Is there a way in Qliksense to set the first row of a given loaded dataset as header? - qliksense

So, basically, my dataset is looking like
F1
F2
F3
Header 1
Header2
Header3
--------
---------
---------
My goal is to use the PowerBI function that sets the first row as header but I'm not finding a way to do it in Qliksense. Does anyone know how I can get this done? Thanks in advance

Make sure that Embedded field names is selected when loading the data:
If its No field names then the field names will be "auto-generated"
(Hope that ive understand the question correctly)

Function to call the Name of a column in TABLEAU

I have a problem with Tableau.
I have a Dataset with some rows and some columns. I want to write a IFELSE structure where
The IF condition is that the Value of special field(fixed by a row and a column) is equal to the header of a column (it is every time equal to one name(header) of the different columns).
So to summarize: one value is every time equal to the name of a column and to find the column shall be the if-structure
Does someone know if there is a function to call the name (header) of a column? I didn't find it
Here is an small example, in which the Calculated_function choose the right price according to the Barcode. Everything in the first raw, is the header_name of the column below. enter image description here
Best regards
Jonas
You can work like this.
I created a sample dataset as given by you
Step-1: Connected With data in tableau. Clicked all columns having price (4 here), pivoted them so that they look like this..
Step_2: Create calculated_field like this
if [Barcode] = [Barcode_c]
then [Price] END
Step3: Filtered out null values from calculatedField and got a view like this which can be tweaked as per liking.

Arrivals based on database

I am trying to retrieve arrival rates from a excel spreadsheet in my model but I don't have the option to select the specific row and column i want. How can I ensure that a specific cell is chosen? (For example i want the value 5 corresponding to "limeConveyor" row and "red" column.
This is the sample spreadsheet
This is the properties window
Thank you in advance for your help! :)
Edit 1:
I am currently unable to select "red" from the
dropdown list of value column. Is my program bugged or something?
Maybe to clarify Felipe's reply: I suspect your dbase table is not setup correctly and doesn't match your xls screenshot.
First, load your spreadsheet into an AnyLogic dbase table using the wizard. It should then look like this (note the column properties: the column type is important):
Now in your source, you can easily load the required column-row combination and the valuer-dropdown allows you to select "red" if you want:
You can find the example model that I used for the screens here, hope this helps.

Transpose columns in another sheet to rows via Data > Validity dropdown

I have a collection of addresses on one LibreOffice Calc sheet (7 columns, 1st name, 2nd street and so one) and want to create an invoice template on another sheet.
I know how to retrieve and transpose a known row - the solution on this other question explains that: Transpose column on one sheet to row on another, with linking
However, this does not seem to work if I use Data > Validity to fill the first cell in the address area (7 cells below each other).
What I am basically trying to accomplish is a dropdown in the first cell where I select the name and it automatically retrieves the address from the other sheet into the cells below.
Is this possible or am I overthinking here?
I suggest:
Name the data in your first column (eg CName)
Name your array of data (eg Clients)
Set the Source for Validity Criteria to CName
Assuming the validation is in A1, in A2 and copied down to suit:
=VLOOKUP(A$1,Clients,ROW()-0,0)
The -0 is not required if the validation is in Row1 but is where an offset should be made if not.

Crystal Reports - Create subreport with column range [col1...col60] as datasource?

I am adept in both SQL and CR, but this is something I've never had to do.
In CR, I load a table that will always contain 1 record. There is a range of columns (like Column1, Column2 ... Column60). (bad design, I know, but I can't do anything to change that).
Thanks to this old design I have to manually add each column in my report like this:
-----------
TABLE
-----------
Column1
Column2
Column3
...
-----------
Now I would like to be able to create a subreport and create a datasource for it in such a way that [Column1...Column60] becomes a collection [Row1...Row60]. I want to be able to use the detailsection of the subreport to dynamically generate the table. That would save me a lot of time.
Is there any way to do that? Maybe a different approach to what I had in mind?
Edit
#Siva: I'll describe it the best way I can. The table exists out of 500+ columns and will only hold 1 record (never more). Because normalization was never taken into account when creating these tables (Objective C / DBF ages) columns like these: Brand01,Brand02,Brand03...Brand60 should have been placed in a separate table named "Brands"
The document itself is pretty straight forward considering there's only one record. But some columns have to be pivoted (stacked vertically) and placed in a table layout on the document which is a lot of work if you have to do it manually. That's why I wanted to feed a range of columns into my subreport so I can use the detail section of my subreport to generate the table layout automatically.
Ok got it... I will try to answer to the extent possible...
you need to have 2 columns in report that will show the 60 column names as 60 rows as 1st column and 60 column data as 2nd column. For this there are two ways that I can think of.
if columns are static and report need to be developed only once then though its a tough job manually create 120 formulas 60 for row names where you will write column names and 60 for data for respective columns and place in report since you have only one record you will get correct data. Like below:
formula 1:
column1 name // write manually
Formula 1:
databasefield for column1 // this has data for column1
Above will be one row in report like this you will get 120 formulas 60 rows and you don't need sub report here main report will do the job.
Since you are expecting dynamic behavior (Though columns are static), you can create view from database perspective or datatable (Please note I have no idea on datatable use it as per your convinience).
Create in such a way that it has 2 columns in table and in report use cross tab that will give you dynamic behaviour.
In cross tab column1 will be rows part and column 2 will be data.
Here also I don't see any requirement for sub report you can directly use main report. If you want sub report you can use aswell no harm since you have only 1 record

display items with column name and value in a list

I am currently trying to construct an iReport where i need to create a table that is not columned vertically but horizontally and cannot figure how to adjust the columns to do so. I have to create a nutrition panel, if you know of another way to make this im more than willing to adjust to do this. I wanted to use a table because there are items that do not nessicarily show up in a specified report (the nutrients at the bottom) that need to be somewhat dynamic.
The formatting needs to have support to have 2 columns with the nutrient name and percentage held inside Has anyone done this before or found any templates to assist with this? I do not need any assistance with the query or formatting the data other than the placement.
UPDATE: thank you alex for showing me how to format this data, apparently my query however doesn't work with the formatting, my example query is as follows:
SELECT
item1 as item1
item2 as item2
item3 as item3
from my_table
where my_table.id = P{Id}
SO my appended question is how do i display all the items by using the "as itemX" name and display the values based on that so it would be like this
item1 valueofitem1
item2 valueofitem2
item3 valueofitem3
The way the database is constructed i dont have a way of pulling these names as fields in the current data structure and that would be way too much work to fix just for this report frame.
I have looked and cannot find a "column name" function that seems to work
