How to Enable Intellisense in VS Code + Ionide? - visual-studio-code

I've created an F# (script) app via the dotnet cli using the following outlined steps. However, when I open the app/project in VS Code with Ionide, intellisense is inactive. How can I resolve this?
To create the app/project, I:
Created an app directory
Ran dotnet new tool-manifest and dotnet tool install paket and dotnet paket restore
Ran dotnet paket init
Modified paket.dependencies
Opened "project" in VS Code with Ionide
paket.dependencies (Note: I removed framework restrictions)
source https://api.nuget.org/v3/index.json
storage: packages
nuget FSharp.Data
Script:
#r "./packages/FSharp.Core/lib/netstandard2.0/FSharp.Core.dll"
#r "./packages/FSharp.Data/lib/netstandard2.0/FSharp.Data.dll"
open System
open FSharp.Data
type research = CsvProvider<"./path/to/file", HasHeaders=true, PreferOptionals=true>
let data = research.GetSample()

How do I send cmd key mappings on macOS from kitty to neovim?

I'd like to use the following mapping in my mappings.lua configuration:
map('n', '<C-D-[>', ':BufferPrevious<cr>', options)
map('n', '<C-D-]>', ':BufferNext<cr>', options)
map('n', '<C-D-w>', ':BufferClose<cr>', options)
I currently have this in my kitty.conf which is not working.
map ctrl+cmd+[ send_text all ?
The latest commit of the current Neovide repository does not support macOS without Python2 installed.
To fix this, you should revert to commit db53e94 after cloning the repository. To do this, execute the following command:
git reset --hard db53e94
And add the following environment variables in zshrc:
export SKIA_BINARIES_URL=https://github.91chi.fun//https://github.com/rust-skia/skia-binaries/releases/download/{tag}/skia-binaries-{key}.tar.gz
Restart the shell, re-use the cargo bundle --release command to build the App, and drag the built App to the /Applications folder.

Lost intellisense and squiggles

For some reason, all my new projects created using dotnet no longer have intellisense or squiggles. However, if I open an old project, those still have intellisense and squiggles.
How do I get intellisense and squiggles in my new projects?
Using C# in VSC on Linux (Ubuntu 20.04).

Dotnet restore not working

dotnet Version: 1.1.0 (global.json)
NuGet Version : 4.4.1.4656
VS2017 v15.5.2 (as Administrator)
.NET Core 1.1
The solution I am trying to build
Update I:
I just changed the project to run under target framework .NET Core v2.0 & sdk version 2.1.3 and I only get these kind of errors:
Severity Code Description Project File Line Suppression State
Error NU1202 Package Microsoft.Extensions.FileProviders.Physical 1.1.0
is not compatible with netcoreapp2.0 (.NETCoreApp,Version=v2.0).
Package Microsoft.Extensions.FileProviders.Physical 1.1.0 does not
support any target
frameworks. AspNetCoreExample C:\Users\Admin\Source\Repos\Examples\src\AspNetCoreExample\AspNetCoreExample.csproj 1
Update II:
While the following solves the current issue, i am not sure if it solves the root cause for this issue.
Delete the global nuget.config file %AppData%/Nuget/Nuget.config.
I fixed this issue by doing the following:
I migrated the project to .net core 2.0 and changed the global.json to point to sdk 2.1.3.
Removed all references in AspNetCoreExample manually and added the latest version for all of them.
Issues with target framework 1.1
When doing a restore from the solution in VS 2017:
When doing the restore from cmd (dotnet restore)
Running dotnet restore in Package Manager Console
NuGet.targets(103,5): error : Access to the path 'System.Runtime.dll'
is denied
.NET Core SDKs installed:
.NET Host
Now when opening the solution I get:
Comparing the log entries you pasted to their AppVeyor build,
https://ci.appveyor.com/project/Autofac/examples
Your machine's NuGet configuration seems to be broken. Analyze that and fix the issues.
You should add this code to your .csproj file
<RuntimeFramework>2.0.3</RuntimeFramework>
This worked for me.

CakeBuild: Get failed to install tool 'NUnit.ConsoleRunner'

I used CakeBuild to build and test my Xamarin Portable Class Library.
In the build.cake script I defined that I want to use the NUnit-Console to run my testcases. So I do
#tool nuget:?package=NUnit.ConsoleRunner
Unfortunatelly I get the following error when I run the Cake script.
Preparing to run build script...

Error: Failed to install tool 'NUnit.ConsoleRunner'.
When I add a specific version I want to use like below then everything works fine.
#tool nuget:?package=NUnit.ConsoleRunner&version=3.7.0
Can someone tell me why it is not working without the version stuff?
With ".\build.ps1 -Verbosity Diagnostic" I get the following output:

Now I found my problem and solved it.
The problem was that the NuGet.exe did not has a source feed which points to a public nuget source like "https://api.nuget.org/v3/index.json".
This was because my default NuGet.conf in under "C:\Users\YOUR_USER_HOME\AppData\Roaming\NuGet" had no packageSource defined. So Nuget just knows the local nuget package cache under "C:\Users\YOUR_USER_HOME.nuget\packages" and this did not include the specified package.
So after I added a packageSource in "C:\Users\YOUR_USER_HOME\AppData\Roaming\NuGet\NuGet.Conf" everything works fine.
Another way can be to add a new NuGet.Conf beside your build.ps1 file which contains all package sources you need for CakeBuild and your Xamarin project.
The following page explains how Nuget finds its configuration. Maybe this is helpful to understand the mechanism NuGet uses to find its configuration:

NuGet restore during first asp.net vNext project

Today I installed ASP.NET 5 on windows and begun creating my first application in Visual Studio 2015.
When the project loads I get an error: "Package restore failed", specifically the following error:
Restore failed Det gick inte att hitta en del av skvgen C:\Users\h\.dnx\packages\Microsoft.Win32.Primitives\4.0.0\Microsoft.Win32.Primitives.4.0.0.nupkg.sha512. NuGet Config files used:

Feeds used:
https://api.nuget.org/v3-flatcontainer/
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Web Tools\DNU
When I look for the missing file I find the following path missing:
C:\Users\h\.dnx\packages\Microsoft.Win32.Primitives\4.0.0\Microsoft.Win32.Primitives.4.0.0.nupkg.sha512
But this one exists, note the extra 0 in the version:
C:\Users\h\.dnx\packages\Microsoft.Win32.Primitives\4.0.0.0\Microsoft.Win32.Primitives.4.0.0.0.nupkg.sha512
How would I go about to solve this?
I've tried to search through the project files but no mention of neither Primitives nor verion 4.0.0.
The "Solution DNX SDK version" is 1.0.0-beta8, (beta5 was also available but not selected).
Delete C:\Users\h.dnx\packages folder and try running "dnu restore" command.
