I am a beginner in flutter application development. And when I Run my flutter default project code on emulator, I face this issue:
Launching lib\main.dart on AOSP on IA Emulator in debug mode...
Running Gradle task 'assembleDebug'...
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
What went wrong:
Could not open settings generic class cache for settings file 'C:\Users\Administrator\StudioProjects\myapp\android\settings.gradle' (C:\Users\Administrator.gradle\caches\6.7\scripts\1fnwrr8g4rohfp291nvlxj5qe).
BUG! exception in phase 'semantic analysis' in source unit 'BuildScript' Unsupported class file major version 60
Make sure you have the JAVA_HOME in your environment variables.
Example for path:
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-16.0.2
And check that the flutter doctor is running successfully:
flutter doctor

How to fix this issue.
Upgrade to a snapshot of gradle 7.6, or wait for the 7.6 release
https://services.gradle.org/distributions-snapshots/gradle-7.6-20221021231540+0000-bin.zip
Solved this issue by opening my project in Android Studio, and it began building Gradle, then it recommended I upgrade Gradle. After the upgrade in Android Studio, I can now run my app.
Windows user:
Go to C:\Users\arpan.gradle\caches and delete all the gradle cache.
then,
Go to "C:\Program Files\Android\Android Studio" there you will see jbr and jre folder then copy the content of jbr and paste the content into jre folder.
ss:
and run flutter doctor again and run your App.
I used to have this sqflite in my pubspec.yaml file but recently I removed the dependence seeing I won't be making use of it, then I run the app on my android device and emulator I got a strange error and have googled for the solution, it seems I can't find any help and as well check stackoverflow.
What have done so far:
As a rule of thumb, i ran flutter clean to see if issue will be
resolved but it did not worked either
Invalidate and Restart Android Studio
Here is the Error am having
Launching lib/main.dart on sdk gphone x86 arm in debug mode...

Dependency of Interest
# sqflite: ^2.0.0+3
# path_provider: ^2.0.1
At this time even if I enable the dependency, the issue still persists.
However, everything is working out great on my ios simulator except android device and emulator
The issue caused by Java version 8. So you should use Java version 11.
Add this to build.gradle file (android/app/build.gradle)
compileOptions {
sourceCompatibility JavaVersion.VERSION_11
targetCompatibility JavaVersion.VERSION_11
}
Change JDK of Gradle in Android studio
Finally, Clean and rebuild.
That's it.
Issue resolved after downloading Java 11,also check the gradle and wrapper version you're using
I was encountering the same issue.I have done everything which is mentioned on stackoverflow .but the problem is in my new added package which is cached_network_image .I just remove this package and every thing start working. So you just check which new package you added and which create fuss..
I was able combat the enemy of death fighting for the progress of my code and obtain victory through the magical touch of flutter pub cache repair.
what i mean to say is that, when i ran flutter pub cache repair, Flutter was able to build and run on my android device and emulator
I am setting Flutter for the first time and I keep getting this error when trying to run the Flutter code on a Pixel 2 emulator:
Launching lib\main.dart on AOSP on IA Emulator in debug mode...
ERROR: JAVA_HOME is set to an invalid directory: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-16.0.1\jdk-16.0.1
Please set the JAVA_HOME variable in your environment to match the
location of your Java installation.
Exception: Gradle task assembleDebug failed with exit code 1
Exited (sigterm)
I tried deleting and reinstalling Android Studio and Java SDK, but it does not solve anything.
I tried setting the JAVA_HOME variable in environmental variables with the following path:
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-16.0.1\jdk-16.0.1
...but nothing, same error.
Thanks for your help
Important Notice:
My android sdk is installed on the D partition, while the Java sdk is on the C drive. Does it matter ?
Open powershell and write java --version
If you dont get the version try to add again the Java_home to path
Nevertheless, I think java home should be on C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-16.0.1\jdk-16.0.1\bin directory
I use my phone as an emulator while developing applications with Flutter.
After updating to the Flutter 2 version, Web Folder added to Flutter file directory, I know that.
but i can't run the project
Here I started the classic flutter counter app and the result:
Launching lib\main.dart on MI 5 in debug mode...
lib\main.dart:1
Exception: Gradle task assembleDebug failed with exit code -1
Exited (sigterm)
I searched for a solution on the internet but could not solve this stupid error
how can i solve this problem?
Connect to Internet
run flutter clean
then flutter pub get
then flutter run .
This might help, try it out.
This error usually comes when some files are pending download or so.
if I use flutter run command from terminal
Launching lib\main.dart on MI 5 in debug mode...
Running Gradle task 'assembleDebug'...
Running Gradle task 'assembleDebug'... Done 76,3s
Exception: Gradle task assembleDebug failed with exit code -1
I'm not sure but,
Try changing minSdkVersion from 16 to 21
You can find this property in ./android/app/build.gradle
Then do a flutter clean and run the project
If this does not work there might be issue with the emulator or the flutter version.
I'm trying to run my project , I am getting error
Launching lib/main.dart on Android SDK built for x86 in debug mode...
Running Gradle task 'assembleDebug'...
Error: Could not find or load main class org.gradle.wrapper.GradleWrapperMain
Exception: Gradle task assembleDebug failed with exit code 1
It is hard to know the problem with so little information. One general approach with worked to me was performing:
flutter clean
Try to run.
If it does not run delete the jar file under android/gradle/properties to recompile it and try again.
