production-pydev.s3.amazonaws.com/pydev/updates/site.xml
i.e. in your eclipse=>Help=>Install new software=>Add=>Location
: use above URL
After eclipse restart
Go to Window=>preferences=>PyDev=>Interpreters=>Python Interpreters=>provide python path
