Create a StatelessWidget which returns a MaterialApp, with your MainView widget as a children.
Like this:

And then you use runApp(MyApp()), you always need a MaterialApp or CupertinoApp widget to run your application. They configure several stuff for you.

if MainView() is your root class then you are missing MaterialApp
create a StatelessWidget or StatefulWiget and return a Material App

Flutter Web Navigation - Change container content based on named Route

I have been searching for tutorial for Flutter Web with Navigation Menu (Side, bottom or top) and named routes. Basically, I want to have the Menu and the MenuContent Container. I created a HomePage Container to display both Menu and MenuContainer.
I want to change the MenuContent content based on the named routes. I used the onGenerateRoute of the Material Page that calls the HomePage. It works, but it refreshes the entire HomePage when I change the route. Is there a way to just change the widget content of my MenuContent rather than loading the entire HomePage. Fill Icons with color in Flutter

I'm currently working on a Flutter project. I have been given Icons by the designer.
One of the Icons looks like this
Now I'd like to fill the inside of the Icon with color so that it looks like this
How can I achieve this in flutter? I really tried a lot. Like using ClipRect and other Classes. But none gave the desired results.

You can simply ask designer for filled icons too and show them when they are clicked.
So it goes like this:
if button clicked:
show filledIcon
else:
show unfilledIcon
You can code that in Flutter like:
icon:clicked? Icon(filledIcon):Icon(unfilledIcon)
This is the easiest way to do this.

Why is Flutter NotificationListener not catching my notifications?

I am having a problem with the NotificationListener in flutter. I've build a simple testing app because I am struggling with it.
After clicking on the FlatButton the Notification should be dispatched and then caught by the NotificationListener in onNotification.
So the expected console output would be:
"TestNot"
"Bubble"
But all I am getting is "TestNot".
So the notification is not caught by the listener.
Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

When you need a child to notify its parent, you can use NotificationListener.
But, when you need communications to be implemented inversely, in other words, a parent to notify its children, you can use ValueListenableBuilder

In flutter How to change FAB (Floating Action Button) custom animation Icon

I am new in flutter and now i am stuck to change FAB animation.Actually i am trying to before i press FAB that time it hadd add Icon and after press FAB it change icon close insted of add icon.

Flutter Web persistent header

With the introduction of flutter for web it has me trying to achieve a website style header that is persistent when using routes and across the entire app. Appbar doesn't appear to be the solution since each scaffold has its own appBar. I've created the header widget that's in a Column with the MaterialApp. However, this implementation feels wrong as everything should be a child of MaterialApp or CupertinoApp.
If the searchBar header can be placed within the MaterialApp and I'm able to use Navigator that's would be preferred. I'm really here for guidance and the "right" way to do this.

Though it's not using routes I was able to solve this using IndexedStack. This also preserves any scrolling I've done in the ProductsPage() when closing the search page. The AppBar is persistent and was able to keep the code to a minimum.
