Laravel Backpack devtools add-on not working? - laravel-backpack

I'm having an issue with devtools.
I just did a clean install of Laravel followed by new backpack install. During the install when I was prompted to install paid add-ons, I went to the backpack site and purchased "backpack pro" and "devtools". Went back to installer and installed both add-ons. Everything worked as expected with no errors.
Then went to http://project.test/admin. Registered an admin account. Logged in. Then went to http://project.test/admin/devtools. App/Models/User is shown on the models screen so I clicked the generate CRUD button. It seemed like it was doing something, but I didn't see anything change.
Now on the Models screen, the "Generate button" under actions is disabled and the disabled class is present on the button in the inspector. The CRUDs link in the top navbar links to nothing (a href="#").
So now I click the "Generate All CRUDs button". It pops up the green notification which displays "CRUD generated for: " nothing, it doesn't show a CRUD name.
When I click the "See files" button on the model, it shows a list of all the files it created except the Route link and the Menu link are disabled.
I'm not sure if missing something - what do I do now?
NEW INFO
I finally found an error. Creating a new model with migration works. However, when trying to generate a CRUD for any model, I get this error:
str_repeat(): Argument #2 ($times) must be greater than or equal to 0
It's happening in the middleware:
App\Http\Middleware\CheckIfAdmin
in the handle function on line 66. Line 66 is: return $next($request);

I've just create a new Laravel app and followed the steps to add the PRO and Devtools repo.
I did the same as you did, opened the "Models" and saw only User. I made sure I deleted the user migration before as you said that Models without migration wouldn't work.
I clicked Generate CRUD, and got the green notifications.
This is what I get when I click on See Files
https://prnt.sc/t7kbQme68yVM
Route and Menu are disabled because it's a feature we are still working on, nothing that impacts the application.
If your issue persist please open a issue report on https://github.com/Laravel-Backpack/devtools-issues
UPDATE: We found a situation where that str_repeat could trigger, we are working on it and will patch it ASAP. I will let you know here when we do it
UPDATE 2: It was fixed. Thanks for the report!
Cheers

Bit.cloud not showing my components tests

Bit.cloud is not showing my tests, but they are right there, and they show when running bit start locally. Sadly, the link on the no tests page directing me to learn how to add tests goes to a 404.
I the workspace is public, have a look and see here, the first link the is "tests" tab showing empty, https://bit.cloud/koodoo/koomeleon/second-charge/validation/~tests, and this link is a test for the the same component https://bit.cloud/koodoo/koomeleon/second-charge/validation/~code/eligibility/dateOfBirth/index.test.ts.
Also, side note, can I get an invite to the Slack workspace please? Again the link on the bit.cloud page goes to a sign-in page for the workspace bit-dev-community, but there is no way of registering or requesting an invite.
Please and thank you in advanced.
Explanation
The reason your tests are not being show is due to its extension.
Tests are configured to use the .spec.ts extension to work.
Solution
Having said so, rename your test to:
vaidation.spec.tsx
and it will work.
edit: forgot to add the 'x' at the end of '.tsx'

Navigation, menu and look and feel disappears on Liferay 7 CE

I am trying to deploy and test a portlet on Liferay 7.0 CE version. All of a sudden I realized that the menu icon on top that displays the left navigation, the Add and the configure option on the top right and the menu on the top rightof each portlet that allows you to configure has all disappeared. I had seen and used it in the past, but am not aware at what point I lost all these options. Now I am unable to clear cache, add a new portlet or remove existing ones.
Can someone give me some ideas as to what could have happened? Could it be some javascript in my portlet that's conflicting with the bundle that holds these options? Or could something else be wrong?
Looks like I had got signed out which caused all the menu icons and navigation to disappear. I could only see the Sign-in link, but when I tried to Sign-in, sign-in did not work. The Sign-in pop-up stayed as it is. I could not see errors in any logs either. I had to undeploy the portlet after which the sign-in worked. Then I redeployed the portlet and its all good until I Sign-out and the icons disappear again and Sign-in does not work again.
Has anyone faced this issue? Why does the Sign-in not work with the portlet running? Do I need to change anything with the role?
My portlet.xml has :
<security-role-ref>
<role-name>administrator</role-name>
</security-role-ref>
<security-role-ref>
<role-name>guest</role-name>
</security-role-ref>
<security-role-ref>
<role-name>power-user</role-name>
</security-role-ref>
<security-role-ref>
<role-name>user</role-name>
</security-role-ref>
My liferay-portlet.xml has :
<role-mapper>
<role-name>administrator</role-name>
<role-link>Administrator</role-link>
</role-mapper>
<role-mapper>
<role-name>guest</role-name>
<role-link>Guest</role-link>
</role-mapper>
<role-mapper>
<role-name>power-user</role-name>
<role-link>Power User</role-link>
</role-mapper>
<role-mapper>
<role-name>user</role-name>
<role-link>User</role-link>

Navigation between ionic pages 3

I'm having trouble with navCtrl.push. The flow is as follows:
n pages' 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3` I can go back and forth as many times as I want, but when I click the back button I need to return on page 1.
To go to the next page I use the button click event like this:
(Click) = "quickAccess ('Page1.1')"
And to go back I add navPop to my navbar` button.
THE MISTAKE
When I click on the back, you are returning parts for the pastes of pages 1.2, 1.2 and 1.3 if I have navigated 10 times between these pastes it will return the 10 times.
ATTEMPTS
I'm trying to follow the following thinking when I navigate for example from page 1.1 to1.2 I should remove '1.1and so on, but I'm having this problem, how do I do this, already tried to index byView name` but none of them work.
PLEASE NOTE
It is important to know that there are other pages prior to PAGE 1 the flow with problem is only in this case, in the rest everything goes as expected.
I found the problem!
According to this inssue no ionic team:
https://github.com/ionic-team/ionic/issues/12238
An error is occurring in the structure, a solution for installing the fix via npm as reported in inssue:
npm install ionic-angular # night
So my .remove () works perfectly now.

TinyMCE file picker in Moodle 2.5 is not loading

I've created a fresh install of Moodle 2.5. I installed successfully, I thought. I have not customized the theme, so it can NOT be theme-based.
TinyMCE's file picker is not loading...whether trying to upload a file or creating/editing a course under the Course summary files section...all I get is the "Loader" star. I did some research and found no solutions that worked. Quite a few said "custom themes," but I have no custom themes yet. Now, in checking the console, I got this:
- Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected Identifier /lib/editor/tinymce/tinymce/3.5.8/tiny_mce.js:2
- Uncaught ReferenceError: tinymce is not defined module.js:1
- Uncaught ReferenceError: tinyMCE is not defined yui_combo.php?moodle/1374671241/editor_tinymce/collapse/collapse-min.js:1
Digging further, I found the error on tiny_mce.js with the "uncaught syntax error" is around this area (I beautified the JavaScript for better readability and it ended up on line 3344):
pi: function(h, i) {
if (i) {
c.push("")
} else {
c.push("")
}
if (a) {
c.push("\n")
}
}
I also have no clue why the page is not seeing TinyMCE as defined.
In my browsing of multiple sites, one person mentioned being able to open the file picker in Moodle 2.5 when logged in as a regular non-Moodle user. They, too, have no answer to the problem, but I tried that and the file picker did, indeed, open.
Update
I've found it's not quite just the file picker. This whole thing is tying in to TinyMCE not loading properly...with the editing toolbar capability (whether collapsed or not.) It acts as if it's a simple text editor.
I fought with it and ended up causing more problems than solutions, so I uninstalled everything, and started from scratch. I have no plugin add-ons, no fancy themes (it's the basic one it installs with), and no customization, and it's still buggy.
The console continues to say:
- Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected Identifier /lib/editor/tinymce/tinymce/3.5.8/tiny_mce.js:2
- Uncaught ReferenceError: tinymce is not defined module.js:1
- Uncaught ReferenceError: tinyMCE is not defined yui_combo.php?
And it pauses the debugger on practically every page with this. It's telling me that there's a problem with how TinyMCE is called in.
I've submitted a bug report, but haven't gotten the answer yet. What I'm hoping for is someone else to have had the same problem and come up with the solution, remembering there is no theme customization, no add-ons...so they can't be at fault.
As a matter of fact I also banged to this issue after upgrading to Moodle 2.5.1+, and after digging it for hours came up with a solution that made things work smooth again, I have disabled Cache JavaScript from:
Home / ► Site administration / ► Appearance / ► AJAX and Javascript
After saving the settings the file picker started working as normal. I am not sure how bad this will affect overall moodle performance and how bad it will increase the load on server and website loading overhead, but at the moment that was the only solution that I came up with.
Hope this will help...
version 2.5.1+
The FilePicker doesn't load when editing is turned on.
If you have this issue where the FilePicker hangs while loading, click on the following:
Administration | Course Administration | Turn editing off
Then refresh the page with the FilePicker that you need to use.
I'm putting this as an answer, because I received one, and I want everyone who ends up with a similar problem to know the way to solve it.
The problem was with the admin user profile settings. The Moodle team responded, and told me what to do.
It's as simple as:
Change the admin's user profile and set not to use html editor by default.
Purge all caches both in moodle and in your browser.
Make sure that in "Site administration ► Development ► Debugging" you have "debug messages = developers" and "display debug = yes"
Thanks!

Eclipse RCP : how to get currently selected node in preference dialog

I have added a new preference page in my application. and performing some task when user press ok button. problem is my code is executing even other node(preference page) is selected in the preference dialog.now i need to check whether currently selected node is my preference page before executing my code inside ok button. any help will be appreciated.
Sorry to say, but I think your problem have started a bit earlier. If done without too many hooks and nooks, you should only be called when necessary, so it sounds a bit odd to me.
I can usually just override performOk or in some cases performApply without these problems.
Have a look at the docs, just in case
