Migration from JBoss EAP 6.4 to JBoss EAP 7.1 failed - jboss

I try to migrate my JBoss EAP 6.4 to JBoss EAP 7.1 using the JBoss migration tool.
When I run the following command:
jboss-eap-7.1/bin $ ./jboss-server-migration.sh --source /Path/to/the/old/jboss-eap-6.4
I get the following error (myjboss.xml is my configuration file in eap-6.4):

Skyve on Wildfly wont restart with StateTransitionException

On restart of Wildfly I get the following error:
java.lang.RuntimeException: org.ehcache.StateTransitionException: Persistence directory already locked by this process: C:\bizhub\workspace\content\SKYVE_CACHE
Shutdown Wildfly if it is running, in the directory named in the exception (in this case C:\bizhub\workspace\content\SKYVE_CACHE) there will be a file called .lock, if this file is removed and wildfly is restarted this should resolve the issue.

SOLR Connect to external MongoDB instance using DIH (Data import Handler)

I am looking for configuring full-text search using Apache SOLR, I am using MongoDB as database.
I am able to make successful connection between local MongoDB and local Apache SOLR using mongo drivers with Data import handlers.
However when I try to connect to the remote database from my local SOLR instance it is not allowing the connection.
Here is the error I am getting. Can anyone help me with this?

How to implement a custom scheduler in Heron?

I have read the Heron Documents about Implementing a Custom Scheduler. And I have known that I should implement some interfaces to implement a Custom Scheduler, such as ILauncher, IPacking, IScheduler and IUploader.
I have realized my CustomScheduler that implemented IScheduler interface, and I want to using LocalLauncher, LocalUploader and default Packing algorithm with my custom scheduler.
What's more, I modified the heron configuration file named scheduler.yaml that located at conf/local/ to use the custom scheduler. At the same time, I added the CustomScheduler.jar to heron-core/lib/scheduler/. However, there is something wrong as logs shows:
[2018-04-15 20:44:27 -0700] [STDERR] stderr: Exception in thread "main"
[2018-04-15 20:44:27 -0700] [STDERR] stderr: com.twitter.heron.spi.scheduler.SchedulerException: Failed to instantiate scheduler using class 'com.zyt.heron.custom.scheduler.CustomScheduler'
[2018-04-15 20:44:27 -0700] [STDERR] stderr: at com.twitter.heron.scheduler.utils.LauncherUtils.getSchedulerInstance(LauncherUtils.java:120)
[2018-04-15 20:44:27 -0700] [STDERR] stderr: at com.twitter.heron.scheduler.SchedulerMain.runScheduler(SchedulerMain.java:382)
[2018-04-15 20:44:27 -0700] [STDERR] stderr: at com.twitter.heron.scheduler.SchedulerMain.main(SchedulerMain.java:218)
what should I do to fix this problem? Thanks for your help!
The key is to provide your compiled .jar files to heron by copying your jar files into the .heron/lib/ folder.
I want to implement a custom scheduler and packing algorithm without recompiling Heron.
I have a project called "packing" that has the maven dependencies heron.api and heron.spi as requested.
My jar is called "packing-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT-jar-with-dendencies.jar built with maven.
What works for me are the following steps summarized in a small shell-script. I run it from within my packing-project folder to the assembly-command works:
#!/bin/bash
mvn assembly:assembly
cp target/packing-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT-jar-with-dependencies.jar $HOME/.heron/lib/packing/
cp target/packing-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT-jar-with-dependencies.jar $HOME/.heron/lib/scheduler/
echo "updated packing plan and scheduler"
Then, simply add your custom packing or scheduler to your config:
Example from the packing.yaml:
heron.class.packing.algorithm: com.hcep.packing.CustomPacking
with com.hcep.packing being my package structure in my packing-project and CustomPacking my packing class.
The direct reason for your Exception is your custom scheduler is not packaged with the heron release.
To make your custom scheduler work, you can follow the steps below:
add your implementation into the directory heron/schedulers/src/java/com/twitter/heron/scheduler
update the BUILD file at directory heron/schedulers/src/java
add your custom scheduler building target at tools/rules/heron_client.bzl and tools/rules/heron_core.bzl
Here is an example of how local scheduler is packaged: https://github.com/apache/incubator-heron/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=heron-local-scheduler&type=
You can develop custom scheduler for Heron - please follow any of the implementations for a scheduler in the code base.

Trouble with Authenticating with remote EJB calls to Wildfly 10

I'm trying to do Remote EJB calls to my Wildfly 10/JBoss 7 EAP server, but keep getting Invalid User error messages on my Wildfly server (my EJB is called LoginManager):
23:04:02,872 ERROR [org.jboss.as.ejb3.invocation] (default task-6) WFLYEJB0034: EJB Invocation failed on component LoginManager for method public abstract java.lang.String ejbs.LoginManagerRemote.echo(java.lang.String): javax.ejb.EJBAccessException: WFLYSEC0027: Invalid User
at org.jboss.as.ejb3.security.SecurityContextInterceptor$1.run(SecurityContextInterceptor.java:69)
at org.jboss.as.ejb3.security.SecurityContextInterceptor$1.run(SecurityContextInterceptor.java:49)
at org.jboss.as.ejb3.security.SecurityContextInterceptor.processInvocation(SecurityContextInterceptor.java:97)
I've added my user to the application-users.properties file using the add-user.sh/bat scripts.
I've tried putting in breakpoints in the Wildfly server itself in the SecurityContextInterceptor class on line 54 and see that the principal is null:
if (holder.skipAuthentication == false) {
holder.securityManager.authenticate(holder.runAs, holder.runAsPrincipal, holder.extraRoles);
I'm not entirely sure if this runAs or runAsPrincipal is the principal/credentials passed by the remote EJB invocation, but I suspect it might be responsible for my problem.
I'm calling the remote ejb as:
Properties p = new Properties();
p.setProperty(Context.URL_PKG_PREFIXES, "org.jboss.ejb.client.naming");
final Context context = new InitialContext(p);
LoginManagerRemote ejb = (LoginManagerRemote) context.lookup("ejb:ear-1.0/ejbs-1.0//LoginManager!ejbs.LoginManagerRemote");
return ejb.echo("test");
with my jboss-ejb-client.properties as:
remote.connectionprovider.create.options.org.xnio.Options.SSL_ENABLED=false
remote.connections=default
remote.connection.default.host=localhost
remote.connection.default.port=8080
remote.connection.default.connect.options.org.xnio.Options.SASL_POLICY_NOANONYMOUS=false
remote.conncetion.default.connect.options.org.xnio.Options.SASL_DISALLOWED_MECHANISMS=JBOSS-LOCAL-USER
remote.connection.default.username=test
remote.connection.default.password=test
Am I doing something wrong? Am I missing something obvious somewhere? What do I need to do to successfully call a remote EJB?
There's a typo in your jboss-ejb-client.properties
remote.conncetion.default.connect.options.org.xnio.Options.SASL_DISALLOWED_MECHANISMS=JBOSS-LOCAL-USER
Should be remote.connection.default.connect.options etc etc

Best Regards.
I know this was asked months ago but this question being one of the few sources i found in Google when encountering this problem, I think it'd good to share what bit i learnt:
I had the same exact problem and tried both things stated above. Still, my XML files didn't seem to be corrupted. In the end I found that the root of the problem was on the icu4j library which was, dont know why, among the dependencies in my project. Once I removed it, I was free of that error at last!
Should also be noted that Netbeans 7.0.1 (The IDE I'm using) also "uses" this library. I moved this library out of its original location just in case. NB continues to run without any problems so far.
Hope it helps someone else too!
I fixed mine in this way. It seemed that my XML file for the domain was corrupt ( I have no idea how) but what i did is as follows:
Remove your current server from the server node( right click and remove), then make a new server, except when it says to pick a domain, type in your own domain name (EX. myDomain) and then set up the server.
Wait for a few seconds, and bam, new XML file, not corrupt, and you should be able to run your server perfectly fine!
That's strange... How it does say "startup failed" if it loaded your app? Take a look at the last three lines of the log!
I had some problems like this, but all I needed is to right-click on the GF server node on "Services" tab and "refresh" it. Usually NB consider a slow GF startup as "failed".
Another answer which is possible now if using Java 8, but not at the time the OP asked, is that the server code contains lambdas. If you do have lambdas in your code, try to replace them with anonymous inner classes and your class(es) that were affected should now be good to go.
