I created a new flutter project by VS Code. but I don't know why I am got this error on run
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
What went wrong:
A problem occurred configuring root project 'android'.

I searched a lot for the gradle problem but I can't see any solution
I installed Android studio, Android SDK 29, Flutter SDK and VS code plugins

I think you need to open the android folder with AndroidStudio and let Gradle to download android dependencies.
solution:
if some countries have been banned maybe you need to use some VPN to download these dependencies. Hotspot shield is a good option cause it will change the IP address of your machine.

I recently Solved this problem.
This Problem came from gradle file is corrupted in my system.
I'm using Linux so this steps almost same in windows also. This answer is for any gradle version.
Open File Manager:
enable Show hidden folder from top menu bar.
You may find this location : .gradle>wrapper>dists.
In Linux: Home > .gradle > wrapper > dists.
In Windows: C:>Users>{PC Name}>.gradle>wrapper>dists
Method 1
Go inside gradle-6.5-all > dists > 2oz4ud9k3tuxjg84bbf55q0tn. '2oz4ud9k3tuxjg84bbf55q0tn' may be different in your PC.
Delete all files in that folder and download required file manually: https://downloads.gradle-dn.com/distributions/gradle-6.5-all.zip
after download paste freshly downloaded zip file in that folder.
Run your project flutter run -v
Method 2
Try this if you have fast & stable internet connection.
Delete that gradle-6.5-all folder.
Open project in VS code or Android Studio and open terminal.
Run this command flutter run -v
Method 3
Flutter Doctor will give right result.
Open Android Studio
Create new flutter project
Click on Tools > flutter >Flutter for editing in android studio
and wait, flutter doctor takes time to identify problem.
Use this link for download gradle file.
Replace 6.5 with your gradle version.
https://downloads.gradle-dn.com/distributions/gradle-6.5-all.zip
I hope this answer helpful for you.
Please use the below command
1.Mac User :
rm -rf ~/.gradle
2.Windows User :
remove the .gradle file
.gradle file location -> C:\Users\myUser
I solve this error by updating the gradle plugin/version. I have as part of my configuration:
Windows 10
Android Studio 4.2.1
Java 11: Android Studio 4.2.1 don't have support for JDK 16, so, I installed JDK 11, and configured the AS (how to change the jdk in AS) to use this older JDK
Gradle 7.0.1
By default, when you create a new Flutter project, the IDE created it with basic standard configurations, so you have to change this configs to fit your current config. For that, you need to update the gradle config in the flutter project, as follow:
in android/gradle/build.gradle file: update the gradle plugin to 4.2.0 in the dependencies section, like this:
dependencies {
classpath 'com.android.tools.build:gradle:4.2.0'
//more dependencies
}
in android/gradle/wrapper/gradle-wrapper.properties file: update the gradle version, in this case I have the 7.0.1, feel free to use another one, like this
distributionUrl=https\://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-7.0.1-all.zip
//more attributes
After you change the gradle config, run this commands in your project:
flutter clean : clean the project
flutter pub get : update your dependencies
flutter run : run the project. Now it must work, at least it work for me
I faced the same problem in VSCode when I wanted to run the Flutter app I got that error, so after lots of debugging and research, I found the solution. it's pretty easy, just follow these steps:
In windows 10:
1. Open flutter project in a Text-Editor like VSCode.
2. Open android -> gradle -> wrapper -> gradle-wrapper.properties
3. You will find "gradle-6.7.1.all.zip" inside gradle-wrapper folder
4. Go to this path: C:\Users\your-user
5. Then go to the wrapper->dists and find "gradle-6.7.1.all" folder
5. Delete this folder.
6. Then come to VSCode and open Terminal.
7. Please make sure that you have stable internet connection then type this command in terminal
8. flutter run
I hope this solution can help you!
I solve this error by deleting the .gradle folder.
This location is gradle folder
In Windows: C:> Users> {PC Name}>. Gradle
After deleting this folder, you only need to run the application again in Android Studio. At this point, Android Studio starts downloading the deleted folder automatically.
enter image description here
This error is caused by corrupted gradle files, this is either due to incomplete downloads due to network issues. To solve it easily download the gradle zipped file from https://downloads.gradle-dn.com/distributions/gradle-6.7-all.zip and paste on the .gradle directory as shown below if you are on linux
enter image description here
I try all method but it did not work for me so i decided to location the gradle-wrapper.properties in the andriod folder then i change the distribution gradle link to a more recent gradle link.
Welcome SO.
Java 16/latest version is not fully compatible with the Gradle 6 at this moment. Try to use java 11 or 8, it will resolve your issue.

No toolchains found in the NDK toolchains folder for ABI with prefix: arm-linux-androideabi

I was working on a Flutter project and everything was working fine until I updated My Android Studio and some of the SDK tools. Then when I was trying to run my project, I was getting the Error below:
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
* What went wrong:
Execution failed for task ':app:stripDebugDebugSymbols'.
> No toolchains found in the NDK toolchains folder for ABI with prefix: arm-linux-androideabi
* Try:
Run with --stacktrace option to get the stack trace. Run with --info or --debug option to get more log output. Run with --scan to get full insights.
* Get more help at [https://help.gradle.org](https://help.gradle.org)
BUILD FAILED in 1m 4s
Exception: Gradle task assembleDebug failed with exit code 1
So what have gone wrong? What should I do?
The main reason is that NDK 23 has different toolchain than the previous versions of NDK (22-), so the old version of AGP (Android Gradle Plugin) has not idea where to find the executables for different ABIs.
For me, simply update the AGP version in the build.gradle in your Android project root to 4.0+, such as
dependencies {
classpath "com.android.tools.build:gradle:4.0.1"
...
This will resolve the problem.
Note: You will need to set the environment variable ANDROID_NDK_HOME to your NDK 22- location, even Google's document does not require that or says it is deprecated.
If you want to stick to the current version of AGP, there is another work around, simply add this
android {
android.ndkVersion "21.4.7075529" // (or whichever NDK 22- version you have installed)
...
to your module's build.gradle (not the build.gradle of your project)
Some other ways to work around this can be found here, Configure the NDK for the Android Gradle plugin
Well I solved the issue in 2 different ways:
A. I downgraded my NDK from version 23.0.7123448 to 22.0.7026061 by simple steps below:
1.Open SDK Manager from tool bar of android studio or from settings menu (File --> Settings --> Appearance and Behavior --> System Settings --> Android SDK).
Select the SDK Tools tab and from the Bottom Right of the window check the Show package details. Then simply uncheck any version you want to delete and select Apply.
(For me removing version 23.0.7123448 and get to 22.0.7026061 solved the problem. But if you are still having the Error above try to lower the NDK version. The most stable NDK version is 20.1.5948944)
If you have done all the steps before, you will see the following window popping up. Hit OK and you are all set.
B. This approach might look simple but yet it does the trick. Simply create a new Flutter project and get all you work (lib folder, assets, etc) to the new project.
Environment
OS : Big Sur 11.1
npm 7.24.0
node v14.15.5
react-native-cli: 2.0.1
react-native: 0.63.4
Command
react-native run-android
Error
*What went wrong:
Execution failed for task ':app:stripDebugDebugSymbols'.
No toolchains found in the NDK toolchains folder for ABI with prefix: arm-linux-androideabi
Fix
Checking Android SDK Tools, NDK (side-by-side):
In the android toolbar go to:
Tools >> SDK Manager
![Tools-SDK][1]
Then in the popup aside navigation go to:
Appearance & Behavior >> System Settings >> Android SDK

Click “SDK Tools”
Check the box next to show package details

Solution:
Downgrade

Idea for downgrade: Taba's solution
Here's what worked for me
I updated AGP to 4.1+ in my Android Project root build.gradle
dependencies {
classpath "com.android.tools.build:gradle:4.1.0"
...
AGP 4.1+ supports only gradle version gradle-6.5 above
so I updated the distributionUrl in gradle-wrapper.properties file located in gradle/wrapper folder
distributionUrl=https\://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-6.5-all.zip
Get more info here
what worked for me was
I change my Gradle dependencies from 3.5.1 to 4.0.1
dependencies {
classpath 'com.android.tools.build:gradle:4.0.1'
}
which is under build.gradle
The minimum Gradle support for Gradle dependencies(gradle:4.0.1) is gradle-6.1.1
if your gradle version for the project is below that you will have to change it by downloading a higher version or if you have it and you're using a wrapper, you will have to change the distribution to the one higher or same as the 6.1.1 version.
which is under >gradle >wrapple >gradle-wrapple.properties
distributionBase=GRADLE_USER_HOME
distributionPath=wrapper/dists
zipStoreBase=GRADLE_USER_HOME
zipStorePath=wrapper/dists
distributionUrl=https\://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-6.7-all.zip
You might most likely need to add to your NDK
for Gradle-6.7 the supported NDK is NDK(side by side) version 21.0.6113669
which is under >tools >sdk manager(android SDK) >sdk tools >ndk side by side
click show package details click and download the appropriate one for you
I clean all SDK folders in c:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\ndk\
Recent AppCenter android dependencies changes caused my android builds to fail with this error:
No toolchains found in the NDK toolchains folder for ABI with prefix: arm-linux-androideabi
Our solution was to upgrade the gradle version from 3.5.4 to 4.0.1 in the root build.gradle file:
dependencies {
classpath 'com.android.tools.build:gradle:4.0.1'
Additional answer for #gwang and #TillyJonesy:
When running Gradle command with --info(AGP 3.5.4 for me), you will see that when no NDK version was given, AGP will try to use the highest NDK version.
And from the docs of Android NDK guidance, AGP <= 3.5 has no default NDK version.
See: https://developer.android.com/studio/projects/install-ndk#default-ndk-per-agp
Solution for native android developers
Go to File->Settings->Appearance & Behaviour->System Settings->Android SDK-> then select SDK Tools and check 'Show Package Details' from bottom.
in Dropdown of NDK(Side by Side) ,check 22.1.7171670 and uncheck remaining then apply and click ok.

Deep AR Flutter: Direct local .aar file dependencies are not supported when building an AAR

I'm following the documentation as given in the plugin page on camera_deep_ar
I have set the minimumSdkVersion to 19
Given the permissions correctly in the AndroidManifest.xml
Set up the proguard-android.txt file correctly
And used the sample code given in the docs
This is the error it gives me on running the app.
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
* What went wrong:
Execution failed for task ':camera_deep_ar:bundleDebugAar'.
> Direct local .aar file dependencies are not supported when building an AAR. The resulting AAR would be broken because the classes and Android resources from any local .aar file dependencies would not be packaged in the resulting AAR. Previous versions of the Android Gradle Plugin produce broken AARs in this case too (despite not throwing this error).
The error seems to be thrown from the camera_deep_ar plugin. Try rebuilding the Flutter project to check if this can solve the references in the project. To do this, run flutter clean then flutter pub get.

Ionic build faild:

When I build a new ionic app to android ,

Anyone can help me? I am confused.
OK, I know how to solve this problem.
First steps: Ansure have download jdk and set the 'java_home' and 'classpath';
Second steps: Ansure have download node, which verison is 1.8+;
Third steps : Downloading android studio , in this step will auto upset gradle and SDK;
After do above three steps, u can use android studio create a new blank android app an run simulator.
The last steps: set system enviroment variable 'SDK_HOME' and 'ANDROID_HOME' like this:
ANDROID_HOME E:\sdk (this is my computer setting)
SDK_HOME E:\sdk
path %SDK_HOME%\tools;%SDK_HOME%\platformtools;C:\Users\xxxxx\.gradle\wrapper\dists\gradle-4.1-all\bzyivzo6n839fup2jbap0tjew\gradle-3.1
EDIT:
Correction in folder name: platform-tools
%SDK_HOME%\tools;%SDK_HOME%\platform-tools;C:\Users\xxxxx\.gradle\wrapper\dists\gradle-4.1-all\bzyivzo6n839fup2jbap0tjew\gradle-3.1

Unable to build ionic app using the ibm-mfp-push cordova plugin on Android (conflict with google-analytics cordova plugin)

I've been developing an Ionic app for several months, successfully using the ibm-mfp-push plugin for Push Notifications.
I would now need to use the cordova-plugin-google-analytics plugin.
I've added the plugin to my project and was able to make it work properly on iOS.
But when trying to build the project for android, I get the following error:
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
* What went wrong:
Execution failed for task ':transformClassesWithDexForDebug'.
> com.android.build.api.transform.TransformException: com.android.ide.common.process.ProcessException: java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: com.android.dex.DexException: Multiple dex files define Lcom/google/android/gms/internal/zzpz;
Seems like there is a conflict between ibm-mfp-push and cordova-google-analytics.
Could someone please provide some help?
Thanks
Right now adding this Google Analytics plugin for Cordova does result in a conflict with the ibm-mfp-push plugin -- I am able to recreate and confirm. I've let the service team know.
For the time being, I recommend using the native solution for Android.
