I worked on media queries on my website today and all of a sudden my browser won't refresh the site but rather says "No internet. ERR_INTERNET_DISCONNECTED.
I am using Visual Studio Code with Live Server by Ritwick Dey.
Console warning says "DevTools failed to load source map: Could not load content for chrome-extension://cfhdojbkjhnklbpkdaibdccddilifddb/browser-polyfill.js.map: System error: net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND"
"VM10:6745 crbug/1173575, non-JS module files deprecated."
1 Issue: "Audit usage of navigator.userAgent, navigator.appVersion, and navigator.platform"
The site is on my laptop and I'm just working on it offline. What the heck is going on here?
I tried removing the queries.css file to see if that would make a difference. It did not.
Any link on the site will take me to this NO INTERNET page if I am in the responsive dimensions part of DevTools. Also when there is any edit to the html or css in VSC it immediately results in this NO INTERNET page appearing and I have to shut down the port and Go Live again.
I also opened the practice website that we are building for the class and the same thing is happening with that one as well. I have checked my html and css files on validator.w3.org and they have all checked out.
I tried changing the settings in VSC to set the browser to Chrome and also tried in Edge with the same results.
I removed the extension from VSC and reinstalled. No results. Please help!
I had to go into the settings in Devtools and reset.
open Devtools
click the gear icon at right side
scroll to bottom of settings
click "restore defaults and reload"
This made a whole variety of strange problems go away in Devtools and now it works as it should.
When I'm using Live Server extension in VS Code, my browser is refreshing every second, even though I do not make nor save any changes in my code file.
Why is that happening and how to solve this problem?
Can anybody help me? :)
I had the same problem. The issue was my (unrelated) script was running in background and writing to a file in the same directory. Live server detected these changes and sent the "reload" request to the browser.
I had this issue recently as well, and I spoke with a couple of people while testing various browsers.
We figured out that the issue was there was too much loaded into VSCode and it was looking through every single project/written code.
I closed VSCode down and then opened my repo for the particular project in terminal. I then used code . which opens VSCode, it opened only that specific repo/folders and then tried using Live server which worked perfectly with no refreshes happening.
When I try to open VS Code it shows a blank screen.

Then as suggested by some other answers I tried adding --disable-gpu to the target which is given as: "C:\Users\Yash\AppData\Local\Programs\Microsoft VS Code\Code.exe"--disable-gpu
On clicking OK. I have the following error.

Please tell me what to do.
I know I am late for this answer, but unfortunately nothing worked above mentioned answers. So here is my answer:
I uninstalled the VS code completely from my machine following steps from this link: https://debug.to/1074/how-to-uninstall-vs-code-completely#:%7E:text=1%20Go%20to%20Visual%20Studio%20Code%20path.%20%25LocalAppData%25%5CPrograms%5CMicrosoft,the%20.vscode%20folder%20at%20the%20below%20path%20%25UserProfile%25
I then disabled my anti-virus software. In my case, it was Quick Heal security (expired).
I installed the VS Code again on my machine, and IT WORKED!
I have been looking into this issue since 3 days! And finally, I am happy that it is working.
the file JS.NEMUCOD.AF prevents desktop from showing its contents
when antivirus quartines this files vscode doesnt work properly
I am VERY NEW to learning JavaScript, and I was looking for a simple way to test my basic JavaScript, without using the chrome developer tools inside my Chrome Browser. I thought it might be faster than hoping back and fourth to a browser and typing things in the browser's console.
I thought the extension "Debugger for Chrome" would aid in this, but I don't think it's what I want, or I can't figure out how to use it(very new to this)?
I am trying to uninstall it, and I just get a perpetual 'Uninstalling' icon, but it never actually uninstalls(pic attached below). It's been like that for a half hour in the background. I've tried restarting vscode and my PC, and I can't seem to get it out of my editor.

I even tried to delete vsCode completely, including the registry items I could get at, after reinstall I had the same error. Restarts of PC also didn't help. But for some reason, this morning after starting up my PC, I was able to remove the extension.
So my issue is resolved, not onto figuring out easier ways to debug with vsCode.
In XPages, when I try to open a .js or .jss file, I often get just the tab wirh "Client/Server JS Editor" and nothing else, i.e. the file doesn't load. From the Navigator Eclipse view, I can open the same .js or .jss file using any other editor without problems. And then, it sometimes works, but I don't know yet when it does and when it doesn't. The other Editors are okay by the way, .lss opens nicely.
This behaviour I get for a few weeks now. Since it started I reinstalled Notes a few times, I upgraded to FP8, I also reinstalled Windows10 and Windows10 upgraded me to the Creators Update (with the fix, in the end). There's nothing that explains to me why the file doesn't show up on the screen.
Anyone familiar with this? Could you please tell me how to repair this?
Thanks!!
It's a bug introduced with FP8 that is fixed in FP8 Interim Fix 1. See this document for download options for FP8 IF1.
As a workaround you can do a clean/rebuild of the nsf and then use the SSJS editor.
