MYSQL Workbench cannot find command line client - mysql-workbench

I'm trying to execute a very simple command from MySQL Workbench in Linux Mint.
Connection to the server seems OK and the server is running.
However, when I try to run a code I get:
"mysql command line client not found. Please fix its path in Preferences -> Administration"
But when I try to select the path /usr/bin/mysql from Administration I cannot even access the /usr path, I get 'permission denied'.
I tried playing around with apparmor, stopping the service to see if that was the case, but no results so far.
UPDATE:
Maybe a bit more Linux Mint related. I tried opening from the command line using the command:
sudo mysql-workbench-community
and I get the following output:
mkdir: cannot create directory '/run/user/0': Permission denied

Failed to read postmaster.pid file while running embedded-postgres

My Spring application uses yandex-qatools/postgresql-embedded for executing Unit Tests.
While executing them, I am constantly getting the below error :
ERROR 75847 --- [ Test worker] r.y.q.embed.postgresql.PostgresProcess : Failed to read PID file (File '/var/folders/sh/xr6l_7bs1_z9v1jfsyctc45w0000gp/T/postgresql-embed-b05c213f-7416-4200-a586-a3afb3263478/db-content-4f285249-22ea-4625-b771-156adbf5851f/postmaster.pid' does not exist)

There is a warning popped up before the exception, but for now, let's ignore it.

Check your installation.
I verified that no other instance of Postgress is running on my local machine using
ps -ef|grep postgres
Followed this thread as well, but it doesn't help.
Ran out of options to fix this, can anyone please suggest how to resolve it.
OSX version: 12.1
Thanks in advance
In my case, besides your error, I also could see the following error:
r.y.q.embed.postgresql.PostgresProcess : Possibly failed to run initdb:
initdb: invalid locale settings; check LANG and LC_* environment variables
This message led me to the solution. I just added the below environment properties to my .zshrc file:
export LANG="en_US.UTF-8"
export LC_ALL="en_US.UTF-8"
export LC_CTYPE="en_US.UTF-8"

Error when activating a TYPO3 extension using Composer

I am running the following command in the directory where my root composer.json file is located:
./vendor/bin/typo3 extension:activate slickcarousel
However, I get the following error in return:
In ConnectionPool.php line 110: The requested database connection named "Default" has not been configured.
Even though I have configured my database in my LocalConfiguration.php. I also cannot find the ConnectionPool.php file in the vendor directory. How do I fix this error?
Do you use a different TYPO3 Context maybe? then you need to set that as well with
TYPO3_CONTEXT=Development ./vendor/bin/typo3 extension:activate slickcarousel

OCI runtime exec failed: exec failed: container_linux.go:348 : starting container process caused "no such file or directory": unknown

I am trying to bringup my fabric network.
I got my orderers organization started.
I got my peer organizations started.
I got my cli started.
after that request is failing with
OCI runtime exec failed:
exec failed: container_linux.go:348 : starting container process caused "no such file or directory": unknown
The error means that either working_dir is undefined, or it does not exist.
Czeck the cli section in your docker-compose file for the above setting.
If you are working on Windows OS, a possible cause is the file encoding (should be in Unix format).
You could open this page:
https://hyperledger-fabric.readthedocs.io/en/latest/build_network.html
And search "No such file or directory". There is some related trouble shooting.
Just a short description:
Ensure that the file in question is encoded in the Unix format. This was most likely caused by not setting core.autocrlf to false in your Git configuration. There are several ways of fixing this. If you have access to the vim editor for instance, open the file:
vim ./path/to/the/related-file
Then change its format by executing the following vim command:
:set ff=unix

Hawq init failed -- "postgres" is needed by initdb

After I build incubator-hawq on Centos7.1, I tried to init it. But the error below occurs:

When I type the command, the below shows:
[hawqadmin#host-172-16-0-105 hawqAdminLogs]$ postgres -V
postgres (HAWQ) 8.2.15
Any advice? Thanks!
If "postgres -V" works, that means the postgres binary is good.
Before you do "hawq init cluster", please make sure:
1) $GPHOME in greenplum_path.sh is correctly set to the directory of hawq binary, i.e, /usr/hawq in your case
2) source $GPHOME/greenplum_path.sh
3) check if initdb and postgres binary is in $GPHOME/bin
From the error you pasted above, 2 possible causes:
(1) The binary postgres called is not /usr/hawq/bin/postgres, You can use which postgres to check the path.
(2) The dependent lib for postgres may be wrong. You can use ldd for linux or otool for mac to print all dependent lib paths, and check them.
Moreover, if any error when init hawq, please check log in ~/hawqAdminLogs/, you may find out the specific error message.
Hope it will help you to find out the root cause.
Recently I faced same error while initializing cluster.
Postgres -V showed correct version, which postgres showed /usr/local/hawq/bin/postgres, also the path was already set, still faced above error.
Finally resolved by setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH to /usr/local/hawq/lib/ and sourced it via .bashrc file.
Looks like you might have installed hawq binaries in different directory . Please check the following
1.Make sure you have all the right PATH set
Check hawq initdb binaries are there in /usr/hawq/bin/ directory
make sure you have successed compile hawq and install them
check postgres is in the same dir with initdb
if there are more than 1 postgres in your pc, make sure the path of postgres(the same dir with initdb) is in your PATH.

Error CREATEing SolrCore ... Specified config does not exist in Zookeeper:default

I used the following command:
./solr -e cloud -z localhost:2181 -noprompt
The final message is the following:
{
"responseHeader":{
"status":0,
"QTime":1616},
"failure":{
"":"org.apache.solr.client.solrj.impl.HttpSolrServer$RemoteSolrException:Error CREATEing SolrCore 'gettingstarted_shard2_replica1': Unable to create core [gettingstarted_shard2_replica1] Caused by: Specified config does not exist in ZooKeeper:default",

Confirmed zookeeper is running
[zk: localhost:2181(CONNECTED) 0]
I looked almost everywhere and cannot overcome. Can anyone help?
I recently downloaded and installed solr 4.10.3, was going through the official Quick Start using the command:
bin/solr start -e cloud -noprompt
and encountered the same looking exceptions as you:
"org.apache.solr.client.solrj.impl.HttpSolrServer$RemoteSolrException:Error CREATEing SolrCore 'gettingstarted_shard2_replica2': Unable to create core [gettingstarted_shard2_replica2] Caused by: Specified config does not exist in ZooKeeper:default"
Looking up in the bash I also saw the error line:
bin/solr: line 1085: jar: command not found
This was the reason for the exceptions, the "jar" command was not in the current path. After putting the "jar" command inside my path, these exceptions do not show up. It might be the same reason why you are getting the exceptions.
I am on a Fedora machine, and used the following guide to set up jar, java, javac etc. via the alternatives command (but I think you could just add the java/bin directory to your current path to solve the issue):
