Embed Marketo Web to PDF - forms

A client has asked for our design team to embed a Marketo form into a Interactive PDF.
I've advised against it as:
I don't know it's possible ( They've claimed it is )
It's a bit pointless added forms to pdf's when they have a website and app both with forms...
So anyway, even being advised against it, they are detemined that want this form embedding in the PDF.
Does anyone have any ideas? The embed code ( Client sent me - Claims this is to work in PDF's )
<script src="//pages.name.com/js/forms2/js/forms2.min.js"></script>
<form id="mktoForm_00000"></form>
<script>MktoForms2.loadForm("//pages.name.com", "000-XMS-000", 00000);</script>
Any help would be appreciated

It's not possible... at least not embedded in a PDF. The JavaScript interpreter in Acrobat and other JavaScript-capable viewers do not use the HTML object model. It uses the JavaScript core and an object model specific to PDF. However, see my comment for another option.

Domino lotus notes 8.5.3 Form does not load all the controls?

I need to show a form to the user from Lotus notes customization extension file (Forms85.nsf). For that I have created a form in Customization file i.e. in Forms85_x.nsf Extension file. The form is properly loaded with all the controls (buttons ,textboxes ,comboboxes) while I’m previewing in Domino server but, whenever I’m trying to access the form from users browser it doesn’t show the controls like button. But the controls in the forms are loading properly while I’m having the form in users own mail file i.e. someone.nsf.
When you say "buttons", are you talking about action buttons in the action menu, or buttons on the form?
The mail template is web-enabled, but you may done something on your form that won't work on the web.
What code do you have behind your buttons? Are you using Lotuscript of Formula?
Also, to be picky (but we are all developers, and it is a requirement to be precise for us), you probably mean that you previw it in Notes (using the Notes client), not Domino. Domino is the server, and the only way to view an appliaction on teh Domino server is by using a browser.
You can do really cool things in Domino web applications, with justa little bit of CSS and Javascript. I frequently use jQuery to create more advance web application, calling Lotusscript agents through Ajax to read/write/update documents in the database. Perhaps you can use that technique?
Customizing iNotes does not work like that. You found the right place to add your customization code, but unfortunately not the right way to do it. The forms in forms85_x.nsf are not supposed to be used as "normal" forms. You put html and javascript in there as plain text (no passthrough html).
Action buttons can be added by using special javascript commands, not by adding buttons in the form. Start reading here about how to do this.
Just forget about everything you know about web-development in domino (classic or xpages) and learn how to do "iNotes" as the only thing in common are the "languages" html and javascript and css

How can I program a button on an Access form to link to a browser window that looks up multiple addresses on Google Maps?

My problem is very similar to the one posted here:
http://www.utteraccess.com/forum/Plotting-Addresses-Maps-t1968130.html
except that thread never found any solutions. Basically, I'm working on an Access form that has a datasheet as a subform. Upon clicking a button on the main form I'm trying to make it so that a browser window opens up and, using the address columns from the spreadsheet data in the subform, plot all the address markers listed. I've looked up a lot of ways to attempt this but I've yet to find a way that seems to work.
I'm not even sure if it's possible to plot multiple markers on Google Maps, but according to research (and after trying it myself) it seems like it isn't, although I don't want to rule it out entirely because I'm still not 100% sure. However I know both Google Earth and batchgeo.com do allow this. I still want to try and do this on Google Maps, but if that doesn't work I want to try to do it using batchgeo.com and if that still doesn't work, then Google Earth (I don't want to make the user download external software if possible).
If it helps, from what I've read API's seem like a useful tool, though I'm not sure how to apply it to an Access form, it seems more like a way to embed to already existing websites.
I'd really appreciate if someone could help me figure out how to approach this problem!
Maybe this would help?
http://ramblings.mcpher.com/Home/excelquirks/getmaps/mapmarkers
It is Excel but should be translatable.
Here is another example, this time using Access:

...from what I've read API's seem like a useful tool, though I'm not
sure how to apply it to an Access form, it seems more like a way to

You're right. There's no way, that I'm aware of, to embed a Google Maps object in a form (like an ActiveX control). Microsoft MapPoint is a software product that lets you do Map integration by way of an ActiveX control (no need to use HTML and/or javascript).
What I usually do on a project like you're working on is I get my HTML page working the way I want it to, outside and independent of MS Access. You should be able to program and test the HTML file locally without having to use an actual web server. Just use something like NotePad++ or Sublime Text Editor 2 to write your HTML and Javascript and then open the file in your browser to see if it works. I'm quite sure you'll need to use Javascript in your HTML page to make this work. That's what the Google Maps API is all about.
After you have your webpage working, then you will have to go into Access and write code to create that web page on the fly with the address data for the current data set. You can just write it out to the Windows Temp folder and then open your browser control that that web page.
Julian Knight's answer links to more specifics on how to create the HTML page on the fly. It looks like gobble-de-gook, mostly because it is. Outputting HTML/Javascript/CSS from VBA is far less than optimal. This is why you troubleshoot it outside of Access, as much as you can.

Email Editor Similar to Campaign Monitor or Mailchimp's editor?

I looking for either an open source (or otherwise) php script/library/code that will provide me with a similar email composer that Mailchimp and Campaign Monitor have.
I've played around with lots of wysiwyg editors (eg: tinymce, ckeditor) but, they don't work very well for allowing users to compose emails.
Mosaico Editor is the first open source email template builder of this kind (AFAIK).
You can find a free to use deployment (working also as live demo) at http://mosaico.io and you can get sources at https://github.com/voidlabs/mosaico
I choose blocks from a set defined by the "master template", then you fill you contents and change their styles in a WYSIWYG style. If you're on a large window you can also have live preview for the mobile version.
The master template defines what are the blocks, what you can edit and what you can style and it contains any html trick to make it compatible with most clients: this means you can change the editor behaviour a lot by simply writing a new master template.
It is 99% javascript (IE10+, and any other modern browser) and depends on server-side functions only to do "final inlining" and "image upload/resizing"
Next generation tool for building templates without coding
Grapejs official site
GrapesJS is an open-source, multi-purpose, Web Builder Framework which combines different tools and features with the goal to help you (or users of your application) to build HTML templates without any knowledge of coding. It's a perfect solution to replace the common WYSIWYG editors, which are good for content editing but inappropriate for creating HTML structures. You can see it in action with the official demos, but using its API you're able to build your own editors.
I'm in the process of building one but as a designer it is a work in progress! I'd suggest looking at PHP template engines. They have a similar functionality. Most however will use php variables inside the html page instead of tags.
Another oprion is to check out Perch it is officially a CMS, but is really lightweight and might get the job done for you.
Hope that helps even though it is a year after you posted the question...
EDIT: Actually just stumbled across this thread which links to the new CKEditor - looks pretty cool.

Best Practice creating Forms in Wordpress

I was wondering what is the best practice for creating forms in Wordpress? As a developer I hesitate to use a plugin like CForms, but I can understand why someone would like to use it. In the end I want to know the following:
What is the best practice for creating forms in Wordpress? (Custom HTML/CSS with Javascript and PHP validation or just using a specific aspect of the Wordpress API?)
I don't use any part of the WordPress API for forms. You could automatically grab the name and e-mail address out of the cookie WordPress creates when someone leaves a comment, if you want to try to auto-populate some fields.
An easy way to handle forms is to use Page Templates. That lets you create a new PHP file for a specific page, overriding the default page template of the theme. Then you can simply have the form post to itself and this one page template handles the processing as well.
http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages#Page_Templates
A lot of what's available for WordPress in the way of addins, and what gets a lot of attention, is stuff that I find makes little use if you have programming and general web skills. Almost always they seem to (necessarily) overgeneralize a requirement with a zillion options and configuration requirements because they are first of all designed for non- or barely-programmers.
Just learn the fundamental paradigms, scratch your head and wonder why nothing is consistently abstracted and/or encapsulated, get over it, and use what you already know about php and HTML-based forms. WordPress doesn't add much in the way of either tools or constraints.
I find the Widget feature applies usefully to most everything these days, and Forms is a candidate. But that's my own WordPress viewing prism - YMMV.
What do you mean by "in Wordpress"? Do you just mean placing the form HTML in a Wordpress template? Or storing data collected in the Wordpress DB? If you just want to create a form on your site, there's nothing Wordpress-specific to worry about. I believe there's some special Wordpress data facilities you can use if you're creating a widget or plugin or whatever they're called now. But if you're not, just create the HTML, and point it at a target URL that processes the values and puts them in a DB, Wordpress or otherwise. That target URL could be a separate PHP resource, or the same page. If it's the same page, you just need to include your PHP somewhere in the main Wordpress flow.

Browser Add-On/Extension and Browser Form data

Can someone point me to an article (or discuss here) that explains how an add-on/extension can read what a user has completed in a form in a browser so you can present data to them based on the search parameters?
An example would be the Sidestep extension that opens a sidebar when a user searches on an airline/travel site and presents them a Sidestep meta search based on the parameters used on the original airline/travel site.
Browser extensions are necessarily browser specific. I would look at the APIs for your target browser. Here's a thread on Firefox 3.0 extensions.
extension to what? your body?:)
If you're talking about a browser extension, then i'm pretty sure you are on the wrong way.
You could just search for forms in the current page, and based on the field names try to figure out what did the user searched for...
A js file, and an AJAX-call is all you need, and you could basically skip the ajax call also... but i generally prefer server-side processing, as the source code is more hidden this way.
