AIX Korn Shell - compare date in yyyyMM format - date

I'm searching for compare two date in AIX.
This is the first date in yyyyMM format:
three_months_ago=$(( $(date +%Y%m) - 3))
And I get the second date from filesystem with concatenation of folder name:

The value for $three_months_ago is 202103.
I've folder 2020 with subfolder 12, so the cycle make 202012 date dynamically.
Why ${year}${month} and ${year}"0"${month} are always greater than $three_months_ago and the if [ ${year}${month} -ge $three_months_ago ] fails?

three_months_ago=$(date --date=#$(( $(date +%s) - (3 * 30 * 24 * 3600) )) +%Y%m)
date +%s: give the current date in seconds since 01/01/1970
3 * 30 * 24 * 3600: number of seconds during 90 days
date --date=#<seconds>: calculate date from a number of seconds since 01/01/1970
+%Y%m: output format

Found my issue.
[" ${srv}" <> "RENTD" ]
there is a space being prefixed to the srv variable, between the " and the $: " ${srv}"

BASH Scripting "while loop"

Trying to create a condition based on whether the line starts with an "!".
Note: this is sh not bash

Use a case statement instead.

You can use the standard POSIX parameter substitution syntax.
${var#repl} will remove the repl from the beginning of the content of the $var variable.
So, you'll have:

So, in order to have a simple if statement to check if a variable starts with a string (! in your case), you can have:

Unable to pass variable from shell script to perl script

I have a shell script which passes the some variables to perl script, named Deploy.pl. But it seems perl script is not picking the variable. I have been trying to find out the cause but unable to resolve it. Same variables are getting passed to perl script properly except the $entname variable. Same varibale i am using for my copy statement,but as it is not getting picked up by perl script i am getting an cannot find path error. Please have a look at both shell script and perl script. I know it's insane to put such a long script,but i want to give clear idea about what is happening with the script.

You really need to start quoting your scripts propertly:
rm -rf $BUILD_ROOT/DEPLOYMENT_ARTIFACTS/common/$entname
Imagine I enter MDR_ITEM_E1 /. The command would now delete all the files on your disk.

How to find last modified file and it's timestamp no later than today?

I have a list of files named filename.${date}, for example foo.20121102 and I want to print the last modified file that has the timestamp up to today using bash toolset.
