Card flip to hero/dialog in Flutter - flutter

Looking to achieve an animation going from a bunch of card-like widgets in a gridview to a simple dialog, using a hero-style transition. I've mocked something up in Unity to demonstrate the concept
I've played around a bit with a hero tranisition (trying various things like RotationTransition) and have also used a package called Flip Card (https://pub.dev/packages/flip_card), but I can't quite get the two concepts working together, wondering if someone had some ideas

I'm trying to add a GridView to a Container, but an indent appears at the top. Please tell me how to fix this?
I painted the Container red to show that there is a padding on top. I could not find a solution to this problem on the Internet. I'm new to Flutter, maybe I missed an important point in building this widget.
You can try wrap GridView with a MediaQuery.removePadding() then set removeTop property to True.

I have used your code pretty much, just for the Carousel, I have used the ListView.builder(). Rest is fine.
The catch is to use Expanded class inside your Column() to take the height automatically for the Carousel
Follow the code along, and see the result as well, no extra space in the UI in the GridView

Flutter: Long Press on picture to get zoomed preview like Instagram

so I am currently having a grid of pictures and I want to implement a feature from instagram: If you longPress on one of the pictures, you get a a larger version of that picture appearing in the middle of the screen. If you stop pressing, the image dissapears.
I don't really need the code for that, but I just can't think of which widgets I should use.
Is there maybe a package for something like this? If not then how can I do it with Flutter standard widgets? Maybe using a dialog that appears on the longPress ?

RefreshIndicator not working with SingleChildScrollView as child

I am trying to use RefreshIndicator to reload a list I show on my home screen. The code looks similar to this:

EventsList is another stateful widget that will call an API and map the response to a list of widgets. I have tried setting the physics property of the SingleChildScrollView as mentioned here: https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/22180 but no luck. Using ListView instead of the SingleChildScrollView doesn't work either.
It seems to be working fine in this example When I pull to refresh then resfreshEventList gets fired and also setState is working without any problem.

If you try to use OverflowBox or Transform, content of an item will still clip and won't be drawn outside of its bounding box. But it's possible to use Overlay to draw an element on top of list and position it on a specific list item, though it's a bit complicated.
