I want to use Scalafmt in corporate network ( on a windows machine) using Nexus. I get below error if i run scalafmt
[error] failed to resolve Scalafmt version '2.4.6': X:\ProjectA\.scalafmt.conf
[error] (Compile / scalafmt) failed to resolve Scalafmt version '2.6.4': X:\ProjectA\.scalafmt.conf
[error] Total time: 87 s (01:27), completed 10-Jan-2023 10:56:22
I already have COURSIER_REPOSITORIES environment variable.
SBT Version: 1.6.2
scalafmt plugin: 2.2.1
version in .scalafmt: 2.4.6
Am I missing any resolver or any setting?
Please make sure there is scalafmt 2.4.6 in your corporate Nexus. Also there might be scalafmt but of older version.

I am using play 2.16.13 and Scala 2.12.6.
I am able to use SBT 0.13.8 and trying to upgrade to next version.
While using SBT 1.3.10, getting some error as below, Can someone please let me know the compatible version of SBT for the above mentioned play and scala.
[error] Server access Error: Connection timed out: connect url=https://repo.scala-sbt.org/scalasbt/sbt-plugin-releases/org.apache.commons/commons-parent/39/

[error] Server access Error: Connection timed out: connect url=https://repo.scala-sbt.org/scalasbt/sbt-plugin-releases/com.typesafe.play/run-support_2.10/2.
The issue is because there was a older sbt used and i upgraded to a newer one. After deleting the .ivy2 and .sbt folder, it started working with latest sbt
I am going through a coursera course and as explained, I am trying to create a new sbt project using the below command:
sbt new scala/hello-world.g8
In a Windows machine. I have sbt 0.13.8 installed. When executing the command it is giving the below error.
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: ignoring option MaxPermSize=256m; support was removed in 8.0
[info] Set current project to workspaces (in build file:/D:/software%20materials%20workspaces/WorkSpaces/)

I am not able to understand what the problem is. Help me out in understanding and solving this problem
I agree with Seth. It looks like the first version to include new is 0.13.13. I just came across this in creating new apps with more recent versions of the Scala Play framework (ex: 2.5). The github templating command line, giter8, is called via sbt new like this:
sbt new scala/scala-seed.g8
On my Mac I ran into a similar issue and fixed it by updating brew (used to install) then updating sbt:
brew update
brew upgrade sbt
First step was needed so the latest sbt could install. If whatever package manager you are using is out of date, it may result in the same problem. Not sure what Windows needs to install but this may help with others landing on this question.
Am trying to build Apache Spark 2.1.0 source, but get these errors below that baffle me...
Hadoop 2.8.0 was installed and is working
Scala 2.12.1 was installed in advance of executing the Spark install (Which seems to auto install Scala 2.11.8 ?!?)
My build line is:
build/mvn -Pyarn -Phadoop-2.7 -Dhadoop.version=2.7.0 -DskipTests clean package
Does anybody know why I get:
user#server:/usr/local/share/spark/spark-2.1.0$ sudo /usr/local/share/spark/spark-2.1.0/build/mvn -Pyarn -Phadoop-2.7 -Dhadoop.version=2.7.0 -DskipTests clean package

I tested downloading manually (To see if that was causing the errors), which downloads without issues:
https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/apache/apache/14/apache-14.pom
I also tested accessing the URL below, which also shows content:
https://repo1.maven.org/maven2
Hope somebody smart knows how to solve this...
I found out what the issue was:
I had to configure our proxy settings in the SETTINGS.XML in the directory:
/usr/local/share/spark/spark-2.1.0/build/apache-maven-3.3.9/conf
After editing the file, the build went without any issues :)
Hope this helps someone else running into the same issue...
EDIT: Just to be extra clear, having a working proxy configuration in bash only is NOT SUFFICIENT for the Maven Build to succeed. I was able to download all files from bash manually, but Maven needed the proxy configuration in the SETTINGS.XML file present as well...
I want to install Apache Spark for testing purpose. For that I found out that Scala and sbt are necessary. I downloaded scala msi and installed it. For installing sbt I tried various methods but am unable to do so. Can someone tell me what am I doing wrong. What I did is
Install Scala msi
Download sbt msi and install it.
Set sbt_home and path variable to the location where sbt is extracted. Then I opened cmd to check my sbt version by using sbt sbt-version I am getting the following error **unresolved dependency:
org.fusesource.jansi#jansi;1.11: not found
Error during sbt execution: Error retrieving required libraries (see C:\Users\ashish-b\.sbt\boot\update.log for complete log) Error: Could not retrieve jansi 1.11 **
Whats wrong in it?
I saw this issue as well when connecting to the internet via a corporate proxy. In this case, sbt couldn't download its dependencies.
We work with a proxy Maven repository for depedencies. Configure sbt to use a proxy repo.
Our sbt repositories file looks like this:
[repositories]
local
local-maven: file:///C:/data/maven_repo/
aaa-ext-ivy-proxy: http://nexus-ext.company.net:8081/nexus/content/groups/ivy-public/, [organization]/[module]/(scala_[scalaVersion]/)(sbt_[sbtVersion]/)[revision]/[type]s/[artifact](-[classifier]).[ext]
aaa-ext-maven-proxy: http://nexus-ext.company.net:8081/nexus/content/groups/public/
aaa-int-maven-repo: http://nexus-int.company.net:8081/nexus/content/groups/public/
Or you can also configure the proxy server directly for SBT, see this question.
I am having trouble installing Enclosure and getting it to work. I have followed this guide http://www.enclojure.org/gettingstarted and successfully installed Enclosure (I think). However, when I try to build the sample application (labrepl) I get a bunch of errors and a failed build. I haven't used Java in a long time and I've never used Netbeans, and the error doesn't seem very helpful with my limited knowledge of this domain. I'm using the latest Netbeans and the Enclosure URL from the guide. Since I am on Windows, I can't use git to clone the repo, so I'm not sure what to do from here.
Anyway, here are the error messages.

Thanks all.
the missing artifact is the artifact itself. What command are you using to build it? Try mvn clean install on the command line if everything else fails.
I had the same problem so I did a clean install of Netbeans followed by and install of maven both to no avail.
When I went to download the missing artifact I noticed that clojure-contrib version 1.2.0 was not available for download. Changing the pom.xml to look for version 1.1.0 resulted in a successful build.
Open the pom.xml and change
<dependency>
<groupId>org.clojure</groupId>
<artifactId>clojure-contrib</artifactId>
<version>1.2.0-master-SNAPSHOT</version>
</dependency>
to
<dependency>
<groupId>org.clojure</groupId>
<artifactId>clojure-contrib</artifactId>
<version>1.1.0-master-SNAPSHOT</version>
</dependency>
By the looks of things some additional functionality within 1.2.0 is needed for labrepl not sure from where to download it.
