Hi I have a PowerApp connected to Sharepoint List. The sharepoint list has 2 to columns that are lookup values of peson/group. Please see screenshot of powerapp display screen below.
As I noted on the screenshot, I want have a button to send email. When the button is clicked, the email-screen template by PowerApps (Link) appears.
How do I autopopulate the Sponsor and BackUp Sponsor fields to the Email-Template, while still allowing the user to add more people if necessary?
I am not sure if this is needed butÂ
I don't think you will be able to add the people into that control, but you could create a label that shows the people from your form above the "To" field in the email form and let the user enter additional recipients into the To field.
The icon that triggers the sending of the mail has underlying code in the OnSelect property. The first command in there sets the variable _emailRecipientString by concatenating several strings.
Set( _emailRecipientString, Concat(MyPeople, Mail & ";") );
Add your list of people as parameters inside the Concat() function.
I also posted the answer here
here is the answer:
Add the code to the Notify/Send Email in the Display Screen
ClearCollect(selecteduser,
ForAll(DataCardValue1.SelectedItems,Office365Users.SearchUser({searchTerm:Email})),
ForAll(DataCardValue2.SelectedItems,Office365Users.SearchUser({searchTerm:Email}))
);
Clear(MyPeople); ForAll(selecteduser,Collect(MyPeople,Value))
I hope this helps someone else

I have a form request and i want to let someone edit only his own request except from me and my team that we can always edit. So I need to set edit button visible only for my team and the original creator of the form. I used the user.email to get the email of the user who uses the app but I cant use equality netween this variable and the data card value as its incompatible user type. Text with table. How can i get the email in the data card and compare it to the users email?
actually it's quite easy, your requestorEmail should be coming from some datasource like sharepoint record or datavererse or so on.
You can get current record and then it's property requestorEmail convert it to Text using Text function.
you could also try ThisItem.requestorEmail and with text function you can do so.
Ms Docs should help
In addition if you could show/add code for your requestorEmail data card, I can try to provide exact function to extract email. but above info should lead you in correct direciton
I used on change action of the datacard and used set global variable varUserEmail to thisitem.requestoremail . Then i set the button visible if the user email = varUserEmail.Email . So in this way everytime the email changes to the email that is supposed to edit the request the buttons are visible for editing or deleting the report.
I'm doing a project where the Google Assistant generates a list of cards about information on research articles. Each card on the list would have the title and URL to the research article. The Google Assistant would ask what subject you wants to research about and the user would reply with the subject matter in one or two words. I have the following questions
I understand that the app.buildList() command requires an alias and key variable. Could I level them as blank or null in my code because I don't think I need them
If the user clicks on the URL in a card, will the browser automatically open the link? I remember reading that Google must filter and approve URLs in Google assistant apps
Any help would be appreciated
You should probably populate the relevant fields for each API call in order to handle various types of user inputs. The key is used to identify the item that is being said. If a list is shown, you will need to use the key to identify which is clicked. The user may click on the list item to select it. However, they could also say the thing they want. That is where the aliases are useful.
Let's say you were grabbing a list of scholarly articles. While long articles may not lend themselves well to voice, it could be designed like:
function list () {
const app = new DialogflowApp({request, response});
app.askWithList('Alright! Here are some articles about memristors! Which do you want?',
// Build a list
app.buildList('Memristor Research')
// Add the first item to the list
.addItems(app.buildOptionItem('TITLE_OF_FIRST_PAPER',
['title of first paper', 'first'])
.setTitle('Title of First Paper')
.setDescription('S. Smith, Ph. D')
// Add the second item to the list
.addItems(app.buildOptionItem('TITLE_OF_SECOND_PAPER',
['title of second paper', 'second'])
.setTitle('Title of Second Paper')
.setDescription('H. Paul, Ph. D')
)
);
}
In this snippet, if I say I want the first article, it will give me that one without me having to give the full title while still keeping the interaction hands-free. The key will let me identify the article that should be read.
You can use the title of the paper or perhaps the link URL in order to handle it and present a card with more information including the URL.
You do not need to have each URL manually approved. The documentation states:
Links to sites outside the developer's domain are allowed.
Link text cannot be misleading. This is checked in the approval process.
As long as you are being straightforward about it, users will be able to directly open the paper in a browser by clicking on the link in the card.
More information is available in the documentation
You can create list in action on google should have minimum of two values and maximum of 30 values.

currently we have a custom record with a list/record field that links to an opportunity and i can create a button that creates new emails (via workflow) pulling recipient information from the contact on the opportunity record but what i want to know is if there is a way to replicate the "New Email" button usually found on a record's Mail Merge tab as i want to be able to press a button to open an email template that has no recipient set as currently the send email workflow option has both recipient and sender as mandatory fields - is this possible?
You can edit the Custom Record Type to check the 'Enable Mail Merge' checkbox, then you should have this functionality.
If you want the functionality to be available via a button in the main button group, I don't believe this is possible using a workflow only; however you can achieve this with scripting. To do this, create a User Event script with a Before Load function to add the button to the form, and a Client Script which can be called on clicking the button. Upload and deploy to the Custom Record Type that you want the email button to appear on. For this answer I'll assume you have at least a basic knowledge of creating a script record - let me know if you need more information.
The User Event script:
function emailButton(type, form)
{
//add a custom button on the form
//specify the function name of the Client script created in Step 2
form.addButton('custpage_Add', 'Start Email','startEmail();');
//set the internal id of the Client script created in Step 2
form.setScript('customscript_ppcs_start_email_client');
}
The Client script:
function startEmail() {
new_message([['transaction',document.forms['main_form'].elements['id'].value],['entity',document.forms['main_form'].elements['companyid'].value],['template',['66']]], 'EMAIL');
}
You can modify the template used by replacing the '66' with the internal ID of the template you want, or you can remove it. You can also remove the 'entity' as you don't want the recipient to be set. Below is an example with both removed:
function startEmail() {
new_message([['transaction',document.forms['main_form'].elements['id'].value]], 'EMAIL');
}
I am working on an application with xpages.I would like to send emails with that contain links.
When I send the link, it does not appear in clickable format.Can someone help me to have clickable format?
Thank you
var db = session.getCurrentDatabase();
var memo = db.createDocument();
memo.appendItemValue("Body","http://www.my_link.com");
memo.appendItemValue("Form", "Memo");
memo.appendItemValue("Subject", "New task !");
var t = mail.getValue();
memo.send(t);
If you do it like this, the "Body"- Item is a simple Text- Item and not a Richtext- Item. Text- Items cannot contain clickable links.
You have to explicitly define Body as a NotesRichtextItem and append text to it:
var rtitem:NotesRichTextItem = memo.createRichTextItem("Body");
rtitem.appendText("http://www.my_link.com");
rtitem.addNewLine();
This way the link will automatically be converted to a clickable hotspot.
If you are hoping that the statement memo.appendItemValue("Body","http://www.my_link.com"); will create a rich text field with link then it won't. For that use NotesRichTextItem class. You could also look into this Technote on how to create HTML formatted mail messages.
One question here, where will the recipient would be viewing this mail? In Notes client or this mail would be sent to IDs like Gmail or Yahoo? If recipient would be viewing this mail in Lotus Notes then you would have to enable this setting in your Notes client.
Go to File > Preferences > Basic Notes Client Configuration. Under the section Additional options enable the setting Make Internet URLs (http://.......) into Hotspots.
If the mail is being sent to IDs like Gmail or Yahoo then you would be at their mercy on how links are displayed. But in my experience they always display links, if they are in valid format.
I need to add a checkbox with text "Send a copy of this email to yourself" to Contact Form 7 in WordPress, so the sender can receive a copy of the message he sents.
I can't find anything on google, so your help would be really appreciated.
Thank you.
In the solutions above you can have two recipients, but you asked about a mail copy, so a carbon copy perhaps. The best practice is to use the "additional headers" functionality of the "contact form 7" wp plugin.
Good luck! :)
P.S.: But with checkbox it is more complicated, you need to use JS validation in "Form" box.
I am not using Contact Form 7 anymore but as far as I remember on the settings page of your form, there are two areas called Mail. The first one is for receipment and you can enable the other one by checking the checkbox Mail(2). That one is for copies.

By the way, I recommend using: http://www.gravityforms.com/
Very easy to use and lots of options to play with.
add this code to your theme's functions.php
add_filter( 'wpcf7_additional_mail', 'my_wpcf7_use_mail_2_or_not', 10, 2 );
function my_wpcf7_use_mail_2_or_not( $additional_mail, $cf ) {
if ( 'yes' != $cf->posted_data['sendcopy'] )
$additional_mail = array();
return $additional_mail;
}
and alter the select tag to this:
[select sendcopy "no" "yes"]
Copy email form the one with mail tags that you receive and place it to the mail(2) field. and
ticke the Mail(2). then your Mail(2) will be active only when they select "yes".
In the mailing address input field you can just add additional email addresses separated by a comma.
+1 for Gravity Forms too. It's developer licence is well worth the money a brilliant plugin.
