I am facing an issue in Polymorphic relations where I can not make whereHas to work. The relation code is working fine to return the related models, but need to apply where conditions to the relations of the models connected with the polymorphic relations?
My polymorphic relation is morph mapped by two models. eg: Events and Meetings both models have their own relations to store their assignees (Belongs to many) I need to apply where condition to assignees relation to fetch the required data, In my polymorphic relation, I got the data with assignees but not with the condition applied.

categories
id, title
products
id, name
categories_products
id, category_id, product_id
I have also setup the according models and relationships (both have belongsToMany of the other)
Now I want to get all products belonging to a category
Category::where('title','Electronics')->first()->products()->limit(10)->get(['products.name']);
which works fine, but I also want to include the category title for each product as well:
Category::where('title','Electronics')->first()->products()->limit(10)->get(['products.name','category.title']);
However it returns: Column not found category.title
I thought that the relation would take care of it.

The reason you're getting the error is because get() works just like select() and because you're running the category query and then running the product query after there is no categories table to reference for the select.
Look into Eager Loading. It will help with a lot of these kinds of issues. Your query can be written as:
Product::select('id', 'name')
->with(['categories' => function($query) {
return $query->select('id', 'title');
}])
->whereHas('categories', function($query) {
return $query->where('title', 'Electronics');
})
->limit(10)
->get();
Because we are lazy loading you NEED the id column on each model so Laravel knows where to attach the relationships after the queries are run.
The with() method above will eager load the categories relationship and the whereHas() method puts a relationship constraint on the current query.

Similar query from Category model:

->with(['products' => function($query) {

I got an extension in which i want to include some filters, i know figured out that i can filter the results that are shown of my listAction() by using findBy.
I tested it and it worked like this:
$cars = $this->carRepository->findByCarid("1");
$this->view->assign('cars', $cars);
My problem now is i need to filter the result with more than one Parameter, what if i want to add findByColor("blue") so it gives me all cars wit hid 1 and color blue? What solution does extbase have for that kind of search queries? i can`t find anything good or understandable in the documentation.
You have to extend you repository and code this functionality on your own. Extbase offers you a simple but powerful API to do so.

This is a quite simple approach to your problem. In a real world scenario I would probably use an array of filter criteria to do the filtering like array('carId' => 1, 'color' => 'blue'). Inside of findByFilter() those values would be extracted and added to the query.
The key is to build the desired query. A quite comprehensive explanation of how to do that can be found at http://blog.typoplanet.de/2010/01/27/the-repository-and-query-object-of-extbase/. Unfortunately it's not completely up to date but the part about constructing queries is still valid.
Im trying to select only specific attributes on the many-to-many relation users, just like in one-to-one. But using select() on belongsToMany() seem to be ignored and i'm still getting all the User attributes.

Yes, you actually can.
Computer::with("users")->get(array('column_name1','column_name2',...));
Be careful though if you have the same column name for both tables linked by your pivot table. In this case, you need to specify the table name in dot notation, tableName.columnName. For example if both users and computer has a column name id, you need to do :
Computer::with("users")->get(array('users.id','column_name2',...));

I implemented inheritance with a discriminator field so all my records are in the same table. My basetype is Person (also the name of the table) and Driver and Passenger inherit from it. I receive instances of the correct type (Driver and Passenger) when I perform a query on the object context to Person. example:
var q = from d in ctx.Person
select d;
But I also create a function that calls a stored procedure and mapped the output of the function to the type Person. But now I get a list of Person and not Drivers or Passengers when I execute this method.
Anybody an idea how to solve this or is this a bug in EF4?
AFAIK, you can't use discriminator mapping (e.g TPH) when dealing with stored procedure mappings.
The stored procedure must be mapped to a complex type or custom entity (e.g POCO), the mapping cannot be conditional.
What you could do is map it to a regular POCO, but then project that result set into the relevant derived type (manual discrimination).
E.g:

If your always expecting a collection of one type (e.g only Drivers), then you wouldn't need the foreach loop, you could just add the range. The above is in case you are expecting a mixed bag of different people types.
Would be interested to see other answers, and if there is a better way though - but the above should work.
I have a handful of DBIx::Class::Core objects that model various database tables.
For some of those models (those that have a 'queue' column), I have another class inject subs (basically, to 'move' the model object along it's queue states).
I'd like to also have that class inject has_many relationships ala
class($name)->has_many('queue_history','MySchema::Result::QueueHistory',
{ 'foreign.record_id'=>'self.id' },
{ where => { type => $name }} );
but I can't seem to get the relationships to register properly (keep getting "No Such Relationship" errors - however, when calling the relationship method on the sources provides back the relationship).
Any clues as to what's wrong?
After some digging around, the following works:

$schema->unregister_source($name);
$schema->register_class($name,$class);
The key being the unregister/register methods in order to generate all the appropriate other methods that get added by having a new has_many relationship.
