Is it possible to add a web reference to my project in Visual Studio 2012? In Visual Studio 2010 it was possible by clicking the "Advanced" button in the "Add Service Reference" dialog, as it is written on this page :
Add Web Reference in Visual Studio 2010
But in Visual Studio 2012 there is no section "Compatibility" in the "Service Reference Settings" and no "Add Web Reference" button in this dialog. I want to use SOAP web-service, but it works correctly only when I add it as Web Reference (in .NET Framework 2.0 compatibility mode. If I Add it as usual service reference I have an exception during using this service).
How to add old-style web reference to my project?
Or how to use my web service with new style of service references?
Thanks

Hope this helps!
Visual Studios 2013 uses newer version of .NET Framework 4.5.1, which will not work with this web service http://wsf.cdyne.com/weatherws/weather.asmx and others.
but using .NET 3.5 works!
so, if your starting a new project select from drop down menu .NET Framework 3.5
or
if you are already in a project and want to change Framework
1 Click [DEBUG] > '<YOUR_PROJECT_NAME>' Properties
2 Click [Build] and change target Framework
3 Click [OK]

In Eclipse's Project Explorer view there is a project named "JSR-109 Web Services" that can not be deleted or removed.
I did not create this project. It came to Project Explorer by itself.
How do I remove this "JSR-109 Web Services"?
Select "Customize View..." on the Project Explorer view's menu (on the view's upper-right upside-down triangule button).
Select the "Content" tab and uncheck "JSR-109 Web Services Index".
Delete the folder named RemoteSystemsTempFiles in your workspace
JSR-109 Web Services is not a project. Its an implementation standard that ensures that your Web Service maintains the Standards and it (your Service) interoperate with other service there is..
Follow the link for more details.
Eclipse Documentation
and the following link has a work around on removing the same.
uncheck JSR-109 Web Services
really uncheck JSR-109 Web Services
I'm trying to create a payment plugin in NopCommerce 3.30
I read "How to write a plugin" and "How to code my own payment method" links to create my plugin. I follow all of that steps to write my plugin. When I went to "Configuration->Payment->Payment Methods" page on admin panel, I saw only default payment plugins.
Could I ignore anything unconsciously?
Ensure that you specified right output path for your plugin (right click on plugin project -> Properties -> Build -> Output path). It should look like here: ....\Presentation\Nop.Web\Plugins\YourPluginName\
And check that you specify right SupportedVersions for your plugin in Description.txt file.
Ensure that your plugin has been reloaded and installed in /Admin/Plugin/List.
This one caught me as well.
For prosperity - You need to first go to "Configuration->Plugins" from the Administration page, locate the plugin, and click the INSTALL button before it is available in the "Payment Modules" list.
(The documentation is not entirely clear and misses this step)
I have been having this problem with Visual Studio 2012(2010). My service references are being turned into folders when run project in Expression Blen. Also when this happen, I can't see "update service references" in popup menu when right click on service name.
Please see this web page.
I'am having problem with team foundation server.(http://tfs.visualstudio.com/). I created project from there(http://tfs.visualstudio.com/). And I click Open New Instance of Visual Studio.
And Team Explorer is look like:
Then i click File>New Project and clicked Add to Source Control and selected My project name in TFS. So i uploaded my project and it added to my tfs project. But i dont know how can i share my project in tfs. I tried this:
Entered my friend live id(hotmail). Then he signed up and he did same steps like me. But how can he download project that already exist? I did not see specific setting for that.
What i must supposed to do?
He must use the menu File > Open > Team Project. Visual Studio will probably ask for a TFS server, when you set the server URL, he will be able to see the collections and projects, then, he can open the project.
Or, on the window you showed (Team Explorer), he can click on Source Control Explorer and open the solution from there.
Visual Studio will ask for a mapping directory.
If you are trying to connect to Team Foundation Service via VS 2008 following steps have to be done,
Install VS 2008 SP1, Team Explorer 2008 and GDR update (VS90SP1-KB2673642-x86)
Connect manually to Team Foundation Service
Team Explorer -> Servers -> Add -> type
https://[YourAccount].visualstudio.com/DefaultCollection
Make sure to add /DefaultCollection.
I have problem with configuration GXT with GWT Designer. I have all new releases of Eclipse, GWT plugin and GXT and cannot configure GXT to work with GWT Designer. I setup my project so that I can compile my GXT project and run it in browser.
However I can't design in GWT Designer. I don't see any GXT widget in GWT Designer.
All forums reffer to Google Web Toolkit -> Configure for using Ext-GWT (GXT) but I don't have this option.
I have done all steps defined in setup.txt of GXT.
The only thing that is not working is GWT designer do not see GXT widgets.
Regrads,
Folks:
It simply appears that GXT 3 is not supported in the latest version of Windowbuilder. Period. All the instructions given in this thread work well for GXT 2, but GXT 3 has radical differences (different styling mechanisms, for one thing!) that Windowbuilder cannot seem to handle.
This is a bug that needs to be fixed in Windowbuilder.
I see this is an old article, but might still help people with the same problem.
If you right click on your gwt.xml file, the options are visible, if you click on your project, the options are not visible. That's the problem I was having.
I had this problem. I solved by installing:
(If you are using Eclipse Indigo)
http://dl.google.com/eclipse/inst/d2gwt/latest/3.7
Just check for the version you have. That should do the trick.
"select your GWT module file and right-click to select the Google Web Toolkit > Configure for using Ext GWT (GXT)" http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/tools/gwtdesigner/features/gwt/gxt.html
Read setup.txt in ext-gwt zip:
STEP 1 -> Create a Google Web Application Project project within Eclipse.
Copy the contents of the /resources folder in the download to a {foldername} location within your war folder.
Substitute {foldername} with the name of the folder you've created for resources within your war folder.
STEP 3 -> Add the following stylesheet to your host page.
STEP 3b -> If you are using Charts, add the following script to your host page.
STEP 4 -> Add the following entry to you projects module xml file.
STEP 5 -> Eclipse Setup (should be similar for other development environments)
These instructions assume you have a existing project and launch configuration.
Add gxt.jar to the project.
a. Right click on project name in 'Package Explorer'.
b. Select 'Properties' from content menu.
c. Select 'Java Build Path'.
d. Select 'Libraries' tab.
e. Add the gxt.jar either with 'Add JARs...' or 'Add External JARs...'.
Add GXT jar to launch configuration.
a. Choose Run / Open Run Dialog.
b. Select your appropriate launch configuration under 'Java Application'.
c. Select the 'Classpath' tab.
d. Add the gxt.jar to the classpath.
that happened to me too. I had to install WindowBuilder Pro from the update site (you can found it here) and after that the "Google Web Toolkit > Configure for using Ext GWT (GXT)" option appeared.
Support for 3rd party components like GXT and SmartGWT is only available in the full version of GWT Designer available here...
http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/tools/download-gwtdesigner.html
Install the full version and then follow the instructions here...
http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/tools/gwtdesigner/features/gwt/gxt.html
I just had the same problem. The only way I got it working is this:
I installed the full version of GWT designer as recommended by Eric Clayberg's answer (http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/tools/download-gwtdesigner.html)
However, the instructions at http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/tools/gwtdesigner/features/gwt/gxt.html didn't work, because there simply isn't any "Google Web Toolkit > Configure for using Ext GWT (GXT)" for me either.
So instead, I created a new Project, using: New Project > WindowBuilder/GWT Designer/Model/GWT Java Project:
I went through the Wizard, clicked Finish, and then it asked me about a GXT installation. The important thing is: You must select this now, I don't see any way to add this later. So navigate to a GXT installation folder. In that folder, I had to rename my "gxt-*.jar" to "gxt.jar" first, otherwise it couldn't be found (!).
Now, when opening a Java file using "Open With > GWT Designer", and selecting the Design view tab at the bottom of the editor - voila, the GXT menus appear.
