Im trying to see the actual files that have been sniffed by fiddler. So I have a load of session and in them is for example some .js files. But when I click on the entry in fiddler I cannot seem to see the actual file. When I click 'textview' I just see a black green screen at the bottom right hand side of the GUI.
May be the text color is same as background color so you cannot see them.
Menu >> Tools >> Fiddler Options >> Appearance >> Set Readonly Color, then choose a white color.

I might be a bit dumb or something, but I just can't find the background image of the site:
http://www.deineschatzkammer.com
Can anyone find it or tell me how to find it easily? I have searched now with the Chrome DevTools and Firebug and searched the code for GIFs, JPGs and PNGs... :(
It is very easy to find the background image. Here are three solutions how to find it using Firebug (it works similar in the Chrome and Firefox DevTools):
Via the CSS panel
Switch to the CSS panel.
Type jpg into the search field.
Hover the matched url(...) to see a preview of the image.
If it's not the right one, hit Enter and repeat step 3.
Via the HTML panel
Right-click the background image and choose Inspect Element with Firebug from the context menu to see the element within the HTML panel.
Switch to the Style side panel.
Check whether one of the rules contains a background-image property.
If there isn't a background-image property containing the related image, this means the element containing the image is overlayed by the one you just inspected. So delete the element by pressing Del on the selected element or right-clicking it and choosing Delete Element from the context menu. Then repeat step 3.
Via the Net panel
Enable and switch to the Net panel.
Reload the page.
Hover over each listed image to find the one you're searching for.
There is a very useful tool built in chrome dev tool, that I have just discovered. I even don't know its name, and I am not able to find it on google. I would say it is a pixel inspector tool.
I find the following method how to use it:
1a. Inspect an html element with background color.
1b. Define background color of an element.
Click on the color picker.
Move your mouse over any element on the page (not on the dev tool)
See: http://skalar.darkware.hu/skalkaz/Chrome-Colorpicker.gif
My questions:
What is this tool name?
How to use it easily? Most of the time I don't care the color, but I want to inspect the pixels of an icon.
Is there a hotkey of this tool?
To open the Eye Dropper simply:
Open DevTools F12
Go to Elements tab
Under Styles side bar click on any color preview box
Its main functionality is to inspect pixel color values by clicking them though with its new features you can also see your page's existing colors palette or material design palette by clicking on the two arrows icon at the bottom. It can get quite handy when designing your page.
It is just called the eyedropper tool. There is no shortcut key for it that I'm aware of. The only way you can use it now is by clicking on the color picker box in styles sidebar and then clicking on the page as you have already been doing.
Currently, the eyedropper tool is not working in my version of Chrome (as described above), though it worked for me in the past. I hear it is being updated in the latest version of Chrome.
However, I'm able to grab colors easily in Firefox.
Open page in Firefox
Hamburger Menu -> Web Developer -> Eyedropper
Drag eyedropper tool over the image... Click.
Color is copied to your clipboard, and eyedropper tool goes away.
Paste color code
In case you cannot get the eyedropper tool to work in Chrome, this is a good work around.
I also find it easier to access :-)
Is there a shortcut for color chooser in NetBeans?
I found this same query on NetBeans website, it was said that this was possible but I can't find an actual answer how to do it.
I mean this: when I am in a CSS file and I am editing a property that involves a color, the color chooser pops up automatically. I would like to have the color chooser pop up on demand when I am editing any file (e.g. a PHP file). It would be very helpful.
I already looked in Options -> Keymap and there seems to be no shortcut containing the word "color".
Thanks.
In the editor, click the text representing the color (you don't even have to highlight the whole thing), then hit Ctrl+Spacebar.
While it's not ideal in Netbeans 8.0.2 you can do the following:
open any CSS file that contains a rule with a property that takes colour as value and place the cursor inside the declaration block of that rule,
in the top menu click on Window -> Web -> CSS Styles,
click on the dropdown with colour values and scroll right to the top,
click on Choose Color and a colour chooser will appear.
You can now close the CSS file (if you like) and open any type of file - the CSS Styles window will stay and you can repeat the above procedure starting from step 3.
P.S. Netbeans has a bug tracker that is not just for reporting bugs:
Issues = Bugs, Feature Requests, and Enhancements
I've been trying to change the background color for the 'quick-fixes' pop-up (the pop up that lists ways to fix an error) in eclipse juno. Currently the color is black and the text is blue which makes it very hard to read.
I cant find the correct way to change the color. Please help. Its really annoying to squint and have to read blue text on a black background.
This was driving me nuts as well, here is the fix.
Go to preferences.
Search for "Annotations"
for each Annotation Type:
if "Text as" == "Highlighted" and Color == black:
Set the color to light or uncheck "Text As"
In this screen shot, I am fixing Occurrences.
The problem I show to the left is the "Matching Tags" annotation which had the same problem.
You can change the color of the text in the pop-up.
In windows you can go Control Panel, search for colors and metrics and then select Change window colors and metrics. In the item menu select Hyperlinks and change the Color.
EDIT: This fix is valid for Windows 7. Windows 10 does not have the option to change Hyperlinks color.
Right Click anywhere in the Editor Window, and at the bottom of the context menu select Preferences. This will bring you into Java -> Editor. At the bottom ofthat window select the element colors you wish to change, in your case Parameter hints background and Parameter hints background or Completion overview background and Completion overview foreground, depending on which one it is you are having a problem with.
From what I found, I do not think you can change the color. I am not willing to go to Eclipse source code and find it but here's what fixed it for me. Not perfectly but to a level I can use the quick fix. In my case, the background and foreground was same. (Luna, Dark Theme, Using Solarized Editor Theme).
Go into the Preferences (Window -> Preferences)
Choose General -> Appearance from the left menu
Uncheck the checkbox Use mixed fonts and colours for labels
The detail is in this post. How to change the highlight color in autocomplete box in Eclipse
I was playing around with PowerShell today and added a background color to all text ...now I want it gone!
Anyone know how to do that, as a side note I was trying to change the color of the whole blank area that fills the application (formerly known as the background ...good job Microsoft) so if you know how to do that please do share.
Click on the icon in the upper left, select Properties, go to the Colors tab.
