Grafana :: Cannot login to http://localhost:3000/login - grafana

I freshly installed Grafana and I cannot login at http://localhost:3000/login
All documentation shows that the default user/password should be admin/admin but I'm locked out.
If I go to check into the file C:\Program Files\GrafanaLabs\grafana\defaults.ini the values are set to:

If I try to retrieve the password through the e-mail I receive no e-mail.
What am I doing wrong?

The problem come from the grafana.db file. This is where your password is stored.
In your local machine, install the sqlite3 package
sudo apt-get install sqlite3
Login into your sql database
sudo sqlite3 /var/lib/grafana/grafana.db
Reset the admin password using SQL update (the new password will be admin)
sqlite> update user set password = '59acf18b94d7eb0694c61e60ce44c110c7a683ac6a8f09580d626f90f4a242000746579358d77dd9e570e83fa24faa88a8a6', salt = 'F3FAxVm33R' where login = 'admin';
sqlite> .exit
Now, you could log in your Grafana web interface using username: admin and password: admin

Why is the login with admin:admin despite the configuration not working?
One possibility here is that you had Grafana installed previously (and when using it with the admin account already had to change the default password set in the config). In that case, you did not freshly install Grafana but instead upgraded it. That preserves the database including users and passwords, therefore you will have to use the password you set for that account.
Why are you not getting a reset password email?
I can think of two possibilities here: One is that Email is not configured in the Grafana config file and therefore no emails can be sent. The second one is that you did not set the email address for the account in question (afaik defaults to "admin#localhost") and therefore you don't get any emails. Of course it is possible that both is the case.
How can you solve this?
By either resetting the admin password (that will allow you to keep your existing data) or by removing Grafana and all files completely and making a fresh install.

PG Admin 4 (WEB) and inititail logon as user postgress without password

I have a fresh install of a database on AWS. I have installed PG Admin 4 for Web and set up for a user login. This works.
I find it is not possible to connect to the localhost database using 'postgres' as a user, without a password. This appears to be enforced by the dialog. Is there a way around this enforcement? How would a user only having web access ALTER this ROLE? I would expect this to be relaxed for the initial login.
The database is local to the webserver and the web server is remote for the user.
TL:DR This logon is not a peer logon as the postgres *nix user.
It's a gap in the install. A manual step will always be required to add a password for postgres for anyone wanting to use the interface for initial USER/ROLE creation. It would be nice to have had this opportunity in the setup script.
I suppose it is expected that most administrators would also add other users/roles at this time and these would be supplied to the users. Changes to config files would still be managed. They are not getting shell access.

MongoDB won't install on Windows 10 (local user)

New to MongoDB and databases in general but while installing MongoDB, the docs say we should use the period for the three inputs while installing (Domain,Name and Password). I did that and got this error, i used the period in all 3 inputs as the Docs said but still can't procced, what did i do wrong?
To install MongoDB as a local user you can use details as below:
Account Domain: . ( dot is the default value )
Account Name: Your Window's local username
Account Password: Your Window's login password
Note:
Your account should be local admin account or change that account to local account.
To get your local account name, you can open
Control Panel\User Accounts\User Accounts

As per official docs, Account Name and the Account Password is from your existing local user account.
For an existing local user account, specify a period (i.e. .) for
the Account Domain and the Account Name and the Account Password for

Install mongoDB as windows service as shown in below.
If error is still you need to right click on the MSI file which you downloaded and then select troubleshoot option.
After troubleshoot, it will prompt for the option to install and then it works for me
You don't have to do much in Account domain just put dot(.) And in account name you have to put your PC or local machine name and in password field put your local machine password.
Ensure Account Domain be set to the corporate domain in case you have one.
Username will be your id
i.e. in here Control Panel\User Accounts\User Accounts if you see <username>
you should set domain name in Account Domain
Username in Account Name and your password in Account Password

Cannot connect to Tryton database

After installing the standard Tryton packages in Ubuntu 12.04, I can start the client and create a new database. But the client refuses to connect to the database. It will display the locally created databases, but will fail to add the localhost profile.
If I try to add a new profile, the client will show the installed databases, but on clicking ok will fail silently back to the start screen, without adding the new profile.
New profile setting was:
Hostname: localhost
Port: 8000
Database: [Correctly displays the list of created Dbs]
Username: [I've tried everything from tryton, admin, test to root]
I have also tried to connect directly in the Tryton client without adding a new profile, then it will always yield "Bad user or password", no matter how exact I re-enter the tryton user with his password, or any other user (admin, root) for that matter.
I have followed the procedure in the documentation (Readme.debian: adding database user in /etc/trytond.conf and so forth, have registered tryton user with postgres and in trytond.conf).
Do I need to be logged in as tryton on Remote Desktop maybe?
The client was started on the Ubuntu desktop via Remote Desktop, logged in as root.
Tried to log in as tryton, too. That will get to the desktop, but somehow not show the Terminal window. Hence I can't start the Tryton client. Terminal will blink for a second and then vanish.
When you create a dabatase from the tryton client it ask you the admin password. You must enter with the 'admin' username and with the admin password you used on the database creation step.
Once you enter the system you will see and step to create additional User. You can skip it if you want, as they can be created at any time from Administration -> Users -> Users menĂº.
You must never use the passwords entered on etc/trytond.conf as this credentials are used from the tryton server to conect to the database. User logins are managed by tryton server.

What is the default username and password for PostgreSQL?

I am working on an open source application that has PostgreSQL as its default DBMS. Now when I install it on my system, its configuration is so that PostgreSQL also gets installed with it.
My problem is with getting access to the installed PostgreSQL database. The database that gets created during installation is named iviewdb.
I read at many forums that the default superuser is postgres, but when I try to get access to the database using this username through a command prompt, it prompts me for password that I don't have.
I wanted to know from where in the PostgreSQL installation directory
the default username and password with the port number to access the database is stored. I have even tried changing the pg_hba.conf file, but that creates a problem with the application and it won't start then.
How can I find the password for this database? I am working in a Windows environment.
The password isn't stored in an easily recoverable manner, and if you change the password, the application may not be able to access the database properly. You may find the password in the application settings or documentation, though.
If you decide to risk changing the postgres user's password, stop the application and PostgreSQL service, and then edit pg_hba.conf. Add (or change if it already exists) a line (if it doesn't exist, add it before any other "host...." lines):
host all all 127.0.0.1/32 trust
And restart the PostgreSQL service. That should give you access from localhost, where you could change the postgres user's password, or add yourself another user with the permissions you want. Then set the pg_hba.conf file back the way it was and restart.
I've encountered this similar problem, and I noticed that the default being set for PostgreSQL upon installation in my case is as follows:
username = postgres
password = ' '

How can I reset the ATG Dynamo Admin password?
I need steps to reset/change the password, from the default of admin/admin.
According to Oracle's documentation, you can add Admin.Reset to your ear file which when deployed, will reset the admin password to the admin account.

Delete entry for "admin" from DAS_ACCOUNT table and restart the server. Then open dyn admin with admin/admin. It will take you to passward reset page.
You can do this ACC. In ACC click on People and Organizations->Control center users and select the name whose password you want to change.

I had similar issue. In WebLogic app server I was getting denied ATG Dyn Admin of admin/admin. I took a shot in the dark and tried my WebLogic admin console login, and this time it worked, but Dyn Admin tried to take me to a password reset page. At that time I got the error:
Make sure that you have the bin directory for your JDK in your PATH variable before starting Dynamo and that you have enough swap space.
I created below props file in ATG_HOME/localconfig, and added the one liner below:
/atg/dynamo/servlet/pagecompile/ExtendedJhtmlPageProcessor
javaCompilerClassName=atg.servlet.pagecompile.SunJavaSourceCompiler
This solved my problem. I was able to load password change JHTML fine. Not sure yet why ATG Dyn Admin was redirecting me to password change page, and why it accepted my WebLogic console credentials. I wonder if it's a WebLogic specific thing.
you can change your password through /dyn/admin console there is a link password management from where you can reset the default password from admin/admin
