Error when deploying custom module sugarcrm - sugarcrm

I encountered an error in sugarcrm while deploying a custom module.
ERROR: rmdir_recursive(): argument custom/modulebuilder/packages/PointsRedemption is not a file or a dir.
Please help.

Probably a permissions issue, try sudo chmod -R 777 custom/modulebuilder to see if that's what's going on. A better permission setting is probably 755 with the user/group matching whatever the webserver is running as, usually something like www-data:www-data.

Mongo Procedures Dependencies Cause Neo4j Connection Issues

I am using Neo4j on a remote server (ubuntu 20.4) and would like to stream data from MongoDB to Neo4j. I followed the instructions here. I tried both ways by using the following approaches:
Use the following command:
sudo wget https://github.com/neo4j-contrib/neo4j-apoc-procedures/releases/tag/4.3.0.7/apoc-mongodb-dependencies-4.3.0.7.jar -O /mnt/neo4j/plugins/apoc-mongodb-dependencies-4.3.0.7.jar
Note that the plugins directory has a different path due to mounting. I changed the path in the configuration file accordingly. This should not be causing any problems because I had the same problem before mounting.
Also, I tried to match the same release as the apoc-core file (4.4.0.3) in a separate attempt with no better outcome.
Changing the ownership and read permissions as follows didn't help either:
sudo chown neo4j:neo4j apoc-mongodb-dependencies-4.4.0.3.jar
sudo chmod 755 apoc-mongodb-dependencies-4.4.0.3.jar
Use the following commands:
sudo wget https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/mongodb/mongo-java-driver/3.12.11/mongo-java-driver-3.12.11.jar -O /mnt/neo4j/plugins/mongo-java-driver-3.12.11.jar
sudo wget https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/mongodb/mongodb-driver/3.12.11/mongodb-driver-3.12.11.jar -O /mnt/neo4j/plugins/mongodb-driver-3.12.11.jar
sudo wget https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/mongodb/mongodb-driver-core/4.7.1/mongodb-driver-core-4.7.1.jar -O /mnt/neo4j/plugins/mongodb-driver-core-4.7.1.jar
sudo wget https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/mongodb/bson/4.7.1/bson-4.7.1.jar -O /mnt/neo4j/plugins/bson-4.7.1.jar
Note that I used the latest versions. I tried the versions available in the instructions as well with no difference in the outcome.
Now when restarting the neo4j.service, I no longer can access the cypher-shell nor the browser. In the first case, I get "connection refused", while I get a blank page in the browser case. When I check the status, the service is active and running. But I noticed that it is missing a line compared to when I don't have the dependencies.
Starting...
This instance is ServerId{#}
======== Neo4j 4.4.5 ======== (This line is missing with the dependencies downloaded!)
When I delete the dependencies from the plugins directory and restart, everything goes back to normal and functions as expected. One more thing to note is that apoc-core procedures work just fine!
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong here or if there is some sort of underlying problem!

Error: EACCES: permission denied, only in VSCode using Remote SSH

I can find plenty of references to this error, but they all point to permission issues, however my permissions appear to be fine as I can modify this folder using nano and SSH.
I'm trying to use RemoteSSH with a custom user account, user
The server is running Debian 11 and nginx
I have key based auth and I connect to the server. When I try to create or remove a file in the web folder (/var/www/html) I get this error message Error: EACCES: permission denied, <what I was trying to do, i.e. rename a file, or delete a file>
I can do all of these things using a standard SSH connection (openSSH built in to Windows 10)
The owner of /var/www/ is set to www-data (recursively)
user is a member of the group www-data
Do I need to do anything in VSCode to update permissions? Am I missing something else?
Here are the exact commands I used:
sudo adduser user www-data
sudo chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www
sudo chmod -R 0775 /var/www
OK I did a bit more Googling right after posting this, and I was able to fix this by deleting the .vscode-server folder in the home directory.
https://github.com/microsoft/vscode-remote-release/issues/3399#issuecomment-922935448
I'm not sure if there is an easier way to fix this without doing so, or having to do that every time permissions are changed.

Permission problems with Drupal directory

I really suck at permissions. I recently installed Drupal on my Ubuntu server and it was working like a charm. Suddenly it got stuck, and I got
There's no internet connection
error on Google Chrome and
Server not found error
on Firefox. However my Apache is still working.
My Drupal is located at /var/www/html/drupal test. However when I type cd drupaltest I got a permission denied error. I changed the permission with:
sudo chmod 660 drupaltest
After that I could get into that directory, but not any directory inside. I am constantly getting permission denied error. I tried adding the -R option, drupaltest/*, and even giving 770. The owner is my current user on the machine, but I still have no idea why I can't access the subdirectories.
Try chown -R owner:group /dirname

mkdir(): Permission denied in Yii2

After installing yii2, I got the following error.
Some suggests that I should give full permissions to IIS_IUSRS but still to no avail.
You shouldn't need to set the permissions to 777, that is a security problem as it gives read and write access to the world.
It may be that your apache user does not have read/write permissions on the directory.
If you use Ubuntu do this :
Make sure all files are owned by the Apache group and user. In Ubuntu it is the www-data group and user
chown -R www-data:www-data /path/to/webserver/www
Next enabled all members of the www-data group to read and write files
chmod -R g+rw /path/to/webserver/www
The php mkdir() function should now work without returning errors

capistrano deployment with use_sudo=true - permissions problem

i am trying to do a deployment with capistrano to newly installed Ubuntu server
i am deploying to directory /var/www, owned by root, so i need to set use_sudo to true
while i execute commands with run "#{try_sudo} command" without problem, svn checkout doesn't work with sudo prefix
i try
set :deploy_via, :export
and it throws
Can't make directory '/var/www/pr_name/releases/20091217171253': Permission denied
during checkout
i imagine adding "try_sudo" prefix to "svn export" would help, but where can i edit the one it uses in deploy_via?
--
if on other hand i don't use use_sudo, and set /var/www/ directory ownership to myuser, i still cannot deploy - some of my deployment commands set folders ownership to apache user www-data and then i get something like:
changing ownership of `/var/www/pr_name/current/specificdirectory': Operation not permitted
which, if i understand correctly, has to be done with sudo
Using the sudo helper solved the problem.
Here is an example:
run "#{sudo} chown root:root /etc/my.cnf"
Try cap deploy:setup
