I successfully wrote a powershell script to pull and apply permissions from one printer to all the other printers on the server now I need to pull permissions from the print server and apply them to all printers on the server. See the attached screenshot for clarification. Through all my research I haven't found anything that will help me out.

Is there any way to login to remote machines using powershell script earlier i tried with RDP automation but stuck with legal notice banner, my ultimate goal for login remote server using powershell is to make my entry in the server and it should reflect in available when checking reports for last logon users in server, i tried with establishing pssession but it doesn't show my entry.
Any ideas really helpful!! Thanks in advance
I'm attempting to use the wget program to retrieve and save a list of data from my Siemens S7-1200 PLC. Using a batch file I had written I was able drill down the folder path to my wget.exe file. Upon running the wget executable I get the error message seen in the attached screenshot, labeled "Command Prompt Screenshot".
The command prompt shows me that I've "connected" and I know the username and password are correct because I can log into the PLC using my web browser. It's for those reasons I'm stumped on what the problem is.
Has anyone seen this before or can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks for the response Ken. I was actually able to get it working with the assistance of the Siemens technical support. Apparently my computer didn't like the way I was trying to pass it the username and password login credentials. Through Siemens TIA Portal software I was able remove the login restrictions, allowing all users access to reading data off the PLC and it works now. I've attached a copy of the exact batch file I used. Also, to make sure I'm adding as much detail as possible, I have the batch file and the wget.exe file saved to a folder on my c:\ drive. Greeting Everyone,
Hoping someone has a quick insight but I am getting access denied on a service account using the PowerShell command Remove-CMDevice.
This process is as per outlined here, https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj821759(v=sc.20).aspx
The account has permission to remove devices from SCCM and this works fine through the GUI but not the command line. I have been unable to find documentation on what permissions the account need to do this via command line, it works fine manually in the GUI.
If anyone can shed light on this it will be wonderful, I do want to keep this service account as having as minimal permissions as possible.
Many thanks,
Edit to Add Image as follows,
After a lot of testing, I'm here with an answer on the Permission part when using PowerShell console to remove CM system object. Of course the symptom is the same: The account can delete from Admin console, however, when using PowerShell, it failed with Permission error message.
The account to perform the Remove-CMDevice cmdlet must have proper RBA Permission on the object. Assume the security scope is default one, the account connected to Configuration Manager console must have below RBA permission which I tested is almost minimal permission:
In the screenshot the Collection part, the permission is easy to understand, Read, Delete Resource, etc.
For the Computer Association part, you may get confused, why?
Steps I did the troubleshooting:
I opened a PowerShell Console connecting to Configuration Manager using my test account and run below command to see what will happen:
Remove-CMDevice 'Rsuraceccc' -Verbose
I got below error:
Yes, it's trying to querying from the SMS_StateMigration. Then I try to run a simple command:
Get-WMIObject -NameSpace root\sms\site_clt -Query 'Select * from SMS_StateMigration'
Once again, I got error. So I get the conclusion that the account needs Permission on SMS_StateMigration. So I add 'Recover User State' permission of Computer Association on the role and tried again, cheers, this time all command runs successfully.
I don't know why it's using SMS_StateMigration, but this is the case here.
I have a .twb file created using the excel data source that is located in some network file path.
On publishing to server I get this error.
How to resolve this?
I need to provide some access for "Run as user" in my server machine, how could I do that ?
Ensure that when the workbook is created, a connection to the Excel file is created using the full UNC path
Ensure that the Tableau Server Run As user is able to access that file using the UNC path specified in the workbook. An easy way to test this would be to open Windows Explorer as the Run As user, then paste in the UNC path. If the Excel file opens, then you're good to go.
If you still have issues, test access to the file while logged into the Tableau server to make sure there is no firewall or port blocking access from that host. Often Excel isn't installed on servers for security reasons, so the test is not whether Excel opens the file, but whether you can view the contents from the server as the Run As User, even just using the type command at the console.
If you can't get your network access fixed, an alternative is to build and publish extracts to the server. There are multiple ways to accomplish that
I would like to know how can I print word files that are sent via email using my Ubuntu server. The network to which this server is connected has a few printing servers attached to it, and I want to use a specific print server to print my files.
Edit:
I've used lp and a script to convert doc files and it works, but I still can't figure out how to print email attachments that have a certain subject.
Edit 2: I've figured that out too, I've installed Google print on my server and now everything works except for color printing (I'm using generic drivers). Could somebody please tell me where can I download the PPD driver for my printer? It's an Olivetti D-color mf30.
Is it a newer printer that directly supports print-by-email? (Newer HP and Epson printers do this, and other manufacturers might support it as well.)
I wrote a post here about it: http://forum.print-dev.com/discussion/9/printing-directly-from-rails-app-to-printer
