I was going through the videojs player to implement the amazon cloudfront with dynamic bit rate switching, but could not find any supporting doc. So could anyone please guide us on how to implement cloudfront on videojs player with dynamic bitrate switching.

I have m3u8 url which has around 8-10 other url according to the bandwidth.
Question how to implement it in ios. Do we have a specific player which will automatically change the bandwidth or do we have to manual do it.
If manually how to do it?
iOS devices support HLS natively, which is Apple's Adaptive Bit rate streaming protocol.

I'm interested in setting up a streaming video server (perhaps on a cloudfront server) with videojs. I understand that flash video can be streamed, however, is it possible to stream video using videojs and a different codec? (like h246). I tried looking through the videojs documentation and forums but did not find any additional info.
Video.js has limited support for RTMP streaming in Flash, but hopefully more in the next few months.
HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) is the most supported streaming format for HTML5 (iOS, Safari, latest Android). Video.js can support that on the devices that support HLS natively.
I think you would have to transcode the h264 file on the fly to get the effect you want. Subsonic is a program which will read your file structure, display your videos and music in a webui, transcode the audio/video and stream it--but it uses jwplayer, not videojs.
However, it is opensource, so if you want to try to modify that, I'm sure it would be possible.
So generally, I want to make an app which has video chat functionality for iPhone. But after many searches, I am still not able to find any successful results. Is there any public or even for that matter, private API available for doing this on iPhone??? If you have an YES answer, please help me.

ALSO : The suggested method I have found is via HTTP Live Streaming. But, in that too, I have multiple doubts.
1.) I need to find how do I upload my video from iPhone to the HTTP server from where I would be broadcasting?
2.) Can you please post something related to setting up the server? How do I feed the video to the FFMPEG Server?
Mainly, I need to find the upload method. I am right now simply sending hex-code in the form of NSDATA to the server and I am stuck there. The main problem is, It is live. How do I handle that?

HTTP live streaming is primarily an approach for adaptive streaming from server-to-client. For client-to-server rather go for traditional streaming. There exists an open library for streaming, see this question.
Whilst it is possible to facetime to do two-way chat, it is not certain that you will be able to using public iOS APIs. That said, I have implemented one-way live streaming for iPhone and the difficult part was not the core streaming itself, but encoding of the payload. You will be able to do H264 in hardware and AAC / iLBC in software.
How you want to feed this to the FFMPEG depends on your transport, possibly changing from 'file' H264 frames to 'streaming' H264. Check out the H264 frame types if you implement frame dropping; reconfiguring the H264 encoder on-the-fly is not possible to my knowledge, but restarting with fresh parameters typically does not take more than a second or so.
Did you attempt to play back a live resource while capturing? That is a good starting point. If you come across an open API for H264 encoding, please post it here ;-)
Could anyone shed light upon how to capture a live video which is on a desktop and integrate the same to my iphone, so that i can view same live video on my iphone. I am stuck as to where to start. If anyone could give technical info would be greatly helpful.

The new QuickTime X in Snow Leopard has support for a new feature called HTTP Live Streaming, which works with clients including the iPhone. There are several examples in the ADC of how to capture from the screen. You would then need to run it through a compressor (most likely H.264) and use a web server (such as the built-in Apache) to distribute the content over the network.
