We have a JBoss fuse ESB instance Running Version 6.3.0. With this, Installed as a Service using tanuki wrapper. When passing the javaagent Argument The Application (hawtio)Breaks. we have tried passing the argument in the following files:
JBOSSHOME/bin/karaf/
JBOSSHOME/etc/jboss-fuse-wrapper.conf
-javaagent:/agenthome/javaagent.jar
The JVM Loads the argument when it is passing in the wrapper.conf, but as mentioned before the application is not working when the argument is loaded in the JVM.
have anyone instrumented JBoss Fuse ESB with app dynamics before?
You need to add:
wrapper.java.additional.6=-javaagent:C://agent//javaagent.jar
into wrapper.conf file.

JBoss startup and Server logs are not getting updated completely like started in XXXX ms. But all the services are being deployed successfully. Is there any way to debug why the logs are not printing?

Just check on your the logging subsystem configuration in your standalone.xml.
If that's not the issue, this is probably a problem with your application configuration and not JBoss, probably you just have to exclude some logging libraries in your jboss-deployment-structure.xml, to use the provided and not the jboss instance libs.
I would like to avoid dependency on ActiveMQ. Is there a way to make JBossFuse to use WebSphereMQ ? (I'm assuming activeMQ is required for framework to run - internal dependency)
The description on jboss fuse site reads like..
Core messaging is provided by Apache ActiveMQ, services framework (SOAP, XML/HTTP, RESTful HTTP)...

Arguements like "it would be innefficient, expensive" etc, need not be considered at this stage. Reason for prefering WebSphereMQ is beyond my control.
No you can use JBoss Fuse without ActiveMQ at all. For example the minimal distribution does not come with AMQ pre-installed.
JBoss Fuse allows you to slice and dice what you want pre-installed.
If you want to use WebSphereMQ then you can do that, though that would be under the assumption that WebSphereMQ as a server is running in another JVM / box. And that JBoss Fuse would act as a client to that broker. If so you can install the WebSphereMQ Java Client JARs in Jboss Fuse and use that.
I am using JBOSS AS 7.0.2 Final, and was trying to upgrade the version of RESTEASY that comes with 7.0.2 RESTEASY 2.2.1.GA to a newer version such as 2.3.4.Final. I followed the directions as indicated in patching provided by JBOSS, and when I did that, at application server startup it throws the error of being unable to parse the module.xml file.
I attempted the same procedure on 7.1.1 Final and it works fine.
First Question is, anyone know how to update RESTEASY in 7.0.2 (My other servers are all using this so I really like not to have to reset my other servers and replace with newer version of JBOSS)
I was hoping to upgrade RESTEASY, with hopes that this error may have been resolved in newer version
I have also tried by adjusting my POM to use version 2.3.4.Final and tried every scope, but it always would fail to use the newer jars and stick with JBOSS supplied jar.

It works fine for json, and text, and singular xml objects, but not list objects for xml.
Any answers in regards to these issues with resteasy and jboss would be helpful.
I have a small assignment where I have to consume a webservice hosted with JBoss using a console application.
I have 2 projects in the same workspace, The DynamicWebApplication that I used as a webservice that is hosted using JBoss and a console application to access it. The console application also has the java files generated with wsimport
I am using the Eclipse IDE and whilst searching through the internet I found that I needed to copy the libraries found in JBOSS_HOME/common/lib to JBOSS_HOME/lib/endorsed but I still have the issue. Any ideas on why this is occurring?
PS. These are the libraries that I copied:
jbossws-native-jaxrpc.jar
jbossws-native-jaxws.jar
jbossws-native-jaxws-ext.jar
jbossws-native-saaj.jar
Ok I found the solution the the problem. Apparently I had to add the following code in the vm arguements:
-Djava.endorsed.dirs=/path-to/jboss-5.1.0.GA/lib/endorsed
We're using Oracle 10g application server and deployed the Web service and trying to deploy the web service client. Server is working fine i.e.; marshalling is working fine. We're getting the output from the service properly but the search client is not unmarshalling (parsing) the response received. We're using all the tags under same name space so there is no name space problem. Different collections would exists in the XSD. Has anyone faced similar kind of issue? Is there any solution for this?

Well... the issue was due to the library which was not running as expected in Java 1.5. We've developed the web service client with JAX-WS 2.2 which was running properly when running with Netbeans IDE 6.8 but not on the standalone server. We've downgraded the Netbeans and modified the libraries to JAX-WS 2.1. It worked...
Good to know. JAX-WS 2.2 is not compatible with Java 1.5
