How do I reduce the area of the bar graph and increase that of the text in Grafana? (make labels more readable) - grafana

I have long strings as labels which is the full identifier of each deployment. How do I increase the area that the strings occupy and reduce the area for the bar graphs in Grafana.
After many attempts, this is the closest that I have come to displaying label strings in a way that is readable. Ideally a table would also be nice, but I was unable to show a table in which the labels form a column (it always took the row)

You can't change that size. I would rather focus how to make labels shorter. (I would say that "max_Sum/" is not necessary there)
IMHO: the best option is to have a table panel for this - yes, you wasn't not able to achieve it, but you only need right query, result format + transformation eventually.

How can I filter over a bar graph data while showing the average of the entire data set?

I need some help with the bar chart.
I currently have a reference line in place to mark the two averages so that they don’t move as I filter through data. When using the average line feature, the filters on the left change all the graphs on the dashboard in real-time (and thus the average with it). So, it seems like the average line is built from the data points currently on display rather than all the data points in our data set.
I want to show the averages on the bar graph as they are in the image (a constant for the whole data set) without having to manually set the average each time I add/update the data.
How do I make it so that when I change the filters, the bar graph changes but the average stays constant?

You can self-blend the data sources - duplicate the data source, but DON'T join any fields/set up relationships. The lack of join can make the secondary source act as a constant.
Alternatively create a FIXED calculation to calculate the average. This should also act as a constant - just make sure none of your filters are in context.

tableau adjust marks size using number

In Marks, click Size and there pops a slider where I can adjust the size of a shape. But how to accurately control the size, is there some property with numbers to accurately control it? I have two sheets to show something similar and I want to display exactly the same sized shapes.
If you want to ensure 'sizes' are the same across two worksheets, I'd suggest snapping the 'size' setting to the center on both, as this is the easiest option to select. You can then use a measure to set the size, if this is desirable, and then the difference in size will be relative on both worksheets.
There isn't a numerical value override for the size slider.
Ben is correct, there isn't yet a numerical value override for the slider. You can use parameters with Min/Max/Sum etc. and a variable to somewhat change the sizes but they have to have multiple entries per line. It is unfortunate that Tableau still doesn't get that people want both a 'relative' sizing system that uses numbers from the dataset and a 'static' sizing system that allows for shapes to be set to '11px' or something along those lines. Yes, you can control that kind of in the dashboard with a vertical and fill entire box etc; but that doesn't address the very real scenario where you want a user to be able to re-size on the fly. Just my two cents.

How do I display the total percentage and count together as a stacked bar chart without formatting all data to percentage values?

I asked this question (and this question) recently, and even though both have solutions, I am left with a new dilemma because each solution only works on an independent level (i.e. one solution won't work if the other solution is in place).
The problem is this: In Tableau, I discovered that by opting to display the data as a percentage of the total row value Analysis > Percentage of > Row, it resulted in the count value also being displayed as a number between 0 and 1 (i.e. percentage format, because of the aforementioned percentage-only setting).
Is there a way to achieve a 100.00% stacked bar which shows both percentage AND count, and which also isn't formatted to display all data as a percentage of the row total?
The screenshot shows what happens when both solutions are in place. Original screenshots are available within the body of each of the previous questions.
Note: I feel that the right way to go about it might be to normalise my data (bringing all values to a scale between 0 and 1), but being new to Tableau, I am not sure how this is achieved. If this is correct, I would appreciate a walkthrough.
Right click on the second SUM({Number of Records]) pill on the Label shelf, and clear the table calc. Edit your label if needed

How to change the Height of bar chart dynamically

I want to change the height of bar chart based on Data dynamically. I tried different options but didn't succeeded. Can grow property is disabled in Charts. Do we have any option to change the height of chart dynamically.
Changing height of graph dynamically cannot be done in CR. And there is a very simple reason why is that. If you compare can grow option with character fields and graph there are several problems when applying can grow option in graphs
what is the limit of graph (max height)
if graph can grow, how to display it on several pages
if graph is empty, what then (in character field its empty field)
...
I think you understand what i am trying to say you. Since you have need for "different" sizes of graph i suggest you make several "sizes" of your graph in different sections and then show/suppress only one depending on your needs (messy but effective) since can grow option doesn't exist for graphs.

GtkTreeViewColumn resizing based on contents

So it turns out that we'd like to use fixed height mode, because it's faster and it doesn't constantly try to update the treeview — we saw a significant decrease in CPU use with a table that, unfortunately, may contain a few thousand rows and some 20-ish columns.
Oddly enough, merely turning off autosizing on all the columns doesn't help, one needs to set fixed height mode too.
But of course, the cell contents are of varying length (they're text and numbers), and it would be nice to update the column size time to time (ie. when I know they should be updated, and not all the time like autosizing unfortunately does).
So what I need is being able to figure out that the newly inserted row / cell has insufficient size (I guess something to do with the GtkCellRendererText and Pango will come handy), and then resize the affected GtkTreeViewColumn using set_fixed_width. I've looked at the source of GTK+ to see what they do when autosizing, but couldn't really make head or tails of it. My main problem here is getting to the text layout and/or the cell size requirements from a given TreeView/ListStore/iter combination.
I use perl-Gtk2, but answers are welcome in any commonly used language.
