possible to only allow users on my chromebook to only surf a handful of sites? - router

I'm looking and i can't find it.
Possible to configure a chromebook to allow users access to ONLY a handful of domains like gmail, google, youtube, linkedin, etc? not deny but allow only... if so, where/how? version specific? Any hacks or work around?
If not, any good comcast fiber internet compatible wifi routers out there with built in firewall that can do this well.. maybe by mac addresses? that log? and can chromebook users hack/change their mac address without rooting to hack around this restriction? Can Windows 10 users hack their way around this?

To set policies for the Chromebook itself you'd need to enroll it on an Enterprise domain:

I assume you're not an admin for such a domain however. If you want set policies for your kids you can use parental controls on their Google Accounts:

You can also control which accounts are allowed on your Chromebook:

Bonjour - one server multiple clients - ios iPhone

Im developing an app where one iOS device act as "server", and other devices are acting like clients.
Im getting hard time with understanding if I can make this using Bonjour
If I make an example:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
All devices have same app installed. All users are connected to the same WIFI.
User must login into app, and when it does, chat rooms are populated from CMS (web server) from internet.
All of them see e.g. all "chat rooms". But at the beginning chat rooms are all read only. Anyone can browse these, but nobody can write into them.
When administrator (user with admin privileges) opens one of the chat rooms; all clients are now able to write into "open" chat rooms.
Of course when one user writes something down, the other users see the newest comment from him.
Administrator should see all clients in chat room but clients cannot see each other.

All samples which I have found (WiTap, videos from WWDC,...) are using two devices only. I've installed WiTap on 4 devices. And I can establish connection and working "sample" game with two devices.
Can Bonjour service be used in such way that multiple cients are connected to one "server"?
Any hints are very welcome!
Yes, Bonjour can be used like that: for example Apache on Mac OS X has mod_bonjour so that web browsers can find a web server on the local network. That can mean having one server but multiple browsers: exactly the situation you describe.
One limitation is that the way Bonjour is configured in iOS means that the server and clients need to be on the same local network. It doesn't sound like the situation you describe is compatible with using Bonjour in that way, but then I also don't think you need to. You can use the DNS name of your chat server in the app, so any app can discover the server. The server can also be responsible for discovering which clients are connected and allowing people to find each other (indeed, I guess that's what the chat rooms are for).
This is a good place to start. http://mobileorchard.com/tutorial-networking-and-bonjour-on-iphone/ I have build the same Server and client with the help of chatty. But you will face one problem in iOS5 only, when the iphone will go to sleep mode, the socket connection lost. I am not able to solve this problem. So, looking for help. :)

AJAX chat client for Cisco WebEx Connect

I'm working on creating a chat client that is supposed to interface with Cisco's WebEx Connect IM. I'm using Cisco's CAXL library and I got it to work with gchat, which seemed a reasonable XMPP start-point. However, now I'm totally stuck. What services do I need to register for at Cisco to get access to a BOSH / XMPP endpoint that I can use with the chat client? How would I go about this? The project has an unlimited budget but I can't figure out what to buy -- totally unfamiliar with Cisco's enterprise jungle.
I've contacted WebEx support but no response yet. We don't have a real account with them yet so support seems hard to come by.
Thanks for any direction! ~Charlie
The right path to get support for CAXL is to go to the Cisco Developer Network (CDN), then click on Develop with Jabber, Develop and Test, Get Started - Hosted Deployment. At the top, there's a link for community support and to contact the CDN team, which has escalation paths that... end back up with me. :)
You just need an account on WebEx Connect to move forward.

Register domain with Google Apps remotely

Is there any way to register for Google Apps remotely (i.e. with an API), if I already own the domain and can manage DNS?
Yes if you are an ISP or large enough. Given that you're asking here, instead of talking to your Google Enterprise rep, chances are this is a "no".

How to access remote connection requests from safari, facebook and other applications on iPhone

I noticed one application on app store recently named onavo which access internet connection usage from other applications on iPhone like safari, facebook, youtube, etc. Is there any API available for this. How they have implemented it. Curious to know about it.
I've found the answer on Quora. As follow:
http://www.quora.com/How-is-Onavo-able-to-direct-all-the-data-traffic-to-their-proxy-without-using-iOS-private-APIs
Roi Tiger, CTO of Onavo
Hi, I'm the CTO of Onavo, thank you for checking out our service. After installing Onavo you are prompted to install a configuration profile which allows the data to be redirected through Onavo's servers using a proxy server settings.
Configuration profile installation does not require any private API access in the iOS platform.
Another answer:
http://www.quora.com/How-does-Onavo-manage-to-compress-data-traffic
They're not monitoring the apps’ data usage on the phone itself. It looks like Onavo sets up a proxy on the phone (probably via a configuration profile) so that your data traffic goes through their servers, so monitoring which sites that traffic is going through is trivial on their end. From their privacy policy (emphasis mine):
Onavo provides services for reducing data usage of certain mobile phones. To benefit from the Services, your access to the Internet through your mobile phone will be routed through Onavo's servers, which strive to reduce the volume of your downloads, and potentially your uploads as well.

Open source advertising network app/framework/cms

I'm tired of advertising networks (except some good) who ban me even not my fault. I now maybe will run out of money to pay the server cost. So I'm going to build my own advertising network.
Im looking for good open source advertising network app/framework/cms in any language, no matter they function for CPM or CPC.
I've found some in Github, but I dont have experience with it.
I want to make my own "Adsense". something like that where people can register, login and manage their own ads.
have a look at openX
