Tabelau - how to avoid filter value for particular sheet - tableau-api

I have been using tabcmd to export the dashboard as a pdf. I want to apply a filter for a particular sheet only but tabcmd applies the filter values to all sheets
tabcmd export Store-TestCompany/Sales?Location%20Id=472
1)sheet_1
2)sheet_2
3)sheet_3
for example, tamcmd shouldn't apply the filter value to sheet_1, is there any way to avoid filter for sheet_1

In Grafana, how to build a data link to filter current dashboard when there is more than one variable?

I'm using Grafana v8.3.4 (a551d74b11)
I've a dashboard with many variables (filters). One of those is for exemple TransactionType.
I would like my charts to filter on click.
For example with a pie chart using TransactionType, I want to filter the TransactionType variable ,when I click in one of the element of the pie chart, by this element.
The closest feature I found is to use data link.
So far I tried in the pie chart the two data link there after.
The syntax is OK but the effect is not doing what i’m expecting.
a)
/d/${__dashboard.uid}/${__dashboard}?var-TransactionType=${__series.name}
For this one the data link apply the filter on TransactionType but clear all the other filters variables, even clear the All, so the dashboard is in error.
b)
/d/${__dashboard.uid}/${__dashboard}?${__all_variables}&var-TransactionType=${__series.name}
this one apply all filters first then add the TransactionType filter but, it keep the previous All value, so the filter become All + value, that don’t work, the dashboard is in error too.
==> Is there a way to keep all the existing variable filter unchanged and replace the value for one variable filter ?
move var-TransactionType=${__series.name} before ${__all_variables}

Filtering Based on a Different Column on Tableau

I'm wondering if something like this is possible.
Assume I have a data table like this:
I want a filter, where user picks France for example, but the data is filtered based on corresponding Continent value, e.g., all Europe records should show up.
Is this possible?
Sure, We can do that. If you add country to Filters shelf, Tableau will show only records of selected value. In our case, if we filter "France", Tableau shows only records which has France. So we will miss other Europe records. Parameter can handle this scenario. Follow below steps.
1.Create a String parameter
2. Create a calculated field
3. Add the created calculated field to Filters shelf then choose 'show'
4. Right click parameter then 'Show parameter control'. So it will works like filter
Method 2: Dynamically change parameter value
Pros: No hard coding, dynamically changes value based on selection. It works, well on dashboard
Cons: You will not have drop down for selection like filter. So, you need to click a chart to trigger the changes.
1. Create a String parameter with allowable values as 'ALL'
2.Create a calculated field
3.Create a parameter action in dashboard.
Dashboard-> Actions-> Add Action -> Change Parameter
In Change Parameter dialogue box, set target parameter as 'Parameter Name' and value field as 'Continent'
4. Add the calculated field to filter and select 'True' on other sheets
5. Final Dashboard looks like
Click the icon on the selector sheet. It will automatically filter data on data sheet.
Inside the selector sheet

dynamic column in tableau based on quick filter selection

I would like to know if it is possible to create a dynamic column in Tableau that will change based on quick filter selection.
Example:
Tableau sample screenshot
Try using parameters to select the category. This will give you step by step directions.
Doing this is as simple as it looks.
Assuming that you're using a query to fetch data, make sure the column on which you want to apply filter is available in the select statement.
Next, go to Sheets and drag the field into Filters section, right click on it and select Show filter
The filter will be visible on the right pane and can be used to alter the data depending upon the values / ranges selected.
Also, filters on Tableau give you a host of options to select from - dropdowns, radio buttons, check boxes, sliders etc etc...

How to refresh data when we add an option to an tableau parameter?

I have a Tableau report that has a parameter. I added a new calculation to the parameter. But when I try to refresh data on the report (upon clicking my new option in the parameter list) it doesn't refresh data in the report.
If you're using a parameter in order to filter data on your worksheet, then it must be part of a calculated field (that is then used as a filter) or used directly within a Top N filter as follows:
Using Parameters in Calculated Fields
Using Parameters in Filters

How to output the excel with filters enabled on columns in crystal reports

I have a crystal report where I need to mail the users the data in the excel as an attachment but with the condition that filters are enabled in each columns of the excel report .
If I have 10 columns in excel , user doesn't want to apply filter explicitly rather they want the filter already present so that they can filter based on any column .
If there is another better way of filtering the data on user side please suggest that too.
There is no way to do this from within Crystal reports. You can write an application, which will export the report to Excel, open the Excel file and add a filter.
There is a free version of R-Tag, which supports this feature. You can see it demonstrated here: http://www.r-tag.com/Pages/Preview_RTagAndBOE.aspx
Use the menu to jump to "Advanced report extensions" or go to position 5:26
If this works for you, here is the link to the free edition:
