My Spring Boot application is trying to connect to MongoDB Database. The configuration is added on application.yml file. The application was working completely fine locally till yesterday.
But when today I am running it locally on localhost, the following error I am receiving:

Need advice on what is the issue all about? As the code was working completely fine few hours before.
MongoDB has updated their server actually, might have updated their cipher.
The solution is actually change the TLS Version to 1.2 in JVM params.
One can add in Eclipse (if using it as an IDE) ->
Project -> Run As -> Run Configurations -> Arguments -> VM Arguments, add ->
-Djdk.tls.client.protocols=TLSv1.2
I could fix this issue using the solution from this other question. I changed the TLS version to 1.2 in JVM params:
-Djdk.tls.client.protocols=TLSv1.2
Other than downgrading to TLSV1.2, Upgrading your JDK fixes this too.
For JDK version 11.0.0 - 11.0.6, upgrading your JDK to a patched version.
JDK-8236039
JDK version 13.0.0 - 13.0.02, upgrading to 13.0.03 should resolve this issue
JDK-8241515
I had literally tried everything like upgrading the jdk and all but the best solution and also the working one is changing the TLS version.
Right click on the project in IDE
Run As -> Run Configurations...
And goto Arguments tab
and in VM Arguments add this
-Djdk.tls.client.protocols=TLSv1.2
Run the application now and it should work fine.
You can refer for images attached for more clarity.
enter image description here
enter image description here
I updated from JDK 11.0.7 to 11.0.10 and now it works
I had this problem and solved first adding this parameter to the JVM:
-Djdk.tls.client.protocols=TLSv1.2
But later, I changed the openjdk:12 docker image to the latest openjdk:11 (LTS) and it solved the issue without the -D parameter anymore =)
I had the same issue https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8236039 and I change my JDK to JDK-15 zulu: https://www.azul.com/downloads/zulu-community/?version=java-15-mts and it fixed the problem, I was previously using a version of Open JDK.

after running for a period of time, a similar exception will be reported, causing Kafka to crash. How to completely resolve this exception?
If you have to use kafka in windows environment. You have to disable log retention.
In Kafka server.properties
log.retention.hours=-1
log.cleaner.enable=false
# Remove any other rows start from log.retention.*
To run Kafka on Windows it's recommended to do so using WSL2 as detailed here. Otherwise you encounter the kind of problems described above.
I have a spring boot application which I have started for debug using command:

I am unable to debug. Any help is appreciated.
I have followed the Bluemix/Eclipse instructions to setup the Liberty servers in eclipse. Able to do everything with the Bluemix/eclipse tools except for remote debugging.
Receiving the following exceptions/errors when I select the "Enable Debug Mode" on my application under the servers.
Tried a longer Debug timeout but that has not helped. Any pointers?
TIA

You need to ensure that you've done the following:
Enabled & configured the debug App Management utility as indicated here (1).
Ensure that dev mode for Eclipse Tools is enabled as indicated here (2).
Enable Remote Debug in Eclipse Tools as indicate here (3).

Do you happens to be using IBM JDK to launch the workbench? There is an existing problem that we are tracking on the debug support using that combination. If you happens to be using that, can you try using an Orcale JDK 8 to see if that resolves the problem?
The issue was with the JDK in use .... replaced the ORACLE JDK 7 with ORACLE JRE 8 and that resolved the issue.

I tried running the JBoss server(Wildfly 8.1.0 Final) rolled out with jbpm 6.1 and could not get it running the jbpm-console.war, it has been very annoying, as the installation goes smoothly without any issues and no changes were made to any configurations, so I guess it should deploy normally.
This is the issue I am running into

Using the default H2 database
The error that you are experiencing is because you are trying to start wildfly without being connected to the internet or with an intermittent connection. Remember that jBPM is a community project so you guys can help with the documentation to make it better.
Try by removing the .niogit (hidden) directory that is created inside your wildfly/bin/ directory and try to start it again.
If you want to start without the demo repository, because you are offline or you cannot get online, you can do that by setting a flag that is well described in the documentation. Section: 3.6.1. Playgrounds
-Dorg.kie.demo=false
If I run play run from my scala project root, it launches normally and I can test against it.
If I run play start, it does not bind to a port and there's no log output or any other indication that anything is wrong.
$ play run
[info] Loading project definition from /Users/Daenyth/myproject/project
[info] Set current project to myproject (in build file:/Users/Daenyth/myproject/)
--- (Running the application from SBT, auto-reloading is enabled) ---
[info] play - Listening for HTTP on /0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0%0:9000
(Server started, use Ctrl+D to stop and go back to the console...)
$ play start
[info] Loading project definition from /Users/Daenyth/Localytics/myproject/project
[info] Set current project to profile-api (in build file:/Users/Daenyth/myproject/)
(Starting server. Type Ctrl+D to exit logs, the server will remain in background)
If I start the app by using the launcher generated by play dist or play stage it shows me the process ID but it does not bind the port.
I'm at a loss on how to proceed here - googling hasn't returned anything useful at all.
Edit:
After leaving it running for quite a long time (at least 10 minutes, I'm not sure), it finally put this output:
[error] c.j.b.h.AbstractConnectionHook - Failed to obtain initial connection Sleeping for 0ms and trying again. Attempts left: 0. Exception: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out.Message:Communications link failure
The last packet sent successfully to the server was 0 milliseconds ago. The driver has not received any packets from the server.
Oops, cannot start the server.

The issue here was that the mysql server that I had configured was not reachable from my local machine, and I had a mistake in my EC2 security group that prevented my deployed instance from connecting. The defaults for timeout and max retry are very high, so I didn't see it at first because it doesn't print anything if you ^C it.
Changing my network security rules solved the problem.
