i am using vscode but for some reason my fontligatures is not enabled so anyone can help me with this problem?

Hello This setting is used to enable font modification settings. However, before modifying, you must download the relevant fonts on your computer. I found a link to download:enter link description here, After downloading, install it, and you can see it in the windows control panel. Then revise where you said it!

More than likely this is not native vscode functionality. Check one of your plugins and uninstall it.

Pop-up message showing " Did you attach the CPU-Profile?" while trying to run live server in VScode

I have Live-Server extension installed in my VSCode.
I was trying to run the live-server but a pop-up appeared as below:
This is a reminder to make sure that you have not forgotten to attach 'c\Users\HP\AppData\Local\Temp\ritwickdey.LiveServer-unresponsive.cpuprofile.txt' to an existing performance issue.
I couldn't find much recourses to understand what the issue was or what action I should take about it.
BTW: Live Server is not loading the browser-page by its own, but at port:5500 its running.
Please Help.
after researching i found this blog, where i got to know that its because of performance issue
https://www.nicoespeon.com/en/2019/11/fix-vscode-extension-performance-issue/
first thing bundle your vsCode extensions:https://code.visualstudio.com/api/working-with-extensions/bundling-extension
if that solves the issue then great if not then add this extension to vsCode

hope the first link will provide complete solution.

How to check built-in formatter/beautifier version? and does it auto-update?

Somebody from stackoverflow asked me to check if I have the latest js-beautify in my vscode. But I don't know how to check it. Can you please help?
I read from one of the threads in VS Code that it uses js-beautify as the formatter (it's the one doing the 'formatonsave' etc.). Please correct me if I'm wrong.
If it uses js-beautify, how do I know what version it is in? and does it auto-update to the latest version whenever there's a new one?
Thank you.
I already tried going through documentations and I also checked the preferences thoroughly, but I can't seem to find how to (manually) check for updates about plugins, especially the built-in ones like js-beautify.
The default setting for extensions.autoUpdate in VS Code enables auto-updating for all extensions. You can confirm this in your user settings or simply bring up the Command Palette (CTRL+SHIFT+P) and type 'auto update' to enable or disable it.
In the Command Palette you can also update extension mannually.
The current version of every installed extension is listed right next to its name in the extension panel or under the Changelog panel.

VS Code - File Explorer / Explorer change case

Sorry if the question is bit silly, but on Ubuntu 16.4 I am trying out code editors for Angular 2. VS Code appeals because of TypeScript. But when I open a location the directory name in File Explorer is in ALL CAPS even though I don't use CAPS in directory names? Googling didn't help. Perhaps I am missing something.
How can I change it show my directory name exactly as it is in Ubuntu please? I have tried to look into settings.json etc but no joy.
Cheers.
if you mean this (see the image below), that would be a standard behaviour and has nothing to do with actual size of the letters. As far as I can tell, you cannot change this.
Well I went to GitHub as suggested but they have sadly declined (click) to do anything about this as some "as designed" thing, whatever that means. Pretty bad, but okay whatever.
Use this to customise. https://gist.github.com/Hendrixer/7a250a2be529cda8939de8305c9a85a1
It's just another chromium based renderer. Open developer console and customise anything you like.

Spring Tools Suite: Download : Link is not working

Can you please advise how to resolve the download issue with Spring tools suite. I am trying to download from the site: http://spring.io/tools/sts/all
and it does not show the active link to download. Please help.
Thank you

Radha
you have to click on the little three-horizontal-lines icon on the right side of each download area to open the popup that contains the download links. (If the popup doesn't show up, I would recommend to try a different browser.)
Hope that helps!!!
