QuickFIX/n Unsupported Message Type - quickfixn

I'm working on upgrading a VB.NET application from Quickfix.net 1.0.3 to the latest code on github (even newer than the published v1.9.0 because I need a new feature). After making the necessary changes, I'm receiving an Unsupported Message Type error from the cracker when I attempt to send in a FIX42.NewOrderSingle. I've looked through every similar issue on every forum and the issue is usually that it's not handling that particular message type, but I am handling the exact type, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I'm using the out of box specs too.
Public Sub onMessage(ByVal message As FIX42.NewOrderSingle, ByVal session As QuickFix.SessionID)
RaiseEvent Up2OMS_NewOrderSingle(message, session)
End Sub
Any ideas or is there any way I can debug the issue?

Grant Birchmeier on the QuickFix/n mailing list had the solution: post on mailing list I needed to capitalize the initial "o" in OnMessage.
Normally case-sensitivity wouldn't matter in VB, but in this case, there's
some internal C# code reflection that's literally looking for the exact
string "OnMessage".

How to disable wss4j timestamp cache

I need to update a javaEE application (still in java 1.7) that provides a SOAP web service. And I'd like to disable the TIMESTAMP_CACHE that wss4j (v2.0.2) uses to control reply attacks. It creates too many files and the OS reaches the maximum open files allowed, repeatedly. The files start to appear, one for each request that has been made and are named in the following way:
wss4j%002etimestamp%002ecache-e%0058ga%0058l%0058%004b%0057g%004ah%0050w==.data
The documentation states that the TIMESTAMP_CACHE can be changed (or so I understand):
ConfigurationConstants.ENABLE_TIMESTAMP_CACHE ("enableTimestampCache"): Whether to cache Timestamp Created Strings (these are only cached in conjunction with a message Signature). The default value is "true".
I've found many examples to change some of these ConfigurationConstants when a client application creates the Call object. See an example to change the PASSWORD_TYPE constant:
Service service = new Service();
Call call = (Call) service.createCall();
...
call.setProperty(UsernameToken.PASSWORD_TYPE, WSConstants.PASSWORD_TEXT);
call.setProperty(WSHandlerConstants.USER,"werner");
However, my application is not on the client side but on the server side and I haven't found so far the way to change the ENABLE_TIMESTAMP_CACHE constant.
Any idea?
I couldn't find a way to disable the timestamp cache. However, the wss4j behaviour described above happened to be a bug that not only resulted in lots of open files but in lots of open threads. It has already been fixed in version 2.0.9. Upgrading to the "newer" version did the trick.
You can find here the discussion in full that drove to the bug discovery and here the fix in wss4j's jira

UIATable operation GetCellValue throws error "Failed due to a lacking or broken API call inherited from UI Automation"

I am using the UI Automation add-in to automate and test an application that contains HTML objects in a Java window. I have the UIATable identified & saved in my object repository and the following methods work fine:
MsgBox UIAWindow("**").UIAObject("**").UIATable("**").RowCount 'Prints 3
MsgBox UIAWindow("**").UIAObject("**").UIATable("**").ColumnCount 'Prints 5
However, when I try to get cell value using any of the below methods:
MsgBox UIAWindow("**").UIAObject("**").UIATable("**").GetCellValue(1,1) 'Error
MsgBox UIAWindow("**").UIAObject("**").UIATable("**").GetCellData(1,1) 'Error
MsgBox UIAWindow("**").UIAObject("**").UIATable("**").GetCellName(1,1) 'Error
I get an error pop up with the following message:
The test run cannot continue due to an unrecoverable error.
<0x80070057> Failed due to a lacking or broken API call inherited from
UI Automation.
I am using UFT 14.02. What might be the possible reason for this error and is there something I can do to resolve this?
Have a look at the UFT 14 Product Availability Matrix. You want the section "UFT GUI Testing UI Automation Add-in".
JavaFX is supported but HTML is not supported by the UI Automation Framework in UFT.
That might be why some methods work and others do not. i.e. You can read the java table, but cannot validate the html content.
(I assume you are testing against a javaFX application? - you just say java)
It's worth saying that "Not Supported" doesn't mean it will not work, just that it's not been fully tested and certified by Microfocus.
Additionally, if you check the support pages it has a big note:
Note: The test objects and methods available are completely dependent on the properties and patterns implemented in your application. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the properties of your application's objects - specifically the Control Type IDs and supported patterns to understand what test objects and methods you can use.
So the error might not be you, and might not be UFT. It might be a result of the delivery of the application under test.
Things you can try...
Try the actual java add-in - it is possible to use multiple add-ins concurrently - even if it's a work around for just one object.
Try the standard windows object identifiers.
Confirm the application is built to support Microsoft's UI Automation
Update to the latest UFT (UFT 15.01 at time of writing, now also called UFT One) to make sure your libraries are as up to date as possible
If all that fails let me know. UFT is very flexible around the GUI and depending on how you need to interact with the table there are some other solutions we can try.

onvif with gsoap 2.8.62 version get error code (SOAP_EMPTY 52)

I get SOAP_EMPTY using gsoap, I have searched for a long time and had no answer,SOAP_EMPTY is newly added to gsoap,and it seems I'm the unlucky guy to meet this problem.
Here is where my code come from:https://github.com/miibotree/ONVIF/blob/master/main.c
Now soap_call___tds__GetCapabilities will return code SOAP_EMPTY,I'm now using gdb to track this problem it seems that I need to set a valid soap->id to avoid this problem,but I'm a fresh guy with onvif and don't know how to set a valid soap->id,and now I'm reading various docs about onvif and trying to solve it.
Hope any guys could help me, sinch searching so many docs makes my eyes pain and I still haven't found the answer,thanks.
SOAP_EMPTY is a validation failure. This error indicates than an element/attribute is empty but is supposed to have content. For example an integer value should not be an empty string. The old error generated by older gSOAP releases in this case was SOAP_TYPE which was less informative. In either case, validation fails. The best way to find out is to use soap_print_fault() and soap_print_fault_location()` where the latter call shows the location in XML where the problem is. Our ONVIF testing with gSOAP did not reveal such an issue.

Is it possible to provide seprate server for each user in oracle 10g?

I am getting error whenever i recompile my workflow package.
to solve this error i have to bounce the server which is used among no of users.
if it is possible to get separate server so i can bounce and test it without disturbing DBA/system admin.
Aha; it seems that you posted two questions for the same problem; this is another one.
As of your problem: Oracle says this:
ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called: "APPS.ATL_OARR_PCKG" '
in 'PLSQL' API 'ATL_OARR_PCKG.GET_CUSTOM_NOTIF'
Why wouldn't you make sure that all objects, referenced by your package, exist before you compile it? What benefit do you see in having an invalid package? You can't use it anyway, you can't test it, you can't do anything.
Therefore, having yet another server most probably won't fix that problem, because I suspect that missing package (if that's what ATL_OARR_PCKG is) won't automagically appear on the new server.

STACK_MESSAGE error thrown by NetSuite

Recently I've been getting an Error from NetSuite. We have a Custom Restlet which is receiving a JSON which is used to create Sales Order inside of NetSuite. In SandBox it worked fine so far, but in production not.
Error:
STACK_MESSAGE: java.lang.IllegalStateException: wrap should never be called unless shutter.visibleToScripts is called first.class com.netledger.app.common.scripting.nlobjError/class java.lang.Class
Can anyone help me with this?
NetSuite has this cute little thing where it throws Java exceptions when running JS. My presumption is that the JS is compiled as Java before being run, so sometimes you can get unhandelable execptions like this one (or having fixed sized arrays in JS.. crazy right!).
IllegalStateException
Signals that a method has been invoked at an illegal or inappropriate time.
http://docs.oracle.com/javame/config/cldc/ref-impl/midp2.0/jsr118/java/lang/IllegalStateException.html
What you can do is try doing some unit testing to find out what part of your code is causing the bug, then try to find a workaround as if it were Java code.
