how can i Create space between two text fname and contact? - flutter

I want to create space between 'fname' and 'contact'. It is displaying in this format :- 1: Mayank , 2: 77177.
But I want to display the text in this format :-
1: Mayank,
2:77177
Widget buildResultCard(data) {
return Scaffold(
body: Container(
child: Card(
color: Colors.white,
shape: RoundedRectangleBorder(
side: BorderSide(color: Colors.purpleAccent,width: 2),
borderRadius: BorderRadius.circular(10),
),
child: Padding(
padding: const EdgeInsets.all(16.0),
child: Row(
children: <Widget>[
Container(
width:150,
height: 200,
padding: const EdgeInsets.only(top: 2.0, bottom: 5.0),
child: Row(children: <Widget>[
Image.network(data['image'],width: 150, height: 150,fit: BoxFit.cover,),
Spacer(),
]),
),
SizedBox(width: 10),
Text(data['fname'], style: new TextStyle(fontSize: 15.0,),),
// Want to display one next the other.
Text(data['contact'], style: new TextStyle(fontSize: 15.0,height: 1.5),),
],
),
),
),
),
);
}

You could use one of this two options:
Wrap your texts in a Column widget.
\n Adds an "end of line"
Example (2):
new Text(':-\n\n${data['fname']},\n\n${data['contact']}')

This might work:
return Scaffold(
body: Container(
child: Card(
color: Colors.white,
shape: RoundedRectangleBorder(
side: BorderSide(color: Colors.purpleAccent,width: 2),
borderRadius: BorderRadius.circular(10),
),
child: Padding(
padding: const EdgeInsets.all(16.0),
child: Row(
children: <Widget>[
Container(
width:150,
height: 200,
padding: const EdgeInsets.only(top: 2.0, bottom: 5.0),
child: Row(children: <Widget>[
Image.network(data['image'],width: 150, height: 150,fit: BoxFit.cover,),
Spacer(),
]),
),
SizedBox(width: 10),
Column(mainAxisSize: MainAxisSize.min,
children: <Widget>[
Text(data['fname'], style: new TextStyle(fontSize: 15.0,),),
// Want to display one next the other.
Text(data['contact'], style: new TextStyle(fontSize: 15.0,height: 1.5),),
],
),
],
),
),
),
),
);

automatic height of the container in the flutter

I wrote a page, at the top everything is fine, as it should be. And at the bottom I have a history of events. The width of my container is determined automatically (depending on the width of the screen), and the height - no, on different devices different heights (indents at the bottom are different). Is it possible to determine the height automatically (to the end of the screen) ?? Also, I'd like to add a scroll bar at the bottom for this container so that when events appear there, I can scroll through them both bottom and top. I will be grateful for your help.

You can alter the responsive height or width by using Media Query .To do that you need to wrap your Scaffold with Material App or Cupetino App which allows you to use MediaQuery .
void main() {
runApp(MaterialApp(home: MyApp()));
}
To make the list scrollable simply you can use ListView.builder
Center(
child: Container(
margin: new EdgeInsets.only(bottom: 20,right: 15,left: 15),
alignment: Alignment.center,
width: double.infinity,
height: MediaQuery.of(context).size.height/1.5,
decoration: BoxDecoration(
border: Border.all(width: 1.5),
borderRadius: BorderRadius.circular(25)),
child: new Column(
children: [
Container(
child: Text("history events",
style: TextStyle(
fontSize: 20.0, color: Colors.blueGrey)),
padding: EdgeInsets.all(2.0)),
],
),
) //Container
)
I added a little margin to make it looks better.Ofcourse you can also use MediaQuery for margin or padding if you want to.

ScrollView RenderFlex overflow - Flutter

I'm new to Flutter and have been trying to clone a screen that requires a scroll architecture.Here is the link of the screen that i'm working on. https://i.stack.imgur.com/1OW2b.pngThe code is as below.PS: Ignore the fields that are incomplete. As soon as I get the scroll view, i'll add the functionalities afterwards.
Scaffold(
body: Column(
children: <Widget>[
Padding(
padding: const EdgeInsets.fromLTRB(15.0, 40.0, 15.0, 0),
child: Column(
crossAxisAlignment: CrossAxisAlignment.start,
children: <Widget>[
Row(
mainAxisAlignment: MainAxisAlignment.spaceBetween,
crossAxisAlignment: CrossAxisAlignment.center,
children: <Widget>[
Row(
crossAxisAlignment: CrossAxisAlignment.center,
children: const <Widget>[
Icon(Icons.menu),
Image(), //Asset image
],
),
Row(
children: <Widget>[
const Icon(Icons.notifications_none),
const SizedBox(width: 27.0),
CircleAvatar(
child: Text("JM"),
),
],
)
],
),
Row(
children: const <Widget>[
Icon(Icons.arrow_back),
SizedBox(width: 20.0),
Text("Public page"),
],
),
const SizedBox(
height: 20.0,
),
const Text(" Please fill the form following the proper order."),
const SizedBox(height: 10.0),
OverviewWidget(), //Widget with lots of TextFormField
SizedBox(height: 10.0),
DescriptionWidget(), //Widget with lots of TextFormField
],
),
),
Align([enter image description here][1]
alignment: Alignment.bottomCenter,
child: GestureDetector(
onTap: () {
print("Hello");
},
child: Container(

width: double.infinity,
alignment: Alignment.center,
decoration: BoxDecoration(
color: Colors.white,

)
],
),
child: Container(

decoration: BoxDecoration(
color: Colors.green.shade400,
borderRadius: BorderRadius.circular(35),
),
child: const Padding(
padding: EdgeInsets.symmetric(
vertical: 15.0,
horizontal: 150.0,
),
child: Text(
"Save",
style: TextStyle(
color: Colors.white,
fontSize: 17,
fontWeight: FontWeight.w600),
),
),
),
),
),
),
],
),
);
So far, i've only created the Overview and Description widgets and i'm already getting RenderFlex overflow error. I tried wrapping the very first Column widget with a SingleChildScrollView widget but it can be noticed that the Save button at the bottom should stay fixed. I tried wrapping the whole widget with Stack widget instead of a Column widget but it didn't help either. I also used ListView widget but got the same results.What shall I do to achieve this view?
I guess you had all the elements but did not quite manage to use them as needed.
Your screen is composed of two important layout:
A stack (containing a button on top of a scrollable widget)
The scrollable widget
The stack has to be a stack, the scrollable can be anything but in your case SingleChildScrollView+Column seems the best choice.
Here is the concrete implementation:
Scaffold(
body: Stack(
children: <Widget>[
Padding(
padding: const EdgeInsets.fromLTRB(15.0, 40.0, 15.0, 0),
child: SingleChildScrollView(
child: Padding(
padding: const EdgeInsets.only(bottom: 100.0),
child: Column(
crossAxisAlignment: CrossAxisAlignment.start,
children: <Widget>[
Row(
mainAxisAlignment: MainAxisAlignment.spaceBetween,
crossAxisAlignment: CrossAxisAlignment.center,
children: <Widget>[
Row(
crossAxisAlignment: CrossAxisAlignment.center,
children: <Widget>[
Icon(Icons.menu),
Container(
height: 100,
width: 100,
color: Colors.redAccent,
),
//Asset image
],
),
Row(
children: <Widget>[
const Icon(Icons.notifications_none),
const SizedBox(width: 27.0),
CircleAvatar(
child: Text("JM"),
),
],
)
],
),
Row(
children: const <Widget>[
Icon(Icons.arrow_back),
SizedBox(width: 20.0),
Text("Public page"),
],
),
const SizedBox(
height: 20.0,
),
const Text(" Please fill the form following the proper order."),
const SizedBox(height: 10.0),
Container(
height: 400,
color: Colors.blueAccent,
), //Widget with lots of TextFormField
SizedBox(height: 10.0),
Container(
height: 400,
color: Colors.greenAccent,
), //Widget with lots of TextFormField
],
),
),
),
),
Align(
alignment: Alignment.bottomCenter,
child: GestureDetector(
onTap: () {
print("Hello");
},
child: Container(
height: 130.0,
width: double.infinity,
alignment: Alignment.center,
decoration: BoxDecoration(
color: Colors.white,
boxShadow: [
BoxShadow(
color: Colors.grey.shade400,
blurRadius: 10,
spreadRadius: 1,
)
],
),
child: Container(
margin: const EdgeInsets.only(top: 10.0, bottom: 30.0),
decoration: BoxDecoration(
color: Colors.green.shade400,
borderRadius: BorderRadius.circular(35),
),
child: const Padding(
padding: EdgeInsets.symmetric(
vertical: 15.0,
horizontal: 150.0,
),
child: Text(
"Save",
style: TextStyle(
color: Colors.white, fontSize: 17, fontWeight: FontWeight.w600),
),
),
),
),
),
),
],
),
)
Note that you have to put a bottom padding inside the SingleChildScrollView to take into account the button. This is fine in your case since the button has a static height. However if you need something more fancy you might want to check How to create a scroll view with fixed footer with Flutter? as #Csisanyi suggested
Consider wrapping the Column with an Expanded widget
You can also check out this flutter doc. It addresses this common issue in detail.

Scaffold(
body: SingleChildScrollView(
child: Column(
children: <Widget>[
Padding(
padding: const EdgeInsets.fromLTRB(15.0, 40.0, 15.0, 0),
child: Column(
crossAxisAlignment: CrossAxisAlignment.start,

mainAxisAlignment: MainAxisAlignment.spaceBetween,
crossAxisAlignment: CrossAxisAlignment.center,
children: <Widget>[
Row(
crossAxisAlignment: CrossAxisAlignment.center,
children: <Widget>[

// Image(), //Asset image
Image.asset(

How to align Icon with most top Text

Consider this UI:
Code:
Widget shopHeader(var shopName, var shopAddress){
return Container(
height: 200,
margin: const EdgeInsets.all(10.0),
child: Row(
mainAxisAlignment: MainAxisAlignment.start,
children: <Widget>[
Container(
padding: const EdgeInsets.all(1.0),
child: const Icon(Icons.home, color: Colors.black),
decoration: const BoxDecoration(
color: Colors.grey, // border color
shape: BoxShape.circle,
),
),
const SizedBox(
width: 10,
),
Column(
crossAxisAlignment: CrossAxisAlignment.start,
children: <Widget>[
Text(
shopName,
style: TextStyle(fontSize: 17),
),
Text(
shopAddress,
style: TextStyle(fontSize: 14, color:Colors.black38),
),
Padding(
padding: EdgeInsets.only(left:0.0, right:0.0, top:20.0, bottom:0.0),
child: SizedBox(
width: 150,
child: ElevatedButton(
child: Text('Chat'),
onPressed: () {},
))
)
],
),
],
),
);
}
The icon on the left is too low. How to set it so it's align with "Awesome Shop" text?
On the topmost Row widget use the crossAxisAllignment property to CrossAxisAllignment.start.

How to change shape of leading in ListTile in Flutter?

I want to show an image in a ListTile widget which should looks something like this.
Here is my code:
Padding(
padding: EdgeInsets.symmetric(vertical: 0.0, horizontal: 20.0),
child: Card(
color: Colors.white,
child: ListTile(
leading: Container(
child: Image.network((orientation == Orientation.portrait
? image.portrait
: image.landscape),
fit: BoxFit.cover)
),
title: Text(terms[index].title),
subtitle: Text(terms[index].videoNumber.toString() + " Videos"),
trailing: Icon(
Icons.arrow_forward_ios,
color: Colors.lightBlueAccent,
),
),
),
);
This results in below output
What should I do so the image looks spread out as above.
You can set the padding of ListTile to 0:
...
child: ListTile(
contentPadding: EdgeInsets.all(0),
leading: ...
);
But even so, you can see that the leading only take the upper half, not the entire height of the card:
...
Card(
color: Colors.blue,
child: ListTile(
contentPadding: EdgeInsets.all(0),
leading: ...
Which result in:
You can use a Stack to include both ListTile and the leading Icons but lots of things have to be hardcorded. In this case, I recommend using ClipRRect with Row:
Padding(
padding: EdgeInsets.symmetric(
vertical: 0.0, horizontal: 20.0),
child: ClipRRect(
borderRadius: BorderRadius.circular(10),
child: Container(
height: 70,
color: Colors.white,
child: Row(
children: <Widget>[
Container(
color: Colors.red,
width: 70,
height: 70,
child: Icon(Icons.cake, color: Colors.white),
),
SizedBox(width: 10),
Expanded(
child: Column(
mainAxisAlignment: MainAxisAlignment.center,
crossAxisAlignment:
CrossAxisAlignment.start,
children: <Widget>[
Text('Test Title'),
Text('Test Video',
style: TextStyle(color: Colors.grey))
],
),
),
Icon(Icons.arrow_forward_ios,
color: Colors.blue),
],
),
),
),
);
Result:
Widget buildCard(_user) {
return Padding(
padding: const EdgeInsets.all(8.0),
child: ClipRRect(
child: Card(
color: Colors.blue.shade100,
child: Row(
children: <Widget>[
Container(
margin: const EdgeInsets.all(0),
decoration: BoxDecoration(
color: Colors.blue.shade200,
shape: BoxShape.rectangle,
borderRadius:const BorderRadius.only(
topLeft: Radius.circular(4.0),
bottomLeft: Radius.circular(4.0),
),
),
width: 20,
height: 73,
),
const SizedBox(width: 10),
Expanded(
child: ListTile(
title: Text('${_user.state?.email!.substring(0, 6)}'),
subtitle: Text('${_user.state?.createdAt}'),
),
),
//const Icon(Icons.arrow_forward_ios, color: Colors.blue),
],
),
),
),
);
}

set an widget alignment in flutter

Hello everyone i want to use a bottom navigator in product details file but I have two containers inside my row widget. I want to set my first container(which is Old Price and New Price Column) at the left, and also want to set my second container(which is Add to cart btn) at the right. how can I achieve this?
Here is code:
bottomNavigationBar: Material(
elevation: 7.0,
color: Colors.white,
child: Container(
height: 60.0,
width: MediaQuery.of(context).size.width,
color: Colors.white,
child: Row(
children: <Widget>[
Padding(
padding: const EdgeInsets.only(right: 10.0),
child: Container(
height: 40.0,
width: MediaQuery.of(context).size.width - 280.0,
decoration: BoxDecoration(
color: Color(0xfff40725),
borderRadius: BorderRadius.circular(10),
),
child: Center(
child: Text(
'Add to cart',
style: TextStyle(color: Colors.white,fontSize: 20.0,fontWeight: FontWeight.bold),
),
),
),
),
Padding(
padding: const EdgeInsets.only(left:8.0),
child: Container(
child: Column(
children: <Widget>[
Text("\$${widget.prod_old_price}",textAlign: TextAlign.left,style: TextStyle(fontSize: 18.0,color: Color(0xff989898),decoration: TextDecoration.lineThrough),),
Text("\$${widget.prod_price}",style: TextStyle(fontSize: 18.0,fontWeight: FontWeight.bold)),
],
),
),
),
],
),
),
),
Try this :
bottomNavigationBar: Material(
elevation: 7.0,
color: Colors.white,
child: Container(
height: 60.0,
width: MediaQuery.of(context).size.width,
color: Colors.white,
child: Row(
mainAxisAlignment: MainAxisAlignment.spaceBetween,
children: <Widget>[
Padding(
padding: const EdgeInsets.only(right: 10.0),
child: Container(
height: 40.0,
width: MediaQuery.of(context).size.width - 280.0,
decoration: BoxDecoration(
color: Color(0xfff40725),
borderRadius: BorderRadius.circular(10),
),
child: Center(
child: Text(
'Add to cart',
style: TextStyle(color: Colors.white,fontSize: 20.0,fontWeight: FontWeight.bold),
),
),
),
),
Padding(
padding: const EdgeInsets.only(left:8.0),
child: Container(
child: Column(
children: <Widget>[
Text("\$${widget.prod_old_price}",textAlign: TextAlign.left,style: TextStyle(fontSize: 18.0,color: Color(0xff989898),decoration: TextDecoration.lineThrough),),
Text("\$${widget.prod_price}",style: TextStyle(fontSize: 18.0,fontWeight: FontWeight.bold)),
],
),
),
),
],
),
),
),
Set proper mainAxisAlignment in the Row. You can refer this
I would have set it to mainAxisAlignment: MainAxisAlignment.spaceAround
