Eclipse deleted files - eclipse

Eclipse deleted my personal files.
I created a java project directly in my Desktop yes in the Desktop folder.
I judged that the project won't work so i decided to delete it but when deleting it i checked the "Delete project contents on Disk (cannot be undone)". When i saw my error i rushed to the task manager to end the process because i tried to close eclipse and it buged. A couple of Gbs of personal data were deleted in the Desktop.
I installed a couple of Data recovery softwares such as GetDataBack pro, Disk Drill and Recuva in other disk partition ,I ran some scans but i can't find my deleted files.
I need help to restore my data.

Unable to watch for file changes in this large workspace which has only two cpp files

I am trying to run the first example of zguide (zeromq). The project has two files, client and server, and I am doing this using vscode ssh remote on a RHEL7 machine.
Here is the structure of the folder and how it looks like in VSCode explorer:
ZEROMQ[SSH:remote_machine]
|_.vscode
|_tasks.json
|_c_cpp_properties.json
|_client.cpp
|_server.cpp
Once in a while I receive this warning:
Unable to watch for file changes in this large workspace folder. Please follow the instructions link to resolve this issue.
The instructions are of course telling me to increase the limit size which I don't think is the issue here with such a small project.
So, any ideas what's happening and how to resolve this?

Eclipse immediately undeletes deleted file

When attempting to delete log4j.properties Eclipse undeletes in the very next moment. The file is not used at the moment, no build process is running, the project containing the file is not being deployed. Yet the file is being restored immediately. Even when the IDE and all shell (ie. Git bash) sessions are closed and the file is not open anywhere, it can be successfully deleted using Windows Explorer or Total Commander, but the moment the IDE is started the file is there again.
The intention was to replace the old properties structure with an xml, but I couldn't even overwrite it as upon saving the original content got restored. Any advice on this?

Saving workspaces in Eclipse - behavior doesn't match the docs

In a big old, Android project, this morning I added a new activity class and a new XML layout file. A little while later I started getting some weird build errors so I decided to shut down Eclipse to restart it (because that often fixes weird Eclipse problems). But Eclipse failed to shut down and hung saving the workspace. I had to kill javaw to get it to die. See Eclipse leaving stuff behind that I can't kill for details.
When I reopened it I discovered that my new files were no longer in the project! The files still existed on the disk. So I looked up how to save the workspace explicitly in the Eclipse wiki and it said . . .
Note that the most essential information in the workspace—such as
newly created files and folders within Eclipse—are always stored
on disk immediately. Saving the workspace simply involves storing away
metadata, such as markers, and its in-memory picture of the projects.
The workspace is designed so that if a user pulls the computer power
cord from the wall at any moment, the resource tree will still be in a
good state so that the workspace will be able to restart in a
consistent state with minimal loss of information.
... obviously this wasn't true this morning so how do I prevent a repeat of this problem?
The files are saved immediately but the metadata contains the information about which files are in the workspace. If the close fails this may be lost. The files are still there but Eclipse does not know about them.
Using 'File > Refresh' (with nothing selected) will refresh all the information about the files in the workspace.

Eclipse files does not exist in workspace but does in remote system

I have a remote project in eclipse. Usually it works fine but sometimes, my explorer, says a file does not exist when I open it. The files does exist in my remote system explorer and in my local explorer file list, it just cant open.
Even if I refresh the project. Any suggestions.
Possible suggestions
You might be having your workspace in virtual machine, which keeps refreshing at regular intervals. Recommending to save your workspace in myDrive or myDesktop (yours) where it would be safe.
You eclipse might have synced up with version control( like svn/cvs) at remote. Always disconnect from your version control while you have with development work for the day. And i recommend you to make a local copy of remote repository in your desktop.

Recovering netbeans local history

I had a Virtual Machine inside which I had my PHP project. The project was developed using Netbeans, and I used its local history extensively.
My VM Ubuntu installation got corrupted, so I ended up creating a new VM. I was able to copy over most of the files from the VDI (I attached it to the new VM), but I can't figure out where netbeans' local history is saved. I copied over the Netbeans project folder, but the history doesn't seem to be saved here.
Does anybody know how I can recover the Netbeans history?
Local History is kept in the .netbeans settings folder. On my Windows 7 machine that is located at <HOME>/.netbeans/<NB_VERSION>/var/filehistory where HOME is my user home and NB_VERSION is the version of NetBeans (e.g. 7.0).
Unfortunately this is an all or nothing thing. There is no way, that I can tell, to find specific projects. So, if you have local history for projects on your host machine you run the risk of overwriting these.
If you're looking for it on a Mac, the file local history is located at /Library/Application Support/Netbeans//var/filehistory.
