Unable to open .erl file using "Erlang Editor" in Eclipse

I have installed Erlang OTP 25.0, erlide 0.56.0, Eclipse 2022-09 & Java 18. I have created a new Erlang project and module. When I tried to open the .erl file by clicking on "Open", I am getting an exception shown below.
Failed to create the part's controls.
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: The file's actual encoding doesn't match the declared one
at org.erlide.ui.editors.erl.ErlangEditor.filterUTF8Exception(ErlangEditor.java:979)
at org.erlide.ui.editors.erl.ErlangEditor.createPartControl(ErlangEditor.java:940)

.....
Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Argument not valid

However, I am able to open the .erl file using RightClick-->OpenWith-->TextEditor. But, it does not highlight the code based on syntax.

Compilation error: openFile: does not exist (No such file or directory)*

When I attempt to compile the Main.elm file (via Ctrl+F5) using Visual Studio Code, I receive the following error:
Error:
elm-make: c:\Users\Bizmonger\Documents\Visual: openFile: does not exist (No such file or directory)
Note:
I am trying to compile an Elm solution that I cloned from GitHub.
Here's the parent directory:
Here's the src directory with the elm files:
Why am I receiving this error?
The error message looks like it truncates the folder name after Visual, but I'm assuming you're in a folder called something like Visual Studio Projects. Try moving the project to a folder tree without a space in the name.

Cannot compile ts 2.2.2 file using Visual Studio Code

I cannot compile single ts-2.2.2 file, output I get is:
error TS5023: Unknown compiler option 'strictNullChecks'.
error TS5023: Unknown compiler option 'alwaysStrict'.
In the bottom-right corner VSCode displays TypeScript 2.2.2 which is the version I want to target. However, if I open my *.ts file, at the top of the screen a warning appears saying that "Version mismatch! global tsc (1.8.34) != VS Code's language service (2.2.2). Inconsistent compile errors might occur".
If I execute command 'where tsc' I get:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\TypeScript\1.8\tsc.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\TypeScript\1.8\tsc.js
How to excplicitly point the typescript compiler so that build process uses ts 2.2.2?

Progress developer studio - ignore error checking include files

In Progress Developer Studio (Eclipse):
How do you set up the project so it won't "compile" (check for errors) in .i (include) files separately?
Now we get a lot of errors because include files can not be run on its own. For example some variables that are used in the .i file are defined in p/w file - that will generate an error.
By default includes are not compiled. The errors shown on include files are caused by other sources (.cls, .p, .w) that failed to compile on that include.

Error Using MathFP class in Eclipse

I am tryin to develop a game in j2m using eclipse. To handle floating point I have downloaded the MathFp class. I did the following steps
i placed the mathFP.class file in net/jscience/math/kvm/ directory
1> Ziped the folder containig the downloaded class.
2> java build path->libraries->ADD jar->selected my zipped folder.
3> in the source code of my project i wrote import net.jscience.math.kvm.MathFP;
But when i compile it it shows NoClassDefFoundError
Ensure the relevant jar is checked in the "Java Build Path" -> "Order and Export" window.
