Return object with Zend_Soap - zend-framework

I would like to return an object using Zend_Soap. I also want the object given in the WSDL file. But I can't get both to work together. It's either one or the other.
1. WSDL working, but object not returning
If in the phpdoc of my function on the soap server script, I write
#return Application_Model_Soap_Test
I can see it in the WSDL file
<message name="getPostcodeOut">
<part name="return" type="tns:Application_Model_Soap_Test"/>
</message>
but when I run the script, it returns an empty class:
stdClass Object
(
)
2. Get object, but wrong WSDL
If I change the server function's phpdoc info to
#return mixed Application_Model_Soap_Test
I get an object back with info:
stdClass Object
(
[name] => Fred
[age] => 40
)
but the WSDL file is wrong
<message name="getPostcodeOut">
<part name="return" type="xsd:anyType"/>
</message>
Any ideas? Thanks.

You need to pass a 'classmap' option variable in the client.
See both http://www.php.net/manual/en/soapclient.soapclient.php and http://www.php.net/manual/en/soapclient.soapclient.php about the 'classmap' option passed in the option array.
Basically it should be an array mapping your classes to the classes defined as the returned objects in the WSDL file.

Did you try to turn off caching?
In PHP how can you clear a WSDL cache?
I had the same problem. Every request I made returned me an empty stdclass, even though the WSDL was correct. After disabling caching it worked fine for me. Give it a try.

Passing encoded XML content in SOAP envelop request in Java application

I'm developing a Java application where I need to make a web service request using SOAP protocol. In that SOAP envelop request, one of the XML attribute/property called content will hold the XML file itself like below:-
<n1:envelope>
<message>

</message>
<sender agency="GS1" scheme="tGLK">ur.0</sender>
<recipients>

</recipients>

------
----

</n1:envelope>
I'm new to it and requires some assistance in clarifying my doubts. I'm using JDK1.8 and Apache CXF. How can I do marshaling/unmarshalling for this particular content attribute? Normal SOAP envelops request is easy to do it but not sure how to pass an encoded XML itself in SOAP request. Is there any reference links? Thanks
Your case is an example of including XML inside XML. Yes, XML could be included inside an SOAP(XML), there are two ways, though both means almost same thing.
Using CDATA encoding
<hello><El><E2><E3 attr="D1">Text</E3></E2></El></hello>
Converting the XML into text by replacing, < with <, " with "e; and > with >
<hello><El><E2><E3 attr="D1">Text</E3></E2></El></hello>
To
<hello>>El<>E2<>E3 attr="D1"<Text>/E3<>/E2<>/El<</hello>
Hence, to include the XML inside SOAP, while adding the XML element, you need to follow either approach while marshaling/unmarshaling.

How can I pass a parameter from XML Response tag in a new GET XML Request in Soap UI?

I have tried to find a solution in this community in different threads but yet to find one that I am looking for.
I am using SoapUI version 5.3.0 My Application have a couple of RESTful APIs. Initially I am sending json request to a WebService and getting back the following XML Response:
<StartDataExtractResult xmlns="http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/AriaTechCore" xmlns:i="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
<StatusCode>1</StatusCode>
<StatusText>success</StatusText>
<RequestNumber>397</RequestNumber>
</StartDataExtractResult>
As soon as RequestNumber tag is generated. I have to access to 2 more XML EndPoints (where the value of RequestNumber is appended) to know the Status as below:
A. http://quickextract.quickaudit.in/webs/quickextract.svc/GetExtractionDetails/396
B.
http://quickextract.quickaudit.in/webs/quickextract.svc/GetRequestStatus/396
As of now, I have created the 2 seperateTestSteps for the above mentioned XML Endpoints:
A. http://quickextract.quickaudit.in/webs/quickextract.svc/GetExtractionDetails/
B. http://quickextract.quickaudit.in/webs/quickextract.svc/GetRequestStatus/
Now I need to append the value within tag in the GET Request to get back a response from the WebServices.
Update:
I have created a 'Property Transfer' at Testsuite level as "TSreqNum". This 'Property Transfer' is getting updated as per the initial Response. But I am not sure how would I append "TSreqNum" to construct the complete GET Request as:
http://quickextract.quickaudit.in/webs/quickextract.svc/GetExtractionDetails/TSreqNum
Can anyone help me out please?
You can use the property within the URL of the GET request:
http://host:port/path/${#TestSuite#TSreqNum}
The URL gets updated with the property value.

WSDL empty <types> tag and YAWS SOAP support

I am trying to invoke a WebService through SOAP using Erlang and YAWS (yaws_soap_lib module specifically). The examples published on http://yaws.hyber.org/soap_intro.yaws work for me.
However, when trying to invoke my own web service YAWS fails. The first problem were partner links in the WSDL that were put there because of BPEL is befind this service. I deleted them (for now).
Unfortunately, I've come across another problem: mentioned WSDL has an empty <types> tag. Now, I am not very familiar with WSDL specification and SOAP so my question is whether it is
Erlang SOAP library issue that cannot handle empty <types> tag or
badly generated WSDL?
Does anyone know any better Erlang library for handling SOAP? I have taken a look at erlsoap but it does not support WSDLs.
EDIT: error caused by mentioned WSDL:
::error:function_clause
in function erlsom_add:add_model/2
called as add_model({model,[{type,'_document',sequence,
[{el,[{alt,'soap:Envelope','soap:Envelope',...},
{alt,'soap:Header',...},
{alt,...},
{...}],
1,1,1}],
[],undefined,undefined,1,1,1,false,...},
{type,'soap:detail',sequence,
[{el,[{alt,'#any',...},{alt,...},{...}|...],0,unbound,1}],
[],
{anyAttr,"lax","##any",[...]},
undefined,2,1,1,...},
{type,'soap:Fault',sequence,
[{el,[{alt,...}],1,1,...},
{el,[{...}],1,...},
{el,[...],...},
{el,...}],
[],undefined,undefined,5,1,...},
{type,'soap:Body',sequence,
[{el,[{...}|...],0,...}],
[],
{anyAttr,[...],...},
undefined,2,...},
{type,'soap:Header',sequence,
[{el,[...],...}],
[],
{anyAttr,...},
undefined,...},
{type,'soap:Envelope',sequence,[{el,...},{...}|...],[],{...},...}],
[{ns,"http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/","soap"},
{ns,"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema","xsd"}],
"http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/",[]},undefined)
in call from yaws_soap_lib:initModel2/5
For those who are familiar with the source code: The problem is the Xsds array returned by getXsdsFromWsdl function is empty.
My XML schema fu is a bit rusty, but as far as I can see the schema permits empty <types/> elements. That would suggest the first alternative, though it's hard to be sure. What error message do you get?
I would guess given the function clause error that erlsom is not handling some particular function input as being undefined. But I assume you've already validated your WSDL to make sure it's OK? Also, any chance of posting the WSDL somewhere so we can see it?
The issue has been resolved in latest YAWS version. In order to construct mentioned WSDL model following command has to be invoked:
yaws_soap_lib:initModel(WSDL_FILE_URL, [{include_fun, {erlsom_lib, find_xsd}}])

Sending and retrieving a constant field

I'm using Filemaker 11 to manage content over Custom Web publishing, with a json xslt sheet to convert the XML to a json format is there any way to add a parameter to the url, and have it come back down without modifying it?
I thought about globals, but from what I can tell if two requests were sent within a short enough amount of time, there could be a race condition, one overwriting the others global..
Parameters are passed to the stylesheet in <xsl:param name="request-query" />, whose structure must be specified in the documentation, but as far as I remember it's
<query action="..."> <-- the form action, i.e. the url -->
<parameter name="...">...</parameter>
</query>
The query namespace is http://www.filemaker.com/xml/query. FileMaker's own idea of passing custom parameters is to name them like token.1, etc., but it's possible to pass just any set of parameters to a XSLT that uses a process action (i.e. doesn't hit the database), sort the parameters out into what goes into the db and what stays, make an inline call, and then process the result and add the saved parameters back.
Note that you also can access the cookies and the headers, if you need. Also note that XSLT API is deprecated and won't be supported in future FileMaker version.

Parsing response from the WSDL

I've generated the web service client in eclipse for the OpenCalais WSDL using the "develop" client type. Actually I was following this post so not really going in detail. Now when I get the results this way: new CalaisLocator().getcalaisSoap().enlighten(key, content, requestParams);, I get the String object, containing the response XML. Sure it's possible to parse that XML, but I think there must be some way to do it automatically, e.g. getting the response object in the form of some list whatsoever?
The response from the SOAP interface is already parsed. The englighten() method returns an XML string. When you call it with SOAP, this response is wrapped within even more XML. The SOAP library already parses the outer SOAP XML and returns the result of the enlighten() method, which is also XML.
