Unlimited vertical space - flutter

Hi I'm working on a project that requires a ListView builder sadly when ever I try to put in that ListView builder this the error I get:
════════ Exception caught by rendering library ═════════════════════════════════
Vertical viewport was given unbounded height.
The relevant error-causing widget was
ListView
lib\screens\questionScreen.dart:50
════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════
════════ Exception caught by rendering library ═════════════════════════════════
RenderBox was not laid out: RenderViewport#18955 NEEDS-LAYOUT NEEDS-PAINT NEEDS-COMPOSITING-BITS-UPDATE
'package:flutter/src/rendering/box.dart':
Failed assertion: line 1940 pos 12: 'hasSize'
here is my code:
Scaffold(
body: Container(
alignment: Alignment.center,
width: MediaQuery.of(context).size.width - 20,
padding: EdgeInsets.fromLTRB(20, 120, 20, 50),
child: Column(
children: [
Text(
questions[question.getListNumber()].soru,
style: TextStyle(fontSize: 40),
),
ListView.builder(
itemCount: 1,
itemBuilder: (BuildContext context, int index) {
return ListTile(
tileColor: Colors.white,
);
},
),
],
),
));

just set shrinkWrap: true property and wrap the ListView.builder with an Expanded, it will solve everything, or if you have any fixed size for the ListView.builder wrap in a SizedBox/Container with the fixed size.

You are giving infinite space to an unbounded widget. Your ListView is inside of the Column should be wrapped with a finite space widget such as container.
Scaffold(
body: Container(
alignment: Alignment.center,
width: MediaQuery.of(context).size.width - 20,
padding: EdgeInsets.fromLTRB(20, 120, 20, 50),
child: Column(
children: [
Text(
questions[question.getListNumber()].soru,
style: TextStyle(fontSize: 40),
),
Container(
child: ListView.builder(
itemCount: 1,
itemBuilder: (BuildContext context, int index) {
return ListTile(
tileColor: Colors.white,
);
},
),
),
],
),
));

Vertical viewport was given unbounded height.
Viewports expand in the scrolling direction to fill their container. In this case, a vertical viewport was given an unlimited amount of vertical space in which to expand. This situation typically happens when a scrollable widget is nested inside another scrollable widget.
If this widget is always nested in a scrollable widget there is no need to use a viewport because there will always be enough vertical space for the children. In this case, consider using a Column instead. Otherwise, consider using the "shrinkWrap" property (or a ShrinkWrappingViewport) to size the height of the viewport to the sum of the heights of its children.
Hello everyone, this has already been applied before, everything worked, but now I'm getting an error that my list gets an unlimited height. What is the problem?
In Flowers.shoppingBasket - an array consisting of words (pieces 5 +-)
Flowers.shoppingBasket = await SharedPreferencesUtil.getData<StringList>("header");
return Scaffold(
body: Column(
mainAxisAlignment: MainAxisAlignment.center,
children: [
Center(
child: Column (
mainAxisAlignment: MainAxisAlignment.center,
children: [
Container(
width: 500,
height: 650,
child:
ListView.builder(
controller: controller,
padding: EdgeInsets.all(5),
itemCount: Flowers.shoppingBasket!.length,
itemBuilder: (context, index) {
if (index < Flowers.shoppingBasket!.length) {
return Container(
padding: EdgeInsets.all(5),
margin: EdgeInsets.all(2),
decoration: const BoxDecoration(
border: Border(bottom: BorderSide(color: Colors.black))
),

),
],
),
),
],
),
);
} else {
............
}
}
)
You missed to add shrinkwrap in listview
ListView.builder(
shrinkWrap: true,
)
Wrap your ListView.builder with Expanded widget.
Expanded(
child: ListView.builder(
padding: EdgeInsets.all(5),
I will recommend to check this video
you can wrap your Listview.builder in Expanded widget to let listview take the all space.

Incorrect use of ParentDataWidget Error Flutter

I'm trying to display grid view, but I got an error saying "Incorrect use of ParentDataWidget".
Here is my code:
body: Container {
...
child: Column {
children : [
Container {
child: GridView(
gridDelegate: SliverGridDelegateWithFixedCrossAxisCount(
crossAxisCount: 4,
),
children: [
CircleAvatar(
child: Icon(
Icons.person,
),
backgroundColor: Colors.black,
),
CircleAvatar(
child: Icon(
Icons.person,
),
backgroundColor: Colors.black,
),
CircleAvatar(
child: Icon(
Icons.person,
),
backgroundColor: Colors.black,
),
]
)
}
]
}
}
And here is the error:
Incorrect use of ParentDataWidget.
Vertical viewport was given unbounded height.

Any solutions?
On your GridView provide shrinkWrap: true,. This is also discussed Flutter Gridview in Column.
child: GridView(
shrinkWrap: true,
gridDelegate:
You used GridView inside Column that is why flutter is giving error. Try wrapping GridView with Expanded or Flexible widget
Column(
children: Expanded(
child: GridView(...)
)
)

Did you try using wrapping your Column with SingleChildScrollView widget like this?

Wrapping the Column widget with SingleChildScrollview should work.. Let me know if it worked for you..
