java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Lorg/openspaces/core/GigaSpace - eclipse

I'm trying to use Gigaspaces with Spring! I have two eclipse projects. A spring rest-service that consumes a space of Gigaspaces (the other eclipse project). I have a master eclipse project where I have both projects.
My problem is that I want to deploy my rest-service on my Tomcat v7.0 it crashes and show me:
org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'clientController': Injection of autowired dependencies failed; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Could not autowire field: com.payulatam.prototype.services.IClientService com.payulatam.prototype.controllers.ClientController.clientService; nested exception is java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Lorg/openspaces/core/GigaSpace;

Seems that tomcat can't found gigaspace's jars. But I'm including them on my pom.xml:

Any idea how to fix it?

You specified that com.gigaspaces will be provided by the server or executor service you are using when you put <scope>provided</scope> in the dependency declartion for com.gigaspaces, which you are missing on the classpath as per the stacktrace said.
The most probable case here is that it is not bieng provided by the server, so try to delete/change the line <scope>provided</scope> to <scope>compile</scope> in your pom for the dependency declaration for the Gigaspaces library; So maven will be the one that provides it.
Help from: Difference between compile and provided scope

Change this section in your pom.xml
<dependency>
<groupId>com.gigaspaces</groupId>
<artifactId>gs-openspaces</artifactId>
<version>${gsVersion}</version>
<scope>provided</scope>
</dependency>
To
<dependency>
<groupId>com.gigaspaces</groupId>
<artifactId>gs-openspaces</artifactId>
<version>${gsVersion}</version>
<scope>compile</scope>
</dependency>
Just for your own understanding before you make the changes check in your deployed war file if you have the gs-openspaces.xxx.jar file. You will not see it there. Now make the changes rebuild and redeploy and again check this time you should see the jar file.

I am totally new in Java , and trying to install Cucumber.
I have downloaded JDK and JRE and their versions are: jdk-12.0.1 && jre1.8.0_211 and set the environment variables.
I have also downloaded Eclipse

I am not sure how to fix it
maven-compiler-plugin by default will compile your project using Java 1.5 which is where m2e gets its information.
Your effective pom.xml will implicitly use the default settings in the maven-compiler-plugin pom.xml.
That's why you have to explicitly declare the maven-compiler-plugin in your project with something other than 1.5.
Add this to your pom.xml
<build>
<pluginManagement>
<plugins>
<!-- Default java version was 1.5, to change the default version added this plugin -->
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>
<configuration>
<source>1.8</source>
<target>1.8</target>
</configuration>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</pluginManagement>
</build>

Wrong Maven Exception

I am trying to make a new project in eclipse using Maven.
And I used simple "struts-archetype-blank" template of struts.
There is no spring dependencies in it. Still I am getting missing spring artifact error.
Is there any way to resolve the same? Or I am doing something wrong?

You are using struts2-junit-plugin which has transitive dependencies to Spring. Those dependencies are also available from the central Maven repository. For example spring-beans-4.1.6.RELEASE
Why the resolving of dependencies is not working cannot be seen in your question. It could be everything from misconfiguration (e.g. settings.xml, private repository, authentication) to network problems (e.g. private repository not reachable).
Your log4j2 version is also wrong. All log4j2 versions start with 2.the current version is 2.8.

WildFly 10.0 - NoClassDefFoundError on deploy for classes defined in pom

Newbie to WildFly
WildFly 10.0
JDK 1.8
Win 8
Eclipse Luna
I'm converting a Glassfish 4.0 app to WildFly 10 and running into all sorts of problems. I finally gave up on trying to configure it to use log4j. Now, I'm getting deployment issues where WildFly class loader appears to ignore jars I have listed in my pom.

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/servlet/ServletContextListener

org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoaderListener
</listener-class>
</listener>
<listener>
<listener-class>
org.springframework.web.context.request.RequestContextListener
</listener-class>
</listener>
I have also added spring-web and common logging in my tomcat classpath in eclipse
There are no build errors , but while running on tomcat 7 im getting the following error,
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/servlet/ServletContextListener

These are my settings,
There is a servlet-api jar in tomcat lib
In my Pom.xml I have given
<dependency>

<scope>compile</scope>
</dependency>
and
<dependency>

I have tried commenting out the entry in pom.xml also this also but no luck.
Any help will be appreciated.

and the other thing I have noticed is the jar files which gets copied during deployment. Im running the project in tomcat 7 in eclipse. This is the entries in deployment assembly
/src WEB-INF/classes
/WebContent /
JSF 2.1 (Apache MyFaces 2.1.5) WEB-INF/lib
is it ok? or do I have to add maven dependencies also?.but on adding maven dependencies a error mark appears on the project and on maven -> project update. The cross error and the maven dependency entry also disappears on update. Wel, I am trying to integrate JSF with spring
Thanks,
Pegasus
As a standard practice you should not bundle any servlet related jars with your war file , let your app server (in your case it is tomcat) provide the required classes at runtime.
Change the scope to provided ,bundle your war file again and try to deploy.
<scope>provided</scope>
The servlet-api is a classic example of a dependency which should have the provided scope, see Introduction to dependency mechanism.

maven don't work with me, is there any dependency missing?

I'm new to maven, I'm using it with eclipse on Windows 7. And I'm trying to use maven with my test project and here is my pom.xml file :
<project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0 http://maven.apache.org/xsd/maven-4.0.0.xsd">
<modelVersion>4.0.0</modelVersion>

<plugin>
<artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>
<version>3.0</version>
<configuration>
<source>1.7</source>
<target>1.7</target>
</configuration>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>

Every time i try to build i get this error :
SLF4J: Failed to load class "org.slf4j.impl.StaticLoggerBinder"
SLF4J: Defaulting to no-operation (NOP) logger implementation
SLF4J: See http://www.slf4j.org/codes.html#StaticLoggerBinder for further details
I can see the org.slf4j.impl.StaticloggerBinder does exits in the dependencies , why can't it be loaded ? , am I missing some jar files or is there a version problem.
Any help please?
You're missing an actual logging implementation
Try adding the following dependency :
<dependency>
<groupId>ch.qos.logback</groupId>
<artifactId>logback-classic</artifactId>
<version>1.0.11</version>
</dependency>
