I am trying to run JBeret Batch on a Wildfly Domain Cluster locally, but I keep getting the error
"WFLYCTL0030: No resource definition is registered for address [ (\"deployment\" => \"ExampleJob.war\"), (\"subsystem\" => \"batch-jberet\") ]"
To host the cluster I tried to use the default configuration. I am using Wildfly 26.1.3 .
To run my setup I am using this commands on my windows machine to run the Master and Slave.
.\bin\domain.bat --host-config=host-master.xml -Djboss.domain.base.dir=domain1
and
.\bin\domain.bat --host-config=host-slave.xml -Djboss.domain.base.dir=host1 -Djboss.domain.master.address=127.0.0.1 -Djboss.management.http.port=9991
After That I deploy any batch application and try to run it in the adminpanel and get the error.
I tried also to use the cli, which didnt change anything.
I also tried to run it without the base.dir config so it uses the same folder but that did not change something.
I also tried to run different JDKs (I am now using JDK11).
To test that it is not working I tried this job from jberet directly. Also I tried other example Jobs like csv2json and keep getting the same error.
In Standalone the example jobs work.
I installed a fresh gcloud sdk (in Azure Cloud Shell if it matters...)
chad#Azure:~$ gcloud --version
Google Cloud SDK 279.0.0
bq 2.0.53
core 2020.01.31
gsutil 4.47
I'm trying to run 'gcloud init' -- but the URL it renders does not work...

I'm a new one just start to learn and install RabbitMQ on Windows System.
I install Erlang VM and RabbitMQ in custom folder, not default folder (Both of them).
Then I have restarted my computer.
By the way,My Computer name is "NULL"
I cd to the RabbitMQ/sbin folder and use command:
rabbitmqctl status
But the return message is:
Status of node rabbit#NULL ...
Error: unable to perform an operation on node 'rabbit#NULL'.
Please see diagnostics information and suggestions below.
Most common reasons for this are:
Target node is unreachable (e.g. due to hostname resolution, TCP connection or firewall issues)
CLI tool fails to authenticate with the server (e.g. due to CLI tool's Erlang cookie not matching that of the server)
Target node is not running
In addition to the diagnostics info below:
See the CLI, clustering and networking guides on http://rabbitmq.com/documentation.html to learn more
Consult server logs on node rabbit#NULL
DIAGNOSTICS
attempted to contact: [rabbit#NULL]
rabbit#NULL:

epmd reports node 'rabbit' uses port 25672 for inter-node and CLI tool traffic
TCP connection succeeded but Erlang distribution failed
Authentication failed (rejected by the remote node), please check the Erlang cookie
Current node details:
node name: rabbitmqcli70#NULL
effective user's home directory: C:\Users\Jerry Song

I have try to RESTART RabbitMQ, What I get is:
ERROR: node with name "rabbit" already running on "NULL"
By the way,My Computer name is "NULL"
And I have enable all ports in firewall.
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/rabbitmq-users/a6sqrAUX_Fg
describes the problem where there is a cookie mismatch on a fresh installation of Rabbit MQ. The easy solution on windows is to synchronize the cookies
Also described here: http://www.rabbitmq.com/clustering.html#erlang-cookie
Ensure cookies are synchronized across 1, 2 and Optionally 3 below
%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%\.erlang.cookie (usually C:\Users\%USERNAME%\.erlang.cookie for user %USERNAME%) if both the HOMEDRIVE and HOMEPATH environment variables are set
%USERPROFILE%\.erlang.cookie (usually C:\Users\%USERNAME%\.erlang.cookie) if HOMEDRIVE and HOMEPATH are not both set
For the RabbitMQ Windows service - %USERPROFILE%\.erlang.cookie (usually C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile)
The cookie file used by the Windows service account and the user running CLI tools must be synchronized by copying the one from C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile folder.
If you are using dedicated drive folder locations for your development tools/software in Windows10(Not the windows default location), one way you can synchronize the erlang cookie as described by https://www.rabbitmq.com/cli.html is by copying the cookie as explained below.
Please note in my case HOMEDRIVE and HOMEPATH environment variables both are not set.
After copying the "C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\.erlang.cookie" to "C:\Users\%USERNAME%\.erlang.cookie" ,
the error "tcp connection succeeded but Erlang distribution failed" is resolved.
Now I am able to use "rabbitmqctl.bat status" command successfully. Hence there is no mandatory need to install in default location to resolve this error as synchronizing cookie will resolve that error.
In my case similar issue (Authentication failed because of Erlang cookies mismatch) solved by copying .erlang.cookie file from Windows system dir - C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\.erlang.cookie to %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%\.erlang.cookie (where %HOMEDRIVE% was set to H: and %HOMEPATH% to \ respectively)
Quick setup TODO for Windows, Erlang OTP 24 and RabbitMQ 3.8.19:
Download & Install Erlang [OTP 24] (needs Admin rights) from:
https://www.erlang.org/downloads
set ERLANG_HOME (should point to install dir)
Download & Install recent [3.8.19] RabbitMQ (needs Admin rights) from:
https://github.com/rabbitmq/rabbitmq-server/releases/
Follow: https://www.rabbitmq.com/install-windows.html and/or
https://www.rabbitmq.com/install-windows-manual.html
set RABBITMQ_SERVER (should point to install dir)
update %PATH% by adding: ;%RABBITMQ_SERVER%\sbin
Fix Erlang-cookie issue from above, follow: https://www.rabbitmq.com/cli.html#erlang-cookie
Enable Web UI by running command: %RABBITMQ_SERVER%/sbin/rabbitmq-plugins.bat enable rabbitmq_management
From item #8 (above) got error because of missing file: %USERPROFILEDIR%/AppData/Roaming/RabbitMQ/enabled_plugins -> had to create it and run %RABBITMQ_SERVER%/sbin/rabbitmq-plugins.bat enable rabbitmq_management again!
Run/restart on the way might be required
Finally, login to: http://localhost:15672/ (guest:guest)
, or check by cURL:
curl -i -u guest:guest http://localhost:15672/api/vhosts
should receive response like:
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
cache-control: no-cache
content-length: 186
content-security-policy: script-src 'self' 'unsafe-eval' 'unsafe-inline';
object-src 'self'

P.S. Some useful RabbitMQ CLI commands (copy-paste):
%RABBITMQ_SERVER%/sbin/rabbitmqctl start_app
%RABBITMQ_SERVER%/sbin/rabbitmqctl stop_app
%RABBITMQ_SERVER%/sbin/rabbitmqctl status
P.P.S. UPDATE: great article for this subject: https://www.journaldev.com/11655/spring-rabbitmq
I have reinstalled the RabbitMQ in my computer by using default setup folder
Then checked with the command :
rabbitmqctl status
It works now, not the problem of Erlang VM .(Means Er can install at another folder)
It will cause some problem (like this one) that I couldn't find out now if we don't use the RabbitMQ default setup require folder (C:\Program Files\RabbitMQ Server)
If anyone finds it out, I hope you can tell me why and how to fix.
How I resolved mine
It's mostly caused by cookie mismatch on a fresh installation of Rabbit MQ
follow this 2 steps
1. copy the .erlang.cookie file from C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile paste it into
C:\Users\["your user nameusername"] folder
2. run rabbitmq-service.bat stop and rabbitmq-service.bat start
Done it should work now when you run 'rabbitmqctl start_app' good luck.
note if you have more than one user put it in the correct user folder
In Centos.
add ip nodename pair to /etc/hosts on each node.
restart rabbitmq-server service on each slave node.
works for me.
i got error like this, i just stop my rabbitMQ with close port 25672
here syntax for linux:
kill -9 $(lsof -t -i:25672)

Just adding my experience if it helps others down the line.
I wrote a Powershell .ps1 script to install and configure RabbitMQ which would be used as one of the stept to provision a server with Packer.
I wrote the code on a fresh AWS W2016 Server build. It worked fine when run on the box (as administrator, from an admin PS console) but when the same code was moved over to the Packer build server, it would fall over when doing the rabbitmqctl.bat configuration steps via packer, despite both using (as far as I can tell) Administrator to run the scripts.
So this worked on the coding box:
$pathvargs = {cmd.exe /c "rabbitmqctl.bat" add_user Username Password}
Invoke-Command -ScriptBlock $pathvargs
$pathvargs = {cmd.exe /c "rabbitmqctl.bat" set_user_tags User administrator}
Invoke-Command -ScriptBlock $pathvargs
$pathvargs = {cmd.exe /c "rabbitmqctl.bat" set_permissions -p "/" User "^User-.*" ".*" ".*"}
Invoke-Command -ScriptBlock $pathvargs
Write-Host "Did RabbitMQ"
But I had to prelude this with...
copy "C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\.erlang.cookie" "C:\Program Files\RabbitMQ Server\rabbitmq_server-3.7.17\sbin\.erlang.cookie"
copy "C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\.erlang.cookie" $env:userprofile\.erlang.cookie -force
... On the Packer box.
I am guessing there is some context issue going on but I'm using
"winrm_username": "Administrator",
in the Packer builders block, so I thought this would suffice.
TL;DR - Use the Cookie even though it works without it in some instances.
I have encountered the same error after installing Erlang VM and RabbitMQ using the default installation folders in Windows 10. Managed to start the management and access it via HTTP, but status failed with this error.
The cookie was fine in all folders (%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%, %USERPROFILE%, C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile).
I had to perform a restart the Windows to make it work. After restart it set up something to run at startup + asked permission to make an exception in the firewall.
In my case, the file was at c:\\Windows\.erlang.cookie, just copied it to C:\Users{USERNAME} and all works, thanks to everyone for the hits
Another thing to check after making sure the cookie file is in all the locations.. is to realize that you installed 32 bit Erlang.. not 64..
Happened to me. Removed 32 bit Erlang and Installed 64 and rabbitmqctl status returns expected results.
Hi I standup a local openwhisk instance following https://github.com/openwhisk/openwhisk#alternate-instructions-for-mac-developers - which mostly worked.
I can now create user using wskadmin and see the tables created in cloudant instance -
But after that when I try to invoke or list any action or package I get
ErrNo -2 - Service or Command not known
wsk package list or wsk action list
when I use verbose mode I see apihost is sent blank.
Any idea what's up with this and what should be apihost to begin with (I think it should be localhost but not working)
The API host is your Vagrant machine IP address. From here: https://github.com/openwhisk/openwhisk#using-cli-from-outside-vagrant-machine
The virtual machine IP address is 192.168.33.13 (see Vagrant file). From your host, configure wsk to use your Vagrant-hosted OpenWhisk deployment and run the "echo" action again to test.
wsk property set --apihost 192.168.33.13 --auth
The same question and answer appear here: https://github.com/openwhisk/openwhisk/issues/127
Are there any simple ways to see what wars have been deployed in Jboss AS and undeploy some of them? I want to do this from the command line.
I tried using jmx but I keep getting exception saying "org.jboss.util.NestedRuntimeException: jmx not bound;" I'd prefer to do it in a way where I don't have to stop and start the application server.
You can approach this in three ways in JBoss Application Server 7:
Management Console
Management CLI
Deployment folder
Management Console
Being a GUI, the Management Console is the most visual of the three, and you can see the list of deployed applications under the Deployment window. You have the option to Disable and Remove the deployed applications listed here. This screenshot is from AS7.0.2, and some windows have and will change with the addition of tabs, but the general functionality remains the same.
Management CLI
The Management Command Line Interface is a new addition to AS7. The CLI exposes a lot of low-level functionality, and is a powerful tool once you get familiar with the commands and operations. As you might expect, you can run help to show the commands, or run <commandname> --help for more information on a specific command. Two useful commands are deploy and undeploy, so let's look at their help information. I'll give Linux examples, but you can insert your flavour of OS as required.
Here's deploy:
[standalone#localhost:9999 /] deploy --help
SYNOPSIS
deploy (file_path [--name=deployment_name] [--runtime_name=deployment_runtime_name] [--force] | --name=deployment_name) [--server-groups=group_name (,group_name)* | --all-server-groups]
DESCRIPTION
Deploys the application designated by the file_path or enables an already existing
but disabled in the repository deployment designated by the name argument.
If executed w/o arguments, will list all the existing deployments.
ARGUMENTS
file_path - the path to the application to deploy. Required in case the deployment
doesn't exist in the repository.
The path can be either absolute or relative to the current directory.
--name - the unique name of the deployment. If the file path argument is specified
the name argument is optional with the file name been the default value.
If the file path argument isn't specified then the command is supposed to
enable an already existing but disabled deployment, and in this case the
name argument is required.
--runtime_name - optional, the runtime name for the deployment.
--force - if the deployment with the specified name already exists, by default,
deploy will be aborted and the corresponding message will printed.
Switch --force (or -f) will force the replacement of the existing deployment
with the one specified in the command arguments.
--server-groups - comma separated list of server group names the deploy command should apply to.
Either server-groups or all-server-groups is required in the domain mode.
This argument is not applicable in the standalone mode.
--all-server-groups - indicates that deploy should apply to all the available server groups.
Either server-groups or all-server-groups is required in domain mode.
This argument is not applicable in the standalone mode.
-l - in case none of the required arguments is specified the command will
print all of the existing deployments in the repository. The presence of the -l switch
will make the existing deployments printed one deployment per line, instead of
in columns (the default).
And here's undeploy:
[standalone#localhost:9999 /] undeploy --help
SYNOPSIS
undeploy name [--server-groups=group_name (,group_name)* | --all-relevant-server-groups] [--keep-content]
DESCRIPTION
Undeploys the deployment with the given name and, depending on the arguments, removes
its content from the repository.
If the deployment name isn't specified, prints the list of all the existing deployments.
ARGUMENTS
name - the name of the deployment to undeploy.
--server-groups - comma separated list of server group names the undeploy command should apply to.
Either server-groups or all-relevant-server-groups is required in the domain mode.
This argument is not applicable in the standalone mode.
--all-relevant-server-groups - indicates that undeploy should apply to all the server groups
in which the deployment is enabled.
Either server-groups or all-relevant-server-groups is required in domain mode.
This argument is not applicable in the standalone mode.
--keep-content - by default undeploy, besides disabling the deployment, also removes its
content from the repository. The presence of --keep-content will only disable
the deployment w/o removing its content from the repository.
This argument can be used in both standalone and domain modes.
-l - in case the deployment name isn't specified, the presence of the -l switch
will make the existing deployments printed one deployment per line, instead of
in columns (the default).
The CLI In Action
Running the deploy or undeploy command without any arguments will list all the applications available. So your workflow to log in to the CLI and undeploy an application would be like this (simplified):
Change directory from EAP_HOME to the bin folder:
[user#home EAP_HOME]$ cd bin
Run the CLI logon script:
[user#host bin]$ ./jboss-admin.sh
You are disconnected at the moment. Type 'connect' to connect to the server or 'help' for the list of supported commands.
Instruct the API to connect (this can also be passed at runtime as ./jboss-admin.sh --connect).
[disconnected /] connect
Connected to standalone controller at localhost:9999
Run the undeploy command to display available applications.
[standalone#localhost:9999 /] undeploy
test.ear
Run the undeploy command to undeploy the application. In this case, the test.ear.
[standalone#localhost:9999 /] undeploy test.ear
Successfully undeployed test.ear.
Deployment Folder
If you are running an instance of AS7 as a development tool, and are using the deployment folder, you can simply delete the application. You will notice that a marker file is created, such as test.ear.failed, to signify the status of the application deployment.
With JBoss Application Server it's possible handle deployment with plain file operations on wars/ears in deploy dir.
Just ls to enumerate, delete to undeploy, copy to deploy and touch to redeploy. No server restart required.
Also for the newest version of JBoss Application Server 7 you can use CLI.
You can also try CLI GUI. The Deployments-->Undeploy menu option provides a pick list of deployments. A couple of clicks and you are done.
See https://community.jboss.org/wiki/AGUIForTheCommandLineInterface
You dont have to restart the JBOSS server if you remove the WAR and EAR the application gets undeployed .
The article (http://docs.jboss.org/jbossas/docs/Clustering_Guide/4/html/clustering-intro-farm.html ) gives the perfect explanation of how it works.
Let all know if you have any questions about it .
We have been doing the development on Jboss the same way in our DEV , QA and Prod environment and have not faced any issues with it so-far.
