i'm very new to Tableau.
i have a bar chart and another column chart which have relative information to thebar chart.
what i would like to achieve is when user clicks bar of the chart, another chart will show with the corresponding data.
I achieved this, but I need to show the chart when the use clicks the bar's only.It should hide by default
Use filter actions and set your target sheet to "Exclude all values" in the "Clearing the Selection will:" section. For more information, check our the docs. https://onlinehelp.tableau.com/current/pro/desktop/en-us/actions.htm
I have a line/area chart in highcharts. When you hover over the chart you will see the tooltip but also a background color for that particular x-axis item. What I would love to have is this backgroundcolor automatically shown (without tooltip) (for the current month)without having to hover. So it makes the chart more easy to read and they can see directly what month it is.
I have created a horizontal bar chart in iReport Designer 5.1.0.
Does anyone know how I can locate the x axis at the bottom of the bar chart by setting its properties?
Did you mean, change the location of x axis? As far as I know, you can do this with multi axis chart. If you want to do it for a bar chart, you have to use chart customizer. Here's a link on how to achieve the same.
I want to draw horizontal stacked bar chart which will have two section. Is it possible to draw in iReport.
Thanks...
it is possible...
from properties of the normal graph select ORIENTATION as horizontal and thats it..
your task done..
as simple as that..
check out my images..
It's a bit hidden in a newer version. After selecting your chart component, you can find it after selecting Chart Plot among Properties' tabs (see picture).
Or you can type "Orientation" into Search Property field.
EDIT: For some reason there's no "Search property" field in the first screenshot. It should be located here:
I am using Range Bar chart in SSRS 2008. I am able to show the label for each bar, but i need to display both the start and end point label for each bar.
Any Ideas?
Look at the Series area, right click on the series and select "Show Data Labels". Pops them right up!
