Issue of imaginary bounding box near coordinates for model when viewing results in Paraview for Computational Fluid Dynamics - paraview

When I try to upload the controlDict folder into Paraview, it is inconsistent in terms of display. At times, like the picture shown below, I can only view the image of the model at that particular size and if I try to drag it out, there seems to be an imaginary bounding box around it then prevents me from viewing the model. I am currently using WSL to learn how to use openFOAM and this is a tutorial that I followed along regarding flow in an elbow. I’d like help regarding this matter.
I was following through a tutorial online and I expected to see the model fill the screen but to my surprise, there was an imaginary bounding box that limited my ability to render it as senter image description hereeen from the screenshots below. enter image description here

ImageJ : Overlay 2 Images When One is Distorted

I am asking for a step-by-step process with the appropriate plugins (I have been attempting with multipoint and landmark correspondence). Please include images in answer if possible.
I want to overlay two scientific images
The images are not oriented the same due to distortion of the second image from collection at a 45o angle and the object was also at a different orientation (flipped horizontally and slightly rotated)
In Adobe Photoshop I transformed the distorted image to overlay with the
first image by eyeballing the match as you can see below but I am having
difficulty using ImageJ to perform this overlay. I have been told that my
eyeballing method in Adobe Photoshop will not be sufficient for my methods
section of my manuscript and that I must use a scientific program such as
ImageJ.
I tried to follow instructions from the ImageJ forum for Multipoint and Landmark Correspondence but it does not overlay the two images or transform the second image to match the first. Rather, it distorts a portion of the second image and appears to crop the rest out.

Mapbox Studio - layer ordering / z-index

I am following the source quickstart tutorial. I have followed the tutorial all the way through, and am having trouble displaying the earthquake data (red circles) above the land vectors.
According to the symbol drawing order documentation:
“Higher” layers obscure “lower” ones.
However I'm not finding this to be the case. Please see attached screenshot:
The 'earthquakes' layer is the 'higher' layer, I think. I am using the 'Comic!' base map styles. Since the road lines also appear to 'mask off' the land vectors and show the earthquake data below, I'm wondering if this is causing the issue, but looking through the styles there's nothing obvious I can see.

The documentation is correct, however the comp-op family of CartoCSS properties affect how the colors of different layers interact with each other. In this case, the marker-comp-op: screen from the quickstart example was designed to work well over a darker satellite background, but becomes nearly invisible over solid white.
If you remove the marker-comp-op property or change it to a different compositing operation such as multiply the earthquake markers should show up fine.

GUI Layout Toolbox - Strange display with card panel object

Context
Using the GUI Layout toolbox I have created an interface which basically is divided in two parts:
A toolbar area where the user selects the way he want to see data
A preview area to display data upon selected mode in the toolbar
For the preview area I used a uietxras.CardPanel object to switch between the view modes.
Problem
After some investigations, I discovered that if I display things in 3D (or 2D) in one of the preview card using surf (or pcolor) then it alters the display in the second card. If I display data in 1D only using plot commands I have not issue!
The issue I have when using pcolor/surf in one of the preview card:
Titles and labels seem to overlay in Preview 1
Axis borders are not displayed correctly in preview 2
Legend borders (when displayed) are altered also
If I only use plot commands in both preview modes I have no issue at all and cards are switching nicely.

As far I know, I'm using latest version of the GUI Layout toolbox (1.17).
I'm using R2013b for Matlab
I came across this issue as well. I'm afraid I never quite worked out what the cause was exactly, and it didn't appear in a very consistent way. The issue seems to be that plots on non-selected cards are not hidden properly, and get overlaid just behind and around the edges of the plots on the selected card.
I would encourage you to raise the issue with the authors of GUI Layout Toolbox via the comments on the toolbox's page at MATLAB Central, as I do think it's a bug.
Nevertheless, the reason I never followed it up myself is that I found a fairly straightforward workaround, which may also work for you. Each time the selected card is changed, I ran a simple function that deleted all children of all cards, and then re-plotted whatever I wanted on the selected card. It seemed a bit annoying to have to do that, but it worked, and removed any of the display issues you've come across.
Ok got it, the issue has nothing to do with CardPanel themselves, it is linked to the renderer of the figure.
Trying simple code below:

If the figure's renderer is set to 'OpenGL' (the default) ==> there are some glitches:
If the figure's renderer is set to 'zbuffer' ==> there is no glitch:
Setting the renderer to 'zbuffer' fixes the problem.
NB: Maybe OpenGL rendering can be fixed by fine tuning graphic card acceleration settings, but I don't know ... I issued opengl software and opengl hardware commands in Matlab and software rendering is worst than hardware rendering on my machine.
EDIT: Side notes
Transparency effects are only available if the renderer is set to 'openGL'. It is thus not possible to visualize at the same time both 1D and transparent-3D data without glitches (at least with hg version 1 in R2013b).

Human Detection using edge detection

I am trying to detect exact silhouette of human body in this dataset using background subtraction. After doing some thresholding I was getting split blobs so I looked at this tutorial by Steve but now I am getting blob other that human body as shown below
So here is the original
After Subtracting it from background, background was considered as the first frame of the video, so after subtracting it from orignal image I get the following image
so I did basic thresholding and I get the following image, which is split from further areas
and using Steve's method I get this
But this contains a lot of area which is not a part of human body, any suggestion if somehow or using edges I can get good blob of human body.

Instead of literally subtracting the background, try using the vision.ForegroundDetector object, which is part of the Computer Vision System Toolbox. It implements the mixture-of-gaussians adaptive background modeling, and it may give you a cleaner segmentation.
Having said that, it is very unlikely that you will get the "exact" silhouette. Some error is inevitable.
In your result image, you have tow types of black regions. one is moving and the other is stationary.
So when you you want to fill the human body, you have to choose only the moving region, for this purpose, I suggest to segment your image by adding optical flow technique to know where the moving regions are.

Simple form with pixel manipulation in Qt

I'm completely newbie to Qt
i want to create a 800X600 window that just show some circle and be able to manipulate pixels of the form. there is no interaction between user and form(no click, no dblclick,...) it just shows some circles with one color and lines with different pixel colors(each line may have different pixel colors)
also i want to be able to change the coordination system, i mean change it from top-left to the center of the window. could anyone help me do that with some sample code?
