I don't know where Gem comes from, but I'm trying to install Jekyll from GitHub, and it says for start ups you need to install Gem. How do I install it?
I've looked up already on Google and on StackOverflow. The results didn't help at all. Thanks!
You need to have Ruby installed in order to use Gem. Depending on which OS you're using depends on the installation for Ruby but here is a link for windows.
Im working on ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS and i need to integrate ephesoft 4.0.2.0 to alfresco community so i have to install ephesoft.
While im installing i stack in a point that it can´t install its libreoffice dependency, i first deleted the libreoffice coming in my OS but realize that was not the problem, then i installed another one and again that was not the problem, so i don´t know what to do, the ephesoft installation can not move foward because of it.
Please if there is anyone who can help me with it, I will be gratefull.
Att, MGM
I had the same problem and try a lot of things and then found out that 16.04 is not supported by ephesoft, only 14.04 and 14.10 work.
I just bought a new MacBook Pro 2016 Edition about 2 weeks ago.
I installed a bunch of applications and software so far by copying them into Applications Folder as well as by following installer wizard.
Now today I tried to install Wireshark using installer wizard. I tried to install teamviewer too later today which also uses installer wizard. And both give me the same error.
I really need to resolve this because I need TeamViewer soon and I'm not finding anyone else facing this issue online anywhere.
Please advise.
Thank you
I also encountered such an error before,to solve it dont copy the pakage to your app folder, but instead open it with admin powers and that should fix the issue.
If you have purchased this software then you can call the tech support, else dont call them it can put you in danger for installing pirated software.
I looked everywhere. Didn't find a viable solution. But then reinstalled the OS. Which didn't affect any of my data or installed application. I got the whole Operating System the same way I left it. But resolved the issue I was facing.
So I have made GUI frontend for latex with QT5 using QT creator. The application works fine, but I'm unable to deploy it. The deploy option in build is grayed out. I have also tried following this guide but I can't even configure my QT to use static linking. I was able to configure the source, but when I try to run mingw32-make sub-src, it says nothing to do here.
I downloaded QT from here using the link Qt 5.0.1 for Windows 32-bit (MinGW 4.7, 823 MB). I have also downloaded microsoft visual studio express for Windows 8 to get tools required for building c++.
I also tried to install mingw32 manually. I have also installed Strawberry perl, because one guide told me to do that, but that did nothing.
I managed to fix this problem. There was one .dll. Reason why I didn't find it earlier was that my application did not need it by itself, but one of libraries I used was dependaple from it. The missing .dll was icuuc49.dll.
I've read the other posts about being unable to install software in eclipse, but I still can't seem to get anything to work. I've tried on both Eclipse Indigo and Eclipse Juno - neither of which seem to be able to connect to anything, yet I can open the web browser.
On my other computer, which was previously configured, it contacts the software sites perfectly fine. I can also use the internal web browser on both version of eclipse - navigating to www.google.com.
I've tried updating Eclipse using http://download.eclipse.org/releases/indigo/ and I have tried to install ADT with https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/.
I'm attaching an image of the error I'm getting. Also it appears I am getting 'permission denied'
Regarding the ADT, i couldnt get it to work with indigo for the life of me. After looking around a lot i realized that there are some comparability restrictions for the ADT plug in. The latest version of the ADT works on Eclipse Helios 3.6 or higher.

also make sure to do "run as administrator" when you start eclipse if you are going to install software.
I had the same problem, I'm not sure if it would help but here is what I did anyway:
Uninstalled AVG
Ran SFC /scannow
SFC found some corrupted windows files and repaired them
Restart
Not sure if uninstalling AVG did anything, but I saw it as a possible solution somewhere else.
I am now using MSE since it seems to be more compatible with my system...
Maybe you need to connect thru a proxy?
Check you browsers connections settings.
I've had the same issue before and it turned out to be due to a VPN connection I had open. It must have been trying to go via that, although no other applications have had that problem. So perhaps check that you don't have any static routes which are interfering.
