I have created a rule that makes a field mandatory if the area ID is 12. However, the rule doesn't work. Nothing happens. If I change the condition to another case (e.g. status of a work item), it works.
My Rule:
What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help?
API Request:
From above API request, i can see you were trying to create the rule for the root area path.
I tested and found the rule doesnot work if the the Area ID is set to id of the Root Area Path.
If you intend to set the rule for the root area path of your project. You can change the
rule Conditions to Team Project = Team Project Name as workaround. See below:
If you have child area paths under the root area path and intend to create rules for the children area path. You need to get the area id of the child area path. And set the rule Conditions to Area ID = ID of ChildrenAeaPath.(Rule for children area path works perfectly).
See below Api request to get the children area path id.
GET https://dev.azure.com/{organization}/{project}/_apis/wit/classificationnodes/{structureGroup}?$depth={$depth}&api-version=5.1
Are you by any chance trying to modify an existing rule - have you tried creating a brand new rule? I had this issue when I was trying to modify an existing rule that was disabled earlier. Even though the rule was enabled back, nothing would happen when the work item was modified.
After I created a new rule with the same condition as yours, it worked for me.

I am attempting to remove all references of a managed package that is going to be uninstalled that spans throughout code base in VS Code
I have using a query to find the field permissions but am wondering if there is a way to search for the reference outside of specifying the exact field name compared to the field containing only "agf" since they are all using it.
Below is the search query:
<fieldPermissions>
<editable>false</editable>
<field>User.agf_Certified_Product_Owner__c</field>
<readable>false</readable>
</fieldPermissions>
In the field, I want to be able to find and delete the 5 associated lines from multiple files if they match "agf" in any combination. Something like the below:
<fieldPermissions>
<editable>false</editable>
<field>agf</field>
<readable>false</readable>
</fieldPermissions>
With any combination of agf in the field, delete all from any file it appears in.
Not an answer but too long for a comment
You don't have to? Profiles/perm sets don't block package's delete. Probably neither do reports.
You'd use your time better by searching for all instances of agf__ (that's with double underscore), should find fields, objects... used in classes, flows, page layouts etc. And search for agf. (with dot) should find all instances where your Apex code calls their classes marked as global.
Alternatively Apex / VF pages with dependencies on package will have it listed in their "meta.xml", for example
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ApexClass xmlns="http://soap.sforce.com/2006/04/metadata">
<apiVersion>54.0</apiVersion>
<packageVersions>
<majorNumber>236</majorNumber>
<minorNumber>1</minorNumber>
<namespace>SBQQ</namespace>
</packageVersions>
<status>Active</status>
</ApexClass>
Last but not least - why not just spawn a dev sandbox and attempt the delete there? If it succeeds - great. If not - it'll list the dependencies that blocked the delete. It'll be "the real thing", it'll smite you even if your VSCode project doesn't contain all flows, layouts and thus could lull you into false sense of security. I'd seriously do it in sandbox and then run all tests for good measure, just in case there are some dynamic soql queries that don't count as hard, delete-blocking references.
After delete's done - fetch Profiles / Permsets from this org and the field references will be gone from the xml.
So I am working on constructing a mask for a CAN unpack system. It's a basic mask with 2 promoted parameters and a browse button. The promoted parameters are the "CANdb" file field and the drop down menu, "MsgList", that follows it.
The basic mask it self works. I'm able to browse for a CAN ".dbc" file and its path is available in the promoted field, and even the drop down menu works where I'm able to select a message from those available in the ".dbc" file. But this is about all the functionality I'm getting.
My observation was that this problem is in 2 different parts. I'll try to explain them individually.
The first is with the "CANdb" promoted parameter. While on the outside it appears as though the parameter is changing (it changes in the mask), internally nothing changes: when i peak under the mask, there is no change on the values of the CANUnpack Block that i am using. Then CANUnpack block itself does update when I double click to open it. The new DBC and message list shows up but only on the block.
The second issue was with The list of messages, that is also promoted to the mask is also not updating. The list from the previous DBC file remains there, and does not change even if i run the simulation, update the model or refresh the block. When i close and reopen the model, it updates then.
These observations lead me to believe that i need to add some kind of code to update the mask, but i don not know what this code will be. I though that the issue may have to do with the fact that the value needs to propagate from the mask to the block and then updated all the parameters so maybe that prevents or hinders an update.
For this i then removed the promoted parameter for the DCB file and linked the browse button directly to the block parameter. The only difference this made is that the name of the new DBC file shows up on the CAN unpack block. Nothing else changes. Not even the messages of the "MsgList" till I double click to open the block. And as usual, the message list on the mask remains unchanged.
I am adding some images and the code for my browse button below to aid with trouble shooting. Thanks in advance.
pp = Simulink.Mask.get('NXP_CAN_Unpack/Subsystem/CANUnpack2');
p = pp.getParameter("CANdbFile");
[fName,pName] = uigetfile("*.dbc");
p.Value = [pName,fName] ;

I would like to map pages such domain/content/myProject/home.html to domain/home.html. /content/myProject/ is not needed. I have the following code:
String newpath = getResourceResolver().map(page.getPath());
this does not change anything. newpath is stay page.getPath()
how to solve this issue?
Answering as this question as it remains unanswered. Here is an example of how the etc mappings should look like:
Trick is you add 2 entries to sling:internalRedirect as / and /content/example/
AEM first tries to resolve resources with first entry '/'. So non page URLs like /etc/designs, /content/dam etc will be addressed by the first entry. If it is unable to resolve using the first one, it uses the second entry to resolve the page.
This is also the adobe recommended way for URL shortening compared to other techniques like apache redirect.
You need to create map in etc.Then Resource Resolver will take care of trimming the path .
CREATING MAPPING DEFINITIONS IN AEM
In a standard installation of AEM you can find the folder:
/etc/map/http
This is the structure used when defining mappings for the HTTP protocol. Other folders (sling:Folder) can be created under /etc/map for any other protocols that you want to map.
Configuring an Internal Redirect to /content
To create the mapping that prefixes any request to http://localhost:4503/ with /content:
Using CRXDE navigate to /etc/map/http.
Create a new node:
Type sling:Mapping
This node type is intended for such mappings, though its use is not mandatory.
Name localhost_any
Click Save All.
Add the following properties to this node:
Name sling:match
Type String
Value localhost.4503/
Name sling:internalRedirect
Type String
Value /content/
Click Save All.
This will handle a request such as:
localhost:4503/geometrixx/en/products.html
as if:
localhost:4503/content/geometrixx/en/products.html
had been requested.

I am attempting to deploy my SSRS solution. I have set the "TargetReportFolder" property of my project to "Reports"
When I right-click and select "Deploy", I get the following error:
The path of the item '/Reports' is not valid. The full path must be less than 260 characters long; other restrictions apply. If the report server is in native mode, the path must start with slash.
Obviously my path is less than 260 characters long. I've tried setting my TargetReportFolder property to "/Reports", to the name of my project, and to the name of my project with a slash at the beginning - all give the same error.
I don't understand this deployment process very well. Can someone help me understand?
(I also feel like this may not be on topic, but was encouraged by the presence of an SSRS tag)
My problem was that I didn't understand how Reporting Services works with SharePoint. My comment above is incorrect, I did need to deploy, but I had the wrong parameters for my properties. This page helped me:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb283155.aspx
The key takeaways from this article are:
All Target*Folder properties need to be either a URL to a document library, or empty
If they are empty, they take the value of TargetReportFolder, which can't be empty and must be a URL to a document library
TargetServerURL needs to be the URL of the site collection in SharePoint
I'd like to create a dynamic view that only shows the files a user created/modified for a particular label.
Right now, I am listing all of the files in the label and comparing that with the previous label.
If I have to use cleartool to find the files, that is fine with me. I'd like the process to be more automated than it currently is.
Another option too is, can I simply see the diffs for a particular user? That way, I am more likely to understand the file's history. If a developer had attempted something one way and found that didn't work, it might be helpful to see that trial and error.
config spec:
#element * REL_2010.2.2.006
element * .../pgh_rel_4.0.0_dot_rel/{created_by(pp50773)&&lbtype(REL_2010.2.2.006)}
# first stop rule
element -directory * .../pgh_rel_4.0.0_dot_rel/{lbtype(REL_2010.2.2.006)}
# second stop rule
element -directory * main/LATEST
This config spec doesn't fetch my changes - It fetches empty directories. It is also important to note that while I made the changes to the actual file, another guy is responsible for applying the label weekly. So, if it goes by whose name is on the label, that won't work.
If I remove the created_by constraint, it works fine listing all of the changes for the label, but I want only files in that label for a given user.

According to the version selector rules, you can do that, but I would recommend:
2 dynamic views (easy to setup and refresh, since their content is not downloaded on your hard drive, but accessed through the network)
one one for one label
one for the other
to not forget to add stop rules for directories (if directories are not created by your user, they won't be selected, meaning your view won't be able to select any version within it.
The config spec for one of those view would be something like:
element * .../MyBranch/{created_by(myuser)&&lbtype(MY_LABEL)}
# first stop rule
element -directory * .../MyBranch/LATEST
# second stop rule
element -directory * main/LATEST
When you have two views correctly configured, you can compare their content with a tool like WinMerge.
