How to add page break between file documents in master document libreoffice writer? - libreoffice

I have created master document in libreoffice and added some subdocuments (odt) and I need to put page break between them. Every new document needs to start with new page. I have found some answers on forum but there are not very clear. Thanks in advance!
Before this I used different page style, so I used manual break to use different page style for rest of document. I need to remove this enter tag, if I delete it, it deletes a manual page break.
I need to add page break.

I got this answer at ask.libreoffice.org and I think it is worth of share.
If your sub-documents represent chapters in your book, you have a much
more elegant solution than adding manually page breaks in the master.
I assume that your files are all styled (which is a necessity when
working with master + subs otherwise formatting becomes a nightmare)
and you assigned Heading 1 to the chapter headings.
Then customize Heading 1 in the master to add a page break (before) in
the Text Flow tab properties.
An even better approach is to share all styles between master and subs
with a personal template. Master and subs should be based on this
template. A template brings in the possibility to automatically update
formatting of all documents: change the style definition in the
template; next time you open a document, you’re asked if you accept
the update.

Endnotes in MS Word on specific page, modify heading styles to not create new section

I am writing an instruction manual with many endnotes and footnotes. I want the endnotes to be on a specific page, specifically after the references, say they are on page x.
The document is split into many sections using the different styles available in word.
If I choose the endnotes should be at the end of the document, then I cannot put any text after them, which I would like to do.
If I choose the endnotes should be at the end of the section, then each new heading style starts a new section, so the endnotes are smack in the middle of the page.
Is there a way to create an endnote and make it appear immediately after a specific section, say my References?
If a potential solution involves macros, I have no experience writing them, so I'll need to know how to create and insert them if that is the case.
Thanks.
P.S. There is no endnotes tag so I used footnotes.

How can i edit an existing Typo3 Extension (Backend Configuration Page)?

i want to edit an existing Typo3 Backend configuration page.
I want to edit a configuration page like this here:
Where can i edit the extensions backend?
To be more clear: where can i change the edit page that an editor can use to change content.
Can someone give me a hint to the right directory or file in generall?
I'm using Typo3-7.6
Thanks
Sorry, can't manage to put all questions in an unformatted comment.
there are a lot of questions, as you are not clear what you want. Maybe that is a problem of the correct words, the vocabluary, but in TYPO3 we have some fix terms for specific object. And I think you do not handle these terms according to the TYPO3 community.
let's define some terms:
first the concept of TYPO3:
all data is stored in record of differnt database tables. All records are organized with some fields and teh main field is uid, the unique ID.
the main table is pages according to the folders of your disk. those folders can contain other records (like files). (nearly) each record in TYPO3 has a relation to a pagesrecord ina field named pid. even pagesrecords have this field and so they build a tree of pages and subpages.
There is one special page, which is no real page: the page with the ' uid' zero. As there is no real pagesrecord with the uidzero, there are other records with are stored in that page by having a pid zero. for example the start of your page tree is anchored in page zero, or global records like languages, user, storages.
Aside of being the anchor to other records, the pagesrecords have information themself. (page name, kind of page, a teaser image, SEO-information, visibility, accessibility, ...)
your screenshot looks like a content record (normaly in the table tt_content), in the lower right corner there you can see the table name and the uidthe the currently edited record.
'Backend': with backend we name the view to the data where an editor can change the content of the website. The real website is the frontend. This can be seen by everyone without the need to login in the backend (you might have access-restriccted areas of your website which need a login, but that still is 'frontend' as there is no option to edit content.
in the backend the editor might be restricted what he can access and what he can modify. An adminuser has no restriction (up until version 9 where the role of a maintainer occured to manage more general and basic options)
so we have not a single 'backend configuration page' but multiple places where we could configure special aspects of the website.
also there is no special 'extension backend'. we have global extension configuration and records belonging to an extension. (And an extension can enhance existing records with additional fields.)
Please be more specific what you want to change

Content merging AEM

We're looking for a solution on how to best deal with the situation where multiple authors are working on the same page. If the first author pushes in the content, the second should have a way to merge it when he tries to publish. Launches appears to be a way to take care of this but it doesn't seem to be handling content merging. Is there any way an author can view the diff(and or do merge) of the content that might have been pushed by another author while they were working concurrently ?
Please help with any pointers.
Page modifications happen in real time to the underlying structure. They also happen at as small a level as possible.i.e. If you go into a text area and modify the text there, the text node is changed on the server, you aren't saving the entire page.
The only way that person A could interfere with what person B is doing is if they were working on the exact same area of the page. Which, honestly is a process issue. I say this because the answer to your question is that there is nothing out of the box to handle this type of scenario and if you are on 6.0 or higher and looking at the JCR3. JCR3 handles this far worse than the older version did. Last time I checked it didn't support nodes at all
Adding to what Bailey said, AEM OOB allow multiple users to edit same page in real time, though if multiple users are working on same node will be a reason of conflict. Such cases can be managed by defining a process like:
1. Take a lock of page and edit page or
2. Create versions of page and publish versions

CQ5: links/paths in properties aren't updated on page rollout

When I create a live copy of a blueprint website, and rollout pages using standard rollout config, links in the pages are updated to reflect the live copy version.
ex. /content/myblueprintwebsite/home.html -> /content/mylivecopywebsite/home.html
But when those paths are buried inside properties of the page content nodes, they are not updated, and still points to the blueprint pages.
... is this the intended behavior? If so I guess I would have to write my own rollout config? Or is there another solution to this problem?
Thanks for your answers.
As per: https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/administer/sites/msm/msm-livecopy.html
"
When the blueprint source contains links and references that target a paragraph in a different chapter, the targets are not updated in the live copy pages. For example, a live copy is created from the Geometrixx Demo Site blueprint. Links in the Toolbar chapter that target the Services chapter are not updated in the live copy, and continue to target the original pages in the Geometrixx Demo Site.
"
My interpretation of the above:
- If the link to the target is created on a page that is in the ancestral line, the change will reflect in live copies.
I tested this by configuring a link to bp/en/parent/child-page on the bp/en/parent page and also on the bp/en page.
In both cases, the corresponding live-copy/... pages reflect changed paths to the live copy specific child page.
Moreover, the change is happening for links no matter what widget is used - OotB List, a customized link widget, or hyperlink configured in the text widget.
Further question:
Editors may want to create links from pages that is not in the ancestor line. What then? Is there a configuration that can be set to allow the change to happen ? Or are we required to write custom rollout action?
When ever a page rollout is done it updates all the individual content references for ex:
paths in property nodes, if it is stored individually i.e., not concatenated with any other text like: hello /content/test/master/en.
It doesnt update if the path is in the mid of other text.
And
Creating custom roll out doesn't server your purpose. If u really want to create custom roll out to meet this requirement then you have to create following custom live actions and write logic to find paths and then modify them.
1.ContentCopyActionFactoryCustom
2.ContentDeleteActionFactoryCustom
3.ContentUpdateActionFactoryCustom
Creating custom roll out is a risky option as roll out is called from many places like while creating live copy, from blue print section , roll outing a page and its sub pages and background execution etc.,We have to handle any exception caused in this explicitly. If u start changing one file then u end up changing all related files has roll out implementation on many java classes.
Ideal Solution : Save all the paths in a individual property and AEM will take care of updating there references
Cheers !!

Repeatable data content in umbraco

I am just wondering is there any plugin to create dynamic content for a page i.e something similar to a data repeaters in .net. To make it simple it should be a section that should contains 5 to 6 fields/property like
heading
heading 2
image
content - rich text editor
info
This must be in repeatable control so that the editor can add any number of these section a page and all these should be displayed in a single page.
Is there a plugin for the above functionality or what is the best way to achieve this.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Aneesh
You can achieve this without any plugins.
Create your repeatable section (containing the relevant fields) as a document type, and then use the multi-node picker in another document type to select one or many of the sections.
So for example, I could have a FAQs page (which uses a document type called "FAQs Page"), and I want to be able to add multiple question and answers to this page. I could set up a document type called "Question". This will contain two fields: Question and Answer.
On the "FAQs Page" document type, I would add a multi-node picker field called "Questions". This way, an author could select multiple "Question" nodes to appear on the FAQs page.
You would obviously need the code to output this, and also you would create a data type that inherited from multi-node picker, so that you could limit the selection to only Question nodes.
There is also the Repeatable Custom Content datatype which works well but does not support all data types. But it does support all the ones you need for your stated purpose (textstring, media picker, richtext area, etc).
You can find it here: http://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/repeatable-custom-content I've used it a few times and it works really well in certain situations (e.g. where the items will not be shared across different pages of your site).
If you are sharing content components across multiple pages then #Digbyswift's solution is perfect.
I've always Digbyswifts method, but whilst looking for an alternate solution tonight I found this plugin, which is excellent for those situations where creating lots of widget nodes feels like overkill. It's licensed but the free older version is also available.
