Lost progress on Google Digital Garage Course - certificate

If you have lost your progress on Google Digital Garage Course when you re-connect and there is no course started or registered and all the progress seems to be lost.

It might be because of the language/country of the page.
Be sure to check on the bottom right of the page if the country you've started course with is the same.
At least that's how I solved this issue.

Why does test suite for smart home run out of time

With regards to the test suite, I've entered the userAgentId and the json key correctly and it progresses fine. It's when I start the test where the problem arises. Each utterance is read out to my Google Home. The Google Home wakes up to the "Ok Google. Turn off the colorful light ". The colorful light are off and reported the close status to the home graph. I link to the reportstate dashboard to confirm quickly that the status has been modified. After I waited a long time and finally got a timeout error. I don't know why and what else I need to do? I have two screenshots here. One is the request timeout and the other is the reportstatus dashboard.

Timeouts with the test suite can be due to the following reason:
--The execution or query responses might be failing, or taking too much time.
--Report State implementation might be faulty.
The report state dashboard is an old tool that is not maintained anymore, hence the changes you see there might not represent what’s written to the homegraph accurately. Instead, can you try out using the HomeGraph Viewer.

Flutter app: simple way to remember a user to do something

I have a cool flutter app which is used to track staff attendance. A user can check-in and check out when they start/stop working and the app record that event, calculate the number of hours worked and send a weekly summary to the manager of the staff expected wages. The current problem is that some staff members forget to check out (everyone is ok with check-in) so we don’t have good numbers and we need to manually change the attendance. I would like to add something to remember them to check out, and I am looking for creative ideas to do so. My objective is to make something very affordable.
So far I thought about two options:
to use geolocation and track when staff get in/out of a certain location and log it as check-in and check out
to set a timer when they start the shift and send a local notification if after xx hours they have not done the checkout
Geolocation seems to be the best because I can even automate the checkin/check out and do it in the backend but it will consme lots of resources in the client because I would need to check their location every while even when their at at home or on holiday...
The timer has some limits and still, I would need to manage background tasks that are complex as well as imprecise checkout depengin on when the notification goes out.
Do you have any suggestions on anything simple to implement?
I would suggest the second option.
A simple scheduler which would look for all the employees who are checked in for more than x number of hours and then throw a clickable notification to checkout. It would be an easy and clean solution. However, it has several limitations as an employee might leave early but checkout later.
In my opinion, Your most clean solution would be to have an RFID/NFC check which automatically registers as a user checks out from the building.
Another thing that can be done if your employees are working mostly on their computers. There can be a browser extension or a web app which will clock in the time they are working on their laptops. Once they close it they will be automatically checked out.

Authentication Fail with MongoDB Compass Community

I've just created a new MongoDB account and I'm now trying to connect the free cluster I created via MongoDB Compass Community application but I'm getting a 'Authentication Fail' error being displayed.
This is what I've checked so far:
From my MongoDB Clusters section when I clicked on the Connect (…) button which then gives you various options. From there, I selected 'Connect with MongoDB Compass' and copied the connection string.
This was detected as expected by the Compass and the information was filled automatically in all the relevant fields and I also filled the password by copy/pasting it into the relevant field. 100% sure it is correct.
I checked that the username used was indeed set up as an admin and it is.
I checked my Authentication database was correct and it is.
I've checked that my public IP was added to the whitelist and it is. The only thing I've noticed is that when I added my public IP address, it added a /32 at the end. Is that the port?
But I'm not quite sure what else to test for to resolve this problem.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
I eventually found out what the problem was after speaking to someone from MongoDB support Team!
Everything was done correctly except for one thing. I was being impatient after changing my Cluster User's password. It can take up to 2 minutes for the system to be updated and therefore to allow Compass to access it.
Once I waited a couple of minutes, I was able to login as expected in Compass.
I still can't quite believe I wasted so much time on such a simple issue but the main thing is that it is resolved.
I did send them some feedback as a lot of things could have been done a lot better:
Highlight it better in their documentation i.e. red??
Make the "warning" message displayed on the webpage after updating the user details more obvious. It was right in my face and never spotted it appear or disappear as once I'd update the user detail on the website, I'd swap immediately to Compass to try to login. By the time, I'd be done, well over 2 minutes would elapsed and the message would be long gone, so not very useful the way it is currently done.
Instead of just saying: 'Authentication Fail', which is correct, the message could read differently when it knows the user is being updated i.e. 'Authentication Fail - Please try again in a few minutes as we're updating this user's details'... Something like this anyway.
So, remember to be patient when changing your user's details in MongoDB and if you are, then yes, you will have a database up and running in the cloud in 5 minutes or less! :)

Google Adsense revenue slowing

I don't know where to ask this, so I'm going to just ask it here and handle the backlash when ever it comes.
First let me state that I'm familiar with the recent issues relating to Pepsi and YouTube how ever what I am currently unsure of is, does this effect website publishers also, or has my traffic just all around stopped converting?
I'm currently getting around 300,000 impressions per day and my revenue has dropped to as low as 0.19cpc when before it was sitting almost around a dollar for every registered click.
Question basically comes down to, are you guys getting effected by this also? What can I do in the mean time if this is in correlation with the advertisers opting out, because it's getting really hard to manage servers with no revenue.
Yes it seems to have had a drastic impact on my earnings as well, although I'm not doing anywhere close to the impressions you're doing.
My cpc and rpm have hit an all time low and its disastrous. I'm seeing the same cpc as you btw, we're not alone other publishers are complaining about the same issue.
I'm considering dropping a few adsense units till i see some better figures.

paypal-apps.com is not working?

Maybe someone knows what the cause of the error? I am trying to come and continue the activation of your NVP / SOAP API Apps, but the server responds with an error. Someone knows what's going on?enter image description here
UPDATE: It looks like over the weekend the app services went back online, so all should be fixed now. Let me know if you encounter any issues with it, and definitely very sorry for any issues this downtime caused you.
At the moment there are some issues at paypal-apps.com, which is affecting the site and ability to create new applications. The teams are working on the servers that are affected and will hopefully have more information soon. I'll update as soon as I have more details though.
