Process TYPO3 9.2 Mail Spool via Scheduler - typo3

I've just tried out the spool feature that's been integrated in TYPO3 9.2,
https://docs.typo3.org/c/typo3/cms-core/master/en-us/Changelog/9.2/Feature-76349-IntegrateSwiftMailersSpoolTransportIntoTYPO3.html
I've configured the system according to the tutorial page and everything seems to work fine when invoking the spool processing manually, but I'm wondering why there is no Task that I can just run from the Scheduler.
The amout of cronjobs I can run is limited with my hoster and I don't want to waste one on the Spooler.
Isn't there supposed to be a Task? Is something on my system just set up wrong?

I checked my TYPO3 v9.5.16, and it's there. So, when you choose "Execute console commands" for Class, you should be able to see "swiftmailer:spool:send" in the Schedulable Command list.

Running Alteryx flows from command line

I'm trying to figure out if I can launch a pre-built Alteryx workflow without launching the Designer - and without having Alteryx Server.
I came across a helpful post on Alteryx uses by #Runonthespot that, among other things, addressed running workflows from the command line, but doesn't go into detail. That discussion is here: https://stackoverflow.com/a/30469848/4313331. I don't have the rep to comment on his post and the question is closed.
He writes:
"Flows are runnable from the commandline on a server, and easiest way I've found (besides using Alteryx's own scheduler) is to save as an "App", and then run from the command line using the Alteryx engine executable, passing it parameters via xml file. You can save a sample xml parameter file from your flow by hitting the magic wand button (after saving the flow as a .yxwz (app)) This brings up a panel that lets you set the variables, and that panel has a handy "save" button which generates an xml file in the right format."
So, I'm looking for more info on this process. Is it simply a question of using Alteryx Server? Or is this a more interesting work around?
Thanks.
Yes, you can run a workflow (used generally to refer to a workflow, macro, or analytical app) without launching the Designer. You'll first need to understand how to run the workflow from the command line. The AlteryxEngineCmd.exe executable runs a workflow. It is located in the Alteryx install path in the bin subfolder. Here is where mine is located:
C:\Program Files\Alteryx\bin
It allows an additional parameter of an XML file with interface values. This is documented for analytical apps ONLY though it does work for macros as well. This is based on my extensive use of this undocumented feature.
Below are two examples:
AlteryxEngineCmd.exe MyWorkflow.yxmd
AlteryxEngineCmd.exe MyAnalyticApp.yxwz AppValues.xml
You can see a post here:
Alteryx Command Line Help
I prefer to wrap the command in a batch file and execute that for more control.
Now that you understand how to run the workflow from the command line, you can execute it anytime you want without launching Designer. Furthermore, you can use Windows Scheduler or a third-party tool to run the command or the batch file on a schedule.
Finally, you do need a license which enables API & Command Line w/ Scheduler. This is less expensive than Alteryx Server.
Have you tried C:\Program Files\Alteryx\bin\AlteryxEngineCmd.exe? It doesn't require server.
https://help.alteryx.com/2019.1/Command_Line.htm
If restrained by budget, you don't need a scheduler license (enables the AlteryxEnginecmd.exe), you can use a windows mouse clicker or even Powershell, to run the Designer though, without manual intervention.

Typo3 extension are automatically deactivated

i have a running Typo3 7.6.11 installation on my webhoster.
I noticed that the extensions "powermail" and "dynamic content elements" get somehow automatically deactivated over night.
I can activate them in the Backend via Extensions, but the next morning they are both deactivated again.
Any ideas on that?
What cron-jobs and scheduler-tasks are configured? at what time?
the next I would do is writing a cronjob, which logs every 5 minutes the md5-hash of your PackageStates.php into a file. if the file is modified the hash should change and you nearly know the time the change occurs. compare to cron-jobs/ scheduler-tasks running at that time.
Check the system log of your installation, if someone else did not login during night into your system. If no-one did, contact your webhoster, since someone has is changing your files directly on the system, so they should be able to figure out if it is some security issue or maybe some faulty backup procedures.
In the Install-Tool there is an option to do a check for broken extensions and after the check the "broken extensions" are deinstalled automatically. May be you have a task running in the scheduler that does this routine?
Normally after a system update some of the extensions are broken because they use a deprecated api and also have to be updated, so you should also check if there is an update for these extensions.
do you have an automatic deployment?
does this deployment know that these extensions needs to be active?
Please check permission of typo3conf/PackageStates.php file, Is there any cron-job that automatic deactivate extensions.
If not then try to overwrite extensions with new vesrion.

How to run scheduled Coded UI Tests on Virtual Machine without having a RDP connection

Situation in short:
Virtual Machine with Visual Studio 2013 installed. PowerShell script
runs on the VM to execute Get Latest, Build and Execute Coded UI
Tests. Windows Scheduled Task to execute PowerShell nightly.
auto-logon is enabled (or I'm doing something wrong?)
yes, I've read post Is it possible to run Coded UI tests without having to connect via remote desktop?
I've seen posts about TCM. Does this help and how can I use it in my
situation?
I made some tests in Microsoft Test Manager and I also executed and recorded them.
I've loaded these tests in a test project (and changed the script providing categories and custom checks).
I then categorized these (as Development or Acceptance).
I executed out using a PowerShell script on a VM (with Visual Studio 2013 installed) with following actions:
Get Latest
Build
Run latest build with a selected set aka category using mstest.exe
So far everything is going perfectly. All the tests pass.
However, when I create a Scheduled Task on my VM run the PowerShell script everything fails because of a missing session.
Do I have the VM (I have no knowledge of Virtual Machines) then unlock or something?
Side-Note:
I also tried to fix this with a Test Agent and Controller, but once I had installed these, all other users of TFS lost their rights, so I prefer not to do this again.
I would be very grateful if you know something that can solve this.
I spent hours on Google finding a solution for this issue, but no solution helped me.
Do I need to provide more information?
The problem you're seeming to have is that the testagent is not setup correctly. You need an active desktop session for Coded UI to be able to run (it needs it to perform all the actions such as clicks).
Microsoft has some nice info about setting up your test agent here.
But to tackle your exact problem of the test failing because of a missing session I'd suggest the following:
Run AutoLogOn.exe from the sysinternals suite (can be found at http://live.sysinternals.com/). It will automatically log in with specified user when the machine starts, and keeps the desktop session active.
Alright...I'm making progress.
I've installed test agent and controller. It's all running fine.
Next I've opened Lab Center on my own MTM to create a new environment.
Test Controller is found, but I receive the message in this post "Microsoft Test Manager cannot install test agent on these machines" when creating new Lab Center environment
File and Printer sharing exception is enabled. I don't get the other message.
I don't understand what is wrong.
Maybe I'm completely on the wrong track and it's not necessary to use the Lab Center.
Then the only remaining issue is the non-active desktop issue.

NServiceBus not creating queues automatically (MSMQ)

I'm doing the examples from the NServiceBus website (http://docs.particular.net/samples/step-by-step/) and when I run in Visual Studio everything works and the queues are created automatically (even if I delete them and re-run the solution than they get created automatically). The dev machine runs Windows 8.
I have an emulated Windows 2008 RC2 - when I take my solution bin folder to the server machine and try to run NServiceBus.Host.exe it eventually crashes and the reason is: "The queue does not exist or you do not have sufficient permissions to perform the operation" - even when I run with administrative privileges. When looking the the queue I see that they were not created, and if I manually create the queues than it works.
Why doesn't queues get created automatically when I run on a different machine?
Update
If I run NServiceBus.Host.exe /install than it creates the queues, and also installs it a s windows service. But what I would like to do is run it regularly. If I just run the exe, is it considered as self hosted?
You can run the NServiceBus.Host.Exe with NServiceBus.Integration argument, that should create your queues...

Getting WatiN.Core.Exceptions.TimeoutException while running from CruieControl

I am getting WatiN.Core.Exceptions.TimeoutException:
Timeout while Internet Explorer busy error while executing my tests via CruiseControl.Net.
Any one have idea how to resolve this?
While we are using TeamCity, we had to disable IE protected mode.
Also, check that user, under which watiN tests are being run can interact with desktop.
I know this question is old and answered, but below are some of my observations.
It is possible to run watin tests under a service account
but the following restrictions/prerequisites apply:
service must run in desktop interactive mode. Only available if running as system.
tests must not create a new windows, even alert/confirm dialogs
Ie cannot create a new window, so watin fails when looking for/expecting it to appear.
ie may show its own warnings, e.g. Insecure content in a secure Page, this can cause tests to fail*
if the tests fail/timeout and the ie instance is forcefully closed, the next instance may try to restore the previous state. The tests then appear to fail*
this can be turned off in the advanced settings.
*from what I've experienced, usually because the prompt is halting the document from being reported as loading-finished.
Feel free to add with other restrictions /comments.
