I try to simply integrate the image picker in my Tab Page. I have a ion-button which calls the Method chooseImage() on a click.
The Problem ist, that when I start the app in the iOS Simulator, it starts normal, but when I click on the chooseImage Button it crashes in that moment. The Image Picker does not open, it crashes before, directly at the click on the button.... I don't know why. Maybe someone could help me please!

Probably you miss NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription in your Info.plist. You should add this:
<key>NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription</key>
<string>Some description</string>
Where and how add these lines?
This will be helpful if you use cordova: Add entry to iOS .plist file via Cordova config.xml

I am using Ionic version 5.4.16 and i am trying to close the app by hardware back button with a alert message for confirm to exit. I have checked a lot of tutorials for the same and everywhere i saw 2 ways to achieve that --
this.platform.exitApp();
and
navigator.app.exitapp()
and
navigator.["app"].exitapp();
But none of these option are working in Ionic 5, its not recognizing the function exitApp().
So how to achieve the same if anyone has faced the same issue do suggest, thank you.
To close the app, you must configure the following:

When using the Cameara to take a picture with destinationType: this.camera.DestinationType.FILE_URI, the resulting URL will not work to display the image. For example, when attempting to take a photo like this:
this.camera.getPicture(options).then((url) => {

Attempting to display it as <img [src]="imagePath" > will result in an error (file not found).
The problem here is that the URL is in the file:///storage... path instead of the correct one based on localhost.
In previous versions of Ionic, this would be solved by using normalizeURL. This will not work on Ionic 4 (or at least I could not make it work).
To solve this issue, you will need to use convertFileSrc():
import {WebView} from '#ionic-native/ionic-webview/ngx';
...
this.camera.getPicture(options).then((url) => {
// Load Image
this.imagePath = this.webview.convertFileSrc(url);
}, (err) => {
console.log(err);
});
Now the image URL will be in the appropriate http://localhost:8080/_file_/storage... format and will load correctly.

In my case, the following code works with me

You have to install the new Ionic Webview
RUN:

Import it in app.module and your page where you wanna use it:

This issue is really crazy and had to spend lots of time to figure out the solutions. The solutions is all the parameters in the 'options' variable are required.
Follow this:

At least I had to revert to 1.1.11 (found from NPM) to show IOS properly. For Android, latest version seemed to work.
Share did not seem to work for IOS in 1.1.11. In Android latest photo-viewer plugin it seemed to work. So now I have:

I am using phonegap 2.0.0 on iOS and using basically the stock image capture code. After the image is captured it is saved to the phone, the URI is saved to the database along with the rest of the items info and the image is displayed on the page.
All this is working on both iOS and android. The issue is that when the iOS phone is turned off and allowed to sit for a period of time (overnight) the images no longer display. The rest of the data is retrieved from the database and displayed but the images just show a black square where the image should be (indicating the info is still inn the database)
Does iOS rename images after being turned off and allowed to sit for a some time? any suggestions? if the phone is turned off and back on this does not happen.. only after the phone sits for some time...
