I've been having a problem with Visual Studio Code for a long time. When I write code and save it, the line automatically wraps itself, which over time has caused the code to become more difficult to read.
I'm sick of it and would like to know if there is any way to disable it.
From settings you can choose whether to enable or disable word wrap.
Here a similar question.
Go to File > Preferences > Setting (Windows) or Code > Preferences > Settings (macOS)
Type word wrap into the search field and you will see the search results immediately. Head to the Editor: Word Wrap section
Select on from the drop-down

I would like to change the keyboard shortcut for quick fix in Visual Studio 2013, so that it matches the ReSharper equivalent (which I only use on my office machine). How can I do it?
One way to do it is to enter on the menu 'Tools', 'Customize' and click on the 'Keyboard...' button near the 'Close' button.
Inside this option you can search for the commands by name (I couldn't find the Quick Fix here), maybe you want the Edit.FormatDocument one, that makes the indentation for the documents automatically.
If you can't find this option, tell me your quick fix actual keyboard shortcut, so I'll be able to check which function it calls.
I did some research on the R# QuickFix option and maybe what you want is this is the option you want: View.ShowSmartTag.
Look at this doc: Identify and customize keyboard shortcuts in Visual Studio
Whenever I type any HTML code in Visual Studio Code these items underline automatically which make code very illegible. I was looking for some solution but I haven't find anything useful.
Here's the example:
go to Files > Preferences > Settings in your VSCode
then search for editor.links in your settings search bar, uncheck the option Editor: links and thats it
So anytime I type space it brings up suggestions, which causes problems when I type space at the end of a line (just because i like having a little space there. This way cursor is at some distance from code when i click at the end of a line, it's easier to see code, it's less cluttered), and press enter. It brings up suggestions menu and insert the first thing from there, while i just want to insert a new line character.
I also need it to show suggestions when I'm typing, but only when I type a non whitespace character, so I can't set it to not bring up suggestions on typing.
I also want to accept suggestions on enter, so I can't turn this off either.
So I'm stuck with wanting suggestions on typing, but not on space, is there a way to somehow exclude space from suggestion triggers?
You can customize how you want to display it, this feature is called IntelliSense.
Go to File > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts (MacOs Code > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts)
and you can set the new key on:
list.toggleExpand
notification.toggle
if you want advance settings, go to keybindings.json

I think i've found a solution: turn off Suggest on Trigger Characters option.
This way it doesn't bring up IntelliSense on space or dot or anything else, but it still brings it up when i'm typing ordinary characters
I want to disable brace contents highlighting in RubyMine. It's very distracting. Instead of having the entire string highlighted I only want the braces themselves highlighted and if that is not possible I need it disabled. Is this possible?
Things I've done already to no success:
Enabled/disabled all highlight options under Settings/General to no
effect. I'm running RubyMine v8.0.3.
Read the documentation.
jetbrains.com/idea/help/highlighting-braces.html?search=highlighting
I've also read this document that states how to disable highlighting
of usages by simply pressing escape - it does not work.

Your file type seems to be HAML.
In Settings, go to Editor > Colors & Fonts > HAML. In the lower right area, you see demo code in HAML. Look for the right spot in the code and click on it.
You will probably click on the second line because there is some code in braces. In this case, RubyMine will select the entry Injected code in the list. The check box Use inherited attributes tells you that this settings is inherited.
Now you have to choose:
If you want to change the setting for Editor > Colors & Fonts > HAML - Injected code, switch off Use inherited settings, then switch off "Background".
If you want to the settings for injected code in all languages: Click on the link "General" (on the right). RubyMine will switch to Editor > Colors & Fonts > General - Injected language frament. Now switch off "Background"
Before modifing anything, you have to create a new scheme. The default scheme is read only. Click on Save As..., choose a name and press 'OK'.
Open the Settings/Preferences dialog.
In the Editor page of the IDE Settings, select the check box Highlight usages of element at caret to enable automatic usage highlighting.
How do I activate line wrapping in text editor in Aptana Studio?
I'm interested about wrapping in view mode (in order to not have to do horizontal scrolling).
Tried right-clicking within the editor and selecting ‘word wrap’ from the context menu?
On Main Menu click "Window" choose "Preferences". In left-side list, click "Aptana Studio". An alphabetical list on right side will show. Select "Editors" then check "Enable word wrap (requires restart)".
It seems to work on the latest version of Aptana as well. Here are some screenshots of where you can find such option.
I'm using Aptana Studio 3 and you can right click anywhere in the code and select Word Wrap which should be the second last option.
I'm using Aptana Studio 3, build: 3.4.2 and found that 'word wrap' can be change with in editor from context menu, BUT only if the mouse are on line number field! If the mouse is on text editor the option 'word wrap' missing. This change only setting for current opened file. It will be good to change default option !
Window > Preferences > Aptana > Editors...
Actually click on the word "Editors", you don't need to click the "+" symbol next to it. Once that loads, go to the "Advanced" tab, and you should see the option you're looking for to enable word wrap.
Found that here.

Once you restart, you should be good to go.
