I am trying to create a visio org chart that looks like this:
However, this is all I can get so far:
1.) Does anyone know how to get rid of the picture?
2.) Does anyone know how to add in organization abbrev boxes into my org chart, and color them, if necessary?
3.) Does anyone know how to format the text on the boxes so I can have it show up as "POSITION GRADE – LAST NAME, POSITION TITLE" instead of the default list (which is what I have right now)?
4.) Does anyone know why the ID number is only showing up as 0?

Item 1: Select all the shapes then on the Org Chart ribbon click Picture -> Delete.

So what I am trying to do is I want to fetch Heading wise data from word via docx4j and want to replace the data that is in those Headings, I do not want to change the heading text just want to remove all the things in that Heading and replace it with another. I searched everywhere for 4 days but not able to find a successful way of doing it, I can do it by fetching text line by line manually but that won't be efficient so is there any way I can directly get Heading wise data and thn can remove every child in that Heading and append another child in that same heading?
Below I have attached an image of the word document, so thing is I want to remove everything in the Heading1 i.e. "2. Functional Requirements" but I do not want to change the heading or it's heirarchy, I just want to remove everything i.e. 2.1.1 and it's subdata, 2.1, BR_1,etc and want to append data same way here as child of "2. Functional Requirements" Style - Heading1.

I have been given a Word file (.docx) that has about 35 figures and tables. When I try to add a cross-reference I get an empty list like this:
I made sure that:
1) The figures and tables are actually captions. If I delete anyone of them, the rest get updated as expected.
2) Other cross-references already in the file works. They get updated correctly like in (1)
3) The document doesn't have any 'track changes'. This is apparently a problem for some people, so I did an 'accept all changes'. Doesn't seem to help unfortunately.
4) I tried copy all and paste into a new file.
5) I tried selecting all and F9.
I'm perplexed why this is happening. Anyone can help me find the root cause?
I know that it is probably late, but maybe it will help somebody else.
Select caption below table/picture
Right click and select Toggle field codes - the caption show the code in format like SEQ xxx xxx
Go to Insert -> Reference -> Caption and click on New Label button
Insert the text following after SEQ from point 2. E.g. Fig.
Save the new label.
Go to Insert -> Reference -> Cross Reference - select the inserted value from point 4 in the Reference type dropdown list. Now you should see all the values.

In Word 2013, instead of Insert>Reference>Caption, right click on a figure or table and select insert caption. A dialogue box including the option New Label will appear.
In my case, I think this issue arose because of changes in language. The tables are all captioned with the French Tableau, but in insert references, it had Table and a blank list.
I have a rather large document with a fair ammount of images and I am facing the following problem:
All images have a caption which looks like this: Figure 3-2 Paris. When I add a figure between figure 3-1 and 3-2, I'd like to have the figure updated.
I guess because I group the figure with its caption (so moving the figure around does not mess the position of the caption up) using ctrl+A and pressing F9does not work. Neither does closing the document and reopening.
My question: Is there any way to update the captions which are inside a group, all at the same time to be sure I won't forget any?
This worked:
Make sure all captions have the same format
Select one caption (still possible when caption and figure are grouped
Goto: Start->Edit->Select choose Select Text with Similar Formatting
Hit F9
You have now updated all captions.
PS. Tested in MS word 2013.
Im creating a report based on crystal report.. I'm wondering how can i return a new line like for example im a field which is bound to a a datatable where in if the number of text reach the maximum width of the field it would carry to the next line?.
Like if i had a text that is "Representation and other incidental allowances" since it exceeds the width of my field , i want to display like below:
"Representation and other
incidental allowances"

Campagnolo_1 says you will need a formula, but I can assure you a formula is not necessary. All you need to do is place your column where you want it, give it the width you want, and right click on the field, select "Format Text", go to the tab labelled "Common" and check the box next to "Can Grow". To the right of this option, you will be able to select how many lines this field can 'grow', in other words, this is how many additional lines the field will use to display your text.
You will have to create a formula in the "Can Grow" option under "Format Field" (right-click on field). You will have to specify after how many characters you'll want the new line, so that could be tricky if your text changes.
How do you display a line above a picture in Crystal Reports? I'm currently using Crystal Reports 8.5.
I am using a jpeg image in the report, with an image header section set to “Underlay Following sections”.
I added another header above the image header section, drew the line, and then gave the option “underlay following sections”, but the line is not displaying above the picture.
How can I add a line that will display above the picture?

Insert a text object and enter nothing.
Change the size (the height matches the line width) and background (background color matches the line color).
Right click on the text object and select Move | To Front. And then the "line" will be on top of the picture.
Unforunately, using Crystal Reports 2008, this would only allow me to shrink the textbox to a certain height (0.042 inches), which was still too big for a 1-pixel line.
If I understand your question, you want to add a line to an image in Crystal Report. Unfortunately, you won't be able to do this with Crystal Reports. Your best option is simply to draw a line above the image. If there is an issue with placement of the line, add another section above the section that contains the image.
A little late response, but this CodeProject answer works. I had the same problem and this workaround did the trick. I quote the answer here.
Create 2 separate reports. The 1st report will be the main report and the 2nd will be a subreport.
Place all page headers and footers on the main report.
(Main Report)
Right click on the PageHeaderSection and insert section below.
On the new PageHeaderSection, insert the image(your watermark) and set the section to Underlay Following Sections.
(Subreport)
Go to your subreport and place your data and lines on it.
(Main Report)
Again, right click on the PageHeaderSection and insert section below.
On the new PageHeaderSection, right click, Insert->Subreport
Select Choose a Crystal Report in a project, then click the 2nd report you've created. Voila! The lines will be now on the top of the
image! Just be sure to remove the borders of your subreport.
an easy way I added a line is:
add a text box (length of the line you want)
right click -> format text
click on the tab border
select either top or bottom border, the line style etc etc
You can draw a line or a box to appear on top of images.
To do this:
1- Go to Report Options.
2- Check the option Draw Line And Box On Top, and click OK.
Now you can draw over the images.
I've never tried to do this before now, but it appears that the Z order functions (under the Move menu- to back, to front, etc...) are not available for lines or images and it appears that the image z order is always above the line even if you have multiple sections and use the "underlay following sections" option.
My answer is that this can not be done the way you are trying to do it, but what if you try another way.
EDIT:
I'm assuming that you are trying to create a strike through in the image in certain instances. Assuming that, you should be able to have 2 images (one normal and one with the line through it) that you should then be able to dynamically change based on you're criteria. You should be able to find many articles on dynamically changing the Crystal Report image. Hope this helps.
What worked for me was to create a subreport that essentially duplicates/replaces the Details. Then the usual process of putting the image in the page header and underlaying following sections. The subreport, including its lines, appear above the watermark for me, but please note I'm using Crystal XI.
If I understand your question correctly - In the header section, use the line tool to draw the line. It's in the CR Toolbox. Then drag your image after the line.
