I encountered a weird problem with the FB Creator Studio - the post preview simply is not displayed.
So what is expected is displayed on the following picture:
However, what I see - the preview pane on the right hand side is not displayed:
But when I right click on the page -> select "Inspect" -> in the Developer Tools start searching for the Post preview, then the preview pane magically appears. But after reloading the page, it's gone again. Ofc the Post preview substring is a part of the HTML code of that pane.
I have tried also Edge and Mozilla, same problem on the same PC. However, I don't experience this problem on other PC.

I've been using the Facebook Plugin for years, on dozens of websites, but all of a sudden, I can only see the page's facebook header, the actual feed appears only as a spinning icon. This is on my desktop and mobile device, feed is at the bottom of the page. https://saltydogfestival.com

However, my co-worker in the desk across from me tried it on his desktop and laptop and the feed loads just fine.
I'm not a page admin for this particular feed.
I have this plugin for other facebook pages, for which I AM an Admin, and those don't show up for me, either. I've tried using Chrome and Edge.
I'm knocking my head against the wall with this.... or maybe it's something so simple that I'm not seeing it... Suggestions??? Please save what's left of my sanity!
I think this issue has affected many sites including mine. I used a third party plugin recently that's said to no affect page speed. It's called "Buttonizer - Smart Floating Action Button" you can add a FB messenger button also and add call to action and any they button as well. I have disabled the Facebook chat one for now. If you can update me if it's now work for you that would be great as I'm in the same boat. Email mtgusto#outlook.com
Edited - bug seems resolved
This is what worked for me:
Go to Facebook Developers - Page Plugin and configure the 'widget' with desired params.
As you change the parameters the preview should update & show. If it doesn't, try signing out.
Click "Get Code" beneath the preview. I used the JavaScript SDK method.
Copy & paste the first piece of code after the < body > tag.
Copy & paste the second piece of code where the box should appear.
Previous answer - leaving here for posterity / reference
It seems to be an issue with Facebook that occurs when the visitor is signed in to Facebook. Try viewing the page in a private window or reload after you have signed out of Facebook to see if it loads when you are not signed in.
There's more information on a Facebook Developers bug report, which was just marked as closed 8/26, although it still appears to be happening: https://developers.facebook.com/support/bugs/584988619248795/
This other community thread has a work-around - look for Dave's comment: https://developers.facebook.com/community/threads/1018223139108570/
I injected <script> tags into my squarespace template making the <main> display:none. Now I cannot edit that section through squarespace because it is gone. Recommendations how to get it back without starting from scratch?
$( "#page" ).css( "display", "none" );
was the code I injected into the HTML.
Thank you in advance.
Its hard to understand what you are asking, but i'll assume that you added that single line of code, it hides everything when you navigate to your site page, and you are not sure how to go back to the adminstration page to remove that line of code?
You used "code injection" to insert that code. You can go back to that same code injection location and remove that line of code. The squarespace manual has documentation on code injection. If you are not sure where to go to get back to the administration pages, you can enter a url like this: https://<yoursite>/config for example: https://mysquarespacesite.com/config
For your problem I have one solution using Chrome inspector console tool(inbuilt tool of Chrome browser), make sure you open your website on Chrome browser with login to your squarespace website and follow these steps:
On your website homepage for example: https://<yoursite>/config, Click F12 from your keyboard OR right click using mouse and click on Inspect which will show you inspector mode of Chrome browser
Go to Console tab from inspector tool
Paste following code into Console:
document.getElementById('page').style.display = "block";
Hit enter and your <main> tag will be set as display block
Now your <main> section should be visible, go to code injection of your website and permanently remove display : none which will fix your website hiding <main> section problem for forever
Following are pictures of every step:
Note: I have tested this code into demo template of Squarespace website: https://bedford-demo.squarespace.com
Use the below code. Your code will execute only when you are not logged in as administrator.
if (window.top.location.href == window.self.location.href) {
$("#page").css("display", "none");
}
I have created a crystal report in asp.net webform but the project is actually Asp.netMVC4. It used to work just fine in all browser but now it shows a blank page in the browser. If i do a preview it works just fine but on the browser shows blank. No error message shown.
Please selecte any zooming option after preview......
Then check .........
I have created my first IFrame App in facebook (custom tab), and all the IFrame is directing to is a simple PHP page, with HTML tags stating Hello World...
However, this is showing up in Firefox and Chrome, but not in Internet Explorer - and I cannot figure out why; even tried googling it to no avail.
Please help me! I cannot move forward without solving this issue!!
did you already fixed this? I figured out that the Internet Explorer has a differend handling for parameters. I faced the same issue: my cutom tab (iframe) was working perfectly on Firefox, Opera, Chrome, but never shown IN IE7+8.
Later I realized that I added a questionmark to the URL, but w/o any parameter, like this:
http://www.mydomain.com/mypage.html?
Solution: If you just only want to embedd an html page, you don't need to do this any longer. Just create your Facebook app, go to "Facebook Integration", scroll down to "Page Tabs", add a "Tab Name" and the "Tab URL". Don't add a "?" to the Tab URL.
Once I removed the "?" the custom iframe tab is shown in Internet Explorer 7 and 8.
Any site I see generated with the Lift framework displays strange behaviour in the Chrome browser - on page load, the browser tab is blanked for around 1/3 of a second before the page is displayed. It's very disconcerting. This behaviour does not appear on Firefox or IE, just Chrome. In IE and Chrome, there is a slight delay after requesting a page during which the old page remains visible, which is the expected behaviour.
The behaviour is visible in Chrome even in the Lift homepage:
http://liftweb.net/
Does anyone know why this happens?
It seems to be blank until style.css is loaded, from what I gather from the developer tools in Chrome itself. In the audit, it says style.css should be moved to head, but it is already there. I wonder if the <content> tags that enclose everything are causing problems?
