How to hide glowing Text appear on saving VS Code File - visual-studio-code

enter image description here
Anyone knows what is that 6X glowing text on the right top corner, It appears automatically whenever I saved the file in VS Code editor and also when I press a few commands too.
Actually, when I clicked ctrl + s one time, it is like 1x, If I pressed ctrl + s two times it's 2x and it keep on increasing.
I don't want it to appear. How to hide?

I simply run the Bisect command and it solved my error by disabling one of the extensions that caused this problem.

I had the same problem and this was caused by the Power Mode extension. Disable it and be happy.

Thanks not a bad idea but annoying af, when your text becomes misaligned.

Keyboard input blocks in VSCode

Since yesterday, I have a problem when want to edit code in VSCode. Apparently, after changing focus within VSCode, say switching to the menu bar or a to different view and then coming back to the editor view, the cursor changed from the caret to a filled rectangle, and normal keyboard input is blocked. I need to do something like pressing the Escape key which on the first, second, or third try finally puts me into overwrite mode from which I have to switch to insert mode. This is a very annoying situation. Does anyone have a remedy for this?
Apparently, I happened somehow to switch to the vim schema. Once I became aware of this, I simply switched back to the VS schema which I'm used to, and everything works as desired.

Using vscode, i am driven crazy by annoying pop hint every time when i hit Space key, How to solve this problem?

i am driven crazy by annoying pop hint every time when I hit Space key. As shown below:
Now, how to find out which extension or pop snippet hint is causing the issue when I hit space key and which one to disable it ?
There are two ways to solve this issue.
Method 1:
In VSCODE. click File > preferences > keyboard shortcuts and search for space you could see space might be wrongly assigned to some intelli sense. Click on that particular keyboard shortcut. Double click the stroke and change the shortcut.
Method 2:
Very expensive way.
Disable all extensions first and try the space keystroke then try enabling one by one. You will definitely find the culprit.
Hope it helps
I solved it eventually by disable all snippet extend one bye one, then the latest extensions, found out the cause is https://github.com/bauhausr/antd-intellisense extension.
It drives me crazy too. I just turned off Editor: Suggest On Trigger Characters and it seems to be working for me!

Visual Studio Code window is not appearing

I've encountered a very strange bug with Microsoft Visual Studio Code. I've been using VSCode for a few months now and never had this issue. When I open VSCode, the window just doesn't appear. The app is definitely open, because when I hover over the icon on my taskbar I can see what is being displayed in the app:
Unfortunately, when I click on it, the window does not appear.... I've uninstalled and reinstalled, deleted cache, tried older versions and nothing has worked. Has anyone else encountered this and fixed it? Any advice?
hover over VSCode icon in taskbar
right click on it
click on "New Window"
That should do it.
I had something similar. It appears that the window is just off-screen. I've used my DisplayFusion display manager - to move windows to center/top where I could handle it myself. I expect it'll also work using <Win> + <←> (maximize window to left side of screen).
In my case, the issue went away when uninstalling the GlassIt-VSC extension. I tried modifying the opacity of the window and then it disappeared. I highly suggest you try uninstalling this extension.
In my case I had connected HDMI cable but due to power off my monitor was off, but when I disconnected hdmi cable; VS code visible on my screen.
Got the answer since no one was helping.
Go to view.
Click solution explorer.
It should show the name of your project.
Click the small arrow at the beginning of the heading of your project.
Click source files.
Click yourproject.cpp.
Thank you.
I encountered a similar issue with a plugin called GlassIt while I was playing with a property called "glassit.alpha" somehow it went to 1 (possibly I changed it accidentally) and nothing showed up. (here's an image where you can slightly see that I set alpha to 20)
what i did was to just edit the %appdata%\..\Roaming\Code\User\Settings.json and set "glassit.alpha": 1, to 255
UPDATE I just realised there was already an answer I didn't see while I was writing this post
I had this issue during a remote desktop session and could bring the VSC window back via hitting F11 (via the onscreen keyboard in my case, since the F11 key on my keyboard was being captured by the host system).
In my case, I have a dual monitor setup, and the laptop was in clamshell mode. However, the laptop's built-in monitor was recognized as a third monitor, and VsCode was going there.

Eclipse shows red lines at mouse pointer

Since I have re-installed my computer, there is a strange phenomena using Eclipse (both JAVA and C/C++).
The moment I press control+shift+s, two red lines appear near my mouse pointer.
Image of the red lines:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/92764732#N03/8431379591/
When I look in the settings-> keys, the control+shift+s is mapped to save all.
However, it does not save all, and only shows the red lines.
Defaulting the keys mapping does not work, I have tried this.
Does anyone has any idea on what these red lines mean, and how to get rid of them?!
Thanks in advance!
Jeroen
Well great, turned out it wasn't Eclipse after all.
Control+Shift+S is a shortcut from Mouse without borders (great tool by the way)!
So, fixed that one, on to saving a lot of files in one press :)

Why does the Eclipse IDE horizontal scrollbar keep resetting back to the absolute left column

I have Eclipse 3.7.1 classic, with added Android plugin and HTML editor plugin.
If I have a long line of text in the HTML editor and scroll the horizontal scrollbar to where I want to be, when I place the cursor there and start to type, after a short pause it keeps resets the horizontal scrollbar to the far left. It doesn't do it all the time, but it is frequent enough to be annoying.
Why is Eclipse doing this, and how can I stop it?
Not really an answer but I have the same Problem since yesterday. I don't know the cause or any solution but ende up splitting all my lengthy strings using either "\" or "+". That "fixed" the problem and resulted and better readability of the code.
Good Day

In my case this started happening after installing the Coffee Bytes Java Folding extension/plugin, and eventually it just annoyed me so much I turned it off...and the scroll jumping stopped.
It was a shame because I wanted folding of 'Regions' like in .Net and that extension gave me that ability. I've not looked for an alternative yet, but anyway I'm rambling - see if you have this extension enabled under Preferences > Java > Editor > Folding.
When this happens to me, the problem is that I'm not steady enough in my line selection. So I'll briefly be selecting two lines of input. And when the other line of input is shorter or even empty, it resets to the rightmost edge of that line (which if empty is the far left). Being very careful when moving horizontally can work but is difficult to maintain. Perhaps turning down the mouse sensitivity would help.
Searching for "eclipse line wrap" found that Alt Shift Y turns line wrap on and off. There also seems to be a button on the toolbar. See Does Eclipse have line-wrap for more details.
As others have noted, changing so that the lines aren't wider than the window also fixes this. But when you're in a situation where someone else sets the line length, toggling line wrap can be a quick and easy solution to this problem.
This of course assumes that you are having the same problem as me and not something caused by a plugin or other issue.
