Jasper Reports - error Unexpected EOF in prolog when using Chart Theme - jasper-reports

I need to build a new chart theme for a Line Chart. To do that I followed all the steps specified in this tutorial Chart Themes
To apply the theme in Jasper Studio I select the chart and I navigate to Properties -> Chart -> Here I select the name of the new theme from the Theme dropdown. After that I try to Preview the report. When I do this I get this error message:

I don't know what to do about this error. If I select another Theme from the Theme dropdown (a default theme) it works just fine. Can someone help me with this problem? Thank you!

iReport compile error found when click on the preview

I'm new to iReport and tried to generate a report using iReport. The problem I got was not compiling the jasper file.
This is the error I got. How can I fix this? I have already set the fonts, and cannot preview the report anyway.

Maybe you use Text Field instead of Static Text somewhere.
Text Field accepts only expressions.
It can generate errors like this.

Getting an error when configuring "serve modules without publishing"

I have recently configured my tomcat 6.0 with "serve modules without publishing" option, in order to avoid the end of the http session when I perform a hot code replacement. Since then I'm having the next error when starting the server:

This error never happened before without the "serve modules without publishing" option. It seems is trying to parse a svn inner file, and it's getting a parsing exception.
Thanks in advance.
The file
.svn/prop-base/WSprojectXService_schema1.xsd.svn-base
should not be exported to tomcat.
Upgrade to latest versions of subversion. It only has a .svn folder (in the oldest parent folder) and not one for each subfolder (which is why you're exporting the .svn subfolder).
You can try to tell eclipse not to export .svn subfolders but I do not know how to do that ...

Standard ML syntax error: illegal token on hello world program -- incorrect SML installation?

The SML file: "test.sml"
(* here is a comment *)
val x = 123;
I've installed SMLNJ 110.76 from here: http://www.smlnj.org/dist/working/110.76/, Emacs 24.3.1 from here: http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/emacs/windows/emacs-24.3-bin-i386.zip, and SML Mode for Emacs through the Emacs GUI.
The Emacs stack trace is this:
test.sml:1.2 Error: illegal token
test.sml:1.3 Error: illegal token
test.sml:1.5 Error: illegal token
test.sml:1.7 Error: illegal token
test.sml:1.9 Error: illegal token
and so on, ending with:
uncaught exception Compile [Compile: "syntax error"]
raised at: ../compiler/Parse/main/smlfile.sml:15.24-15.46
../compiler/TopLevel/interact/evalloop.sml:44.55
../compiler/TopLevel/interact/evalloop.sml:296.17-296.20
I also tried the same program via Sublime Text 3 with the SML and sublimeREPL packages as laid out here: http://developerinmotion.wordpress.com/2013/02/07/sublime-text-2-and-sml/. But I'm getting the same problem: a long list of illegal token syntax errors followed by:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SMLNJ\\bin\.run\run.x86-win32.exe: Fatal error -- Uncaught exception Compile with "syntax error" raised at ../compiler/Parse/main/smlfile.sml:15.24-15.46
What's the problem? Have I installed SMLNJ incorrectly?
I put your two lines in a file (test.sml) and opened in a standard SML REPL. It compiles normally:
- use "test.sml";
[opening test.sml]
val x = 123 : int
val it = () : unit
It seems that you have problems with setting your tools.
This problem may result from creating .sml file using UTF-8 character encoding. pls use ANSI instead.
