Spring boot with Liquibase not executing in Docker - postgresql

I'm new to Docker and I've been trying to implement the containerization of database(Postgresql) and API(Spring Boot with liquibase). However, it seems like the liquibase is not running. Please see the following for your reference. Thanks in advance.

I see have provided all the configuration. Can you also provide what error are your receiving, what liquibase commands are you using?

SpringBoot and MongoDb integration in the Docker

I have a SpringBoot application running in the docker and I am using PostgreSQL as a database for this project and the database also running in the docker.
Now, I want to use MongoDb along with PostgreSQL as database to my SpringBoot application.
I added MongoDb info in the docker-compose.yml file and created new Dockerfile and ran the application. After that MongoDb got installed and running in the docker successfully.
I created a api for insertion of a document into the collection. When I hit the api I am getting the error. I think, I am not able to connect to the MongoDb which is running in the docker.
error:- com.mongodb.MongoSocketOpenException: Exception opening socket
I think I have to do configuration in the MongoDb before doing any CRUD operations.
Can anyone please share a detailed configuration of MongoDb with some examples.
Or provide some information which can help me achieve my task.

I resolve the issue and successfully able to connect and able to perform CRUD operations too.

Docker compose fails with error `failure in a Windows system call: The system cannot find the file specified. (0x2)`

I have a docker compose file that looks like this

and run the aforementioned command, the build completes successfully but I do get the error

Cannot start service webapp: container <container-id> encountered an error during hcsshim::System::CreateProcess:
failure in a Windows system call: The system cannot find the file specified. (0x2)
The code between v1 and v2 is very similar except in v2 I create a couple of new databases. If I switch my docker-compose file to use v1 the containers come up just fine. Curious as to what is causing the error and was wondering if anyone had some suggestions.
docker logs <containerid> does not show anything either.

DOCKER_Cannot run multiple services by docker-compose

I'm set up docker compose for my project with 2 services: spring-boot and postgresql. I created Dockerfile and docker-compose,yml as below:

I think you need to change the SPRING_DATASOURCE_URL to reference your service name instead of localhost. The service name is resolved automatically to your service since all services are part of the default_network by default in docker-compose.

Also, for clarity I would suggest you add the port to your docker-compose postgres service, so it is clear which port is being used, even if it is the default:

Also, another suggestion would be to try and use a healthcheck to see if your database service becomes available instead of a simple depends_on. The short version will mark the dependency fulfilled as soon as the container is Running, regardless of the availability of the database.
Either that, or you can add application logic to retry database connection in case of failure.

Spring Boot connection to Postgres fails when deploying with docker compose [duplicate]

I have a Java Spring Boot app which works with a Postgres database. I want to use Docker for both of them. I initially put just the Postgres in Docker, and I had a docker-compose.yml file defined like this:

Then, when I issued the commands sudo dockerd and sudo docker-compose -f docker-compose.yml up, it was starting the database. I could connect using pgAdmin for example, by using localhost as server and port 5432. Then, in my Spring Boot app, inside the application.properties file I defined the following properties.

spring.datasource.password=sample
spring.jpa.generate-ddl=true
At this point I could run my Spring Boot app locally through Spring Suite, and it all was working fine. Then, I wanted to also add my Spring Boot app as Docker image. I first of all created a Dockerfile in my project directory, which looks like this:

But, now if I issue sudo docker-compose -f docker-compose.yml up command, the database again starts correctly, but I get errors and exit code 1 for the web app part. The problem is the connection string. I believe I have to change it to something else, but I don't know what it should be. I get the following error messages:

Any ideas?
Each container has its own network interface with its own localhost. So change how Java points to Postgres:
spring.datasource.url=jdbc:postgresql://localhost:5432/sample
To:
spring.datasource.url=jdbc:postgresql://db:5432/sample
db will resolve to the proper Postgres IP.
Bonus. With docker-compose you don't need to build your image by hand. So change:
web:
image: myuser/manager:latest
To:
web:
build: .
I had the same problem and I lost some time to understand and solve this problem:

For start spring application with local database we use url localhost.
For connect to container with database we need change 'localhost' on your database service, in my case 'localhost' to 'db'.
Solution: add SPRING_DATASOURCE_URL environment in docker-compose.yml wich rewrite spring.datasource.url value for connect:

Error while Connecting to a mongo server from a spring boot application when running in a docker locally

I built a REST API using spring boot frame work. In the application I am trying to connect to mongo servers which I am successfully connected to while running in an IDE.
